  1. I disagree. Guess what happens when you complain to the cable company or your water/power provider? Nothing. Maybe you should all learn a lesson here: complaining and whining is not always the appropriate solution. And for once look at it from their point of view, they are in it to make money, regardless of you may want/need. I think they've given the F2P plenty. In addition, I think they are making every effort to make the existing game as good as they can for everyone. AND, they keep addressing al of your complaints. So, again, if you're still not happy after, almost, a year and a half, go play GW2. And I played that game, and it stunk.

Actually the last time Comcast got a complaint from me they gave us a $50 reduction on our bill for 6 months, same thing for our electric company - $25 reduction for 4 months. Complaints are the reason there is a complaint department in nearly every company. :D

  2. While my comment was a bit false, it still stands that there is only one obtainable shield (w/mod slots) on pub side between the levels 1-21 And anything else I've seen on the gtn is either a Focus,or Shield Generator. Both of which are useless to a Shadow in tank tree.

And regardless of the amount of tanking abilities i possessed between said levels I'm playing a tanking class so is it better to replace a piece of equipment every couple of levels until you hit lvl 22? Or just have a set of lvl 9 off-hands in the artifice tree that can be used from level 9-55.

And since we're bringing up previous posts, your original argument was that since the mod-able ones serve no cosmetic benefit we have no reason or need to craft them? It has nothing to do with cosmetics...

  3. My point (since you need it pointed out) was that the poster above your previous post said to solo it to get the shield - hence my statement that it cant be done.

Now as to whether or not someone else wants to is neither here nor there to the point of the thread in the first place, but since your feel like re-iterating off the OP lets say i get someone to give it a go with me, lets count how many runs it could possibly take to get a single piece of gear to drop from one of several bosses.

  4. The companion acadamy thing would be cool, seriously would love to be able to send a force sensitive comp like Jaesa to heal (sorry Quinn but you just suck).

Personally though I'd love to see JTL space combat within this game's engine - its the one thing i truly wholeheartedly miss from SW:Galaxies along with all the many Fighters, Cruisers, and PoB ships I owned.

(for those that dont want it, either never had the chance to try it in SWG, or never got a feel for it)

JTL was the single most coolest thing I'd ever seen in a game for me cause when ground combat got dull I just had to jump into my adv. tie fighter, jedi starfighter, or one of my fav. neutral behemoths and do some space pvp, or bounty hunting.

  5. For me, the worst healing companion is Malavai Quinn. He is always using his blaster instead of healing.

The only solution I have found is to remove his blaster and his fighting abilities, so that he has nothing else to do than healing.

In the opposite, no such problem with Elara Dorne, Tharan Cedrax, Lokin or Talos Drelik.

They can both fight and heal.

Same issue here, matter of fact I've Quinn in HM gear and his healing is sub par compared to my other healing comps' on alt 55's.

  6. It seem's like they cater to one crew skill and ignore the others with added content. Just wish they was a little more "giving" across the board instead of "we're favoring this crew skill this patch, sorry for the rest of ya. Maybe next time." ;)
  7. Simply put my Jug is 450 artifice, leveling a new Jedi Shadow. He is lvl 17 and apparently there are few tanking off-hands from 1-17. Except in the extremely slim case of one in Essles (which btw is str not willpower but that's besides the point.) This got me to wondering why as an Artifice we have 100's of off-hands to craft and none of them can be modded.
  8. Completely understand where the OP is coming from, I've wanted something like a Wookie, or Bothian since early access. Now they say that listening to anything in an alien language is their reason for not letting us decide what we want. Either way it will most likely never have any of the choices we had in Galaxies, or Player homes, or anything near what we had in Galaxies:JTL. So we take what they offer and be happy we get that.
  9. a forum specific to your server, that way you can really get to know your community and know what both sides think and goals are..

anyone else missing this? usually most mmos have this forum section, i guess they didn't implement it cuz a lot of **** talking goes around?

/sarcasm Sorry but that's a content update and will not be seen before patch 1.4

  10. Title says it all, we have it for Alignment Gain so why isn't there an indicator to show affection gains for companions. I realize this could be extensive to work into the existing code but after 8 different play through's I'm sick of resetting almost every conversation 5-10 times for best possible outcomes for max affection.
  11. Was actually thinking the exact same idea as the OP this morning, why not make all slotted gear light armor and adaptive. Just makes more sense than limiting it to social, but that's only because as my SI has 2x less options for gear as any medium or heavy armor class. And in some cases may be some light armors that may appeal to sith warriors that only a sith inquisitor can wear feasibly. Just my 2 cents
  12. So as a Tank I'm trying to squeeze every little bit of usefulness out of these magical squares.

And was wondering about a certain stat called Cunning, which increases tech damage and crit chance.

I'm not a complete idiot I know its a useless stat and never gear for it but as a min/maxer should i follow through and grab the free cunning datacrons, or does it absolutely do nothing for the class?

  13. So after reading that we was once allowed to kill our companions and then players thought that was going too far, so Bioware removed the option. Thats ok but here's the thing.

In a Galaxy not so Far away there was this Sith Apprentice who had overcome his training to become a great warrior, he had slain thousands to achieve unbridled power, and had reduced his former Master to a pile of ash after betraying the Sith Apprentice.

And now, after all had been dealt with, and the celebration over the newly appointed Darth Lord heads to his ship for what is to be the greatest moment ever...

2V-R8: Greeting's master your looking fit, and deadly, as always.

Darth: So you ever see the Sarlak Pits of Tatooine?

    2V-R8: Master?

Darth: Oh never-mind just another routine mission for the Emperor you know how he is, "blah blah blah go kill those Jedi blah blah blah something blah Jedi blah blah always blowin up mah stuff blah blah kill em!"

2V-R8: Ahem yes to Tatooine then.

[players quest log updates "Last Roundup - Travel to Tatooine" anxious player with an axe to grind continues to Tatooine]

    (screen fades black)

(Cinematic of ship entering Tatooine atmosphere locating Sarlak Pits then hovers over)

    (Screen Fade to ship interior)

2V-R8: Master we have arrived at the indicated location.

Darth: Good, I'll get to that shortly. Hey could you come help me with the door here?

2V-R8: Sir if you wish to land we should locate a suitable star port.

Darth: Yeah I know it's just that there's something in the way of this hydraulic.

2V-R8: Ship maintenance is not part of my programming but if you insist.

Darth: Oh I do, Broonmark give me a hand here.

    (screen fade to Cinematic)

(Door opens and 2V-R8 is thrown into Sarlak Pit)

2V-R8: Excellent I was just wondering whaaaaaa

Everything is right in the Galaxy once again, happiness ensues.

[Quest Complete +25 Experience +1000 Affection to All]

Now of course you would have to change a few names around in the dialogue and maybe throw a lightside choice in that simply tells the droid he should keep his trap shut the next time he thinks a Dark Lord of the Sith needs his opinion and they all live happily ever after. But yeah you get the gist of it. :p
