  1. I've been a Star Wars fans since well 85 (born in 80). I know beyond FACT that Cathar are NOT the most desired playable species for TOR fans. Maybe for furrie RP freaks but NOT for Star Wars fans. This is simply an insult to the intelligence and knowledge of Star Wars fans.

    Rodian

    Trandoshan

    Wookiee

those three right there are far ahead of cather.

Unless they speak basic, all three of these are a no. If you don't like it, you can write George Lucas a nice letter.

  2. Here is what you guys are failing to understand, This was a story mode raid.

There are only three reasons to go into a story mode raid found by the group finder.

Reason one: You want BH comms.

Reason two: You want companion gear.

Reason three: You want gear that isnt nessicary for tier progression anymore and can be skipped completely.

The guy who goes in there and is need rolling for his companion has the same rights to that gear, as he spent the same amount of time in there, even if its for his companion.

I got all my companions full rakata before the group finder was even released, and I wouldnt personally roll on columi for my companion, but the guy had a right to roll on anything that has dropped in the story mode.

Congratulations, you win the Moron of the Day Award.

  3. Roughly how far away is this companion? Few weeks? Couple months? 6 months? A year?

I am just asking so that i can prepare my Republic alt in time, and have her leveled up high enough so that i can start the mission to obtain it the day it arrives.

So far, ive leveled her to 20, but since there has been no official word on how high your single opposing faction alt needs to be in order to gain the companion... i am just leveling it begrudgingly as a requirement only. I dont particularly like being forced to have one just to get a companion for the rest of my alts.

I find it funny someone QQing about FTP and supposedly cancelled their subscription is so worried about a new companion.

  4. LOL at someone thinking WoW was ever truly hardcore.

I was playing EQ2 and we used to say how anyone who played WoW was the noob....

Your "hard" raids were always super easy compared to the real mmos.

Played that too but you brought up WoW so...wut? Trying to bring in another title doesn't change the subject matter. You mentioned raids in WoW not being cleared in a week and I know for a fact, because the game got so damn easy, that they were cleared much faster.

  5. But WoW's raids usually had more than just 4 bosses.....4 easy bosses(really you could make the argument that it's only 3 bosses) that you can pug.

Naxxramas had 4 bosses per wing.

There was actual progression in WoW's raids. You usually didn't clear them all the first week.

LoL at Naxxramas. You were probably one of the baby players that got the redone turd for Wrath. A raid so easy you could pug people in greens and clear it. Should have been there for the original. Hardest raid ever done in that game and it didn't even have a "hard mode." Also, all the raids since Wrath have been cleared within the first week. Deathwing was down after 2 days, if not faster.

  6. This site just shows population based on the people logging into the game, it doesn't show actual subscription numbers. These drops are normal when there is a dry spell between content. Also, those numbers will be declining more and more as it gets closer and closer to schools starting back up again. This still doesn't show any change in subscription numbers and only Bioware/EA will have that information.
  7. so i'm unsubbing :*(

I don't WANT to - but I've tried to play all weekend long

and the servers are all heavy pop or full,

    * mobs are all dead and lpeople are standing around waiting for respawns

    * fps is horrible due to massive overcrowding

    * lag is horrific;

if i had been able to stay on my original server, i'd be a happy customer for years to come.

but forcing me onto these busy overpop'ed servers = me no longer being able to play the game :jawa_frown:

it's not personal preference; it's from being playable to no longer playable, due to being forced off my

other servers, so i have to quit <sob>

ty for the fun the last 7 months it was a blast and i will miss swtor horribly, sorry

lol wow, thats just sad. The servers had more people on them at launch and we still got to play and got the quests done. This just sounds like more whining or just a troll.

  8. The system for the trade of wealth has some very silly issues with it that I would really like to see changed to help the economy of our servers become healthier. These are some obvious things that should have occurred to the team that designed the GTN Search Screen, the main problem is the way you post items for sale.

Most people who use the GTN just post the instant gratification price that is listed with the item, this is ridiculous because the players who KNOW what the item is know that it is worth far more. Take end game companion gifts for example, the artifact ones can sell for 10000-25000 on my server but the GTN will tell you to post it for like 4k which causes the seller to lose out AND the other competitor items for sale are either forced to repost a sale a bunch or they lower their prices. This has NOTHING to do with the demands or supplies of the items, it is purely because the GTN tells them to post for that price. Having played many other MMO's I assumed that the GTN was offering me recommended average prices, not the vendor price for the item, which is down-right ridiculous as almost every item in every MMO becomes more expensive than the vendor price. This is causing major instability in the market, imagine for a moment of this happening in the real world with important products. If we had say Oil for $86 a barrel and that was the standard price, then someone enters the market offering it for $25 because that is the raw production cost without any profit, the system will fall apart. No business will purchase the $86 barrels and when the $25 have sold out people will hold off on purchasing hoping that they will return. Then the $86 barrels will drop in price to be competitive, lets say to $50, a few people will purchase these but still others will hold off. The market will fluctuate wildly and IF no one sells any other cheap oil it will settle. But if another person sells it low again it will cause the same scenario to repeat until their is an economic breakdown to the point where it isn't profitable anymore so no one does it.

This needs to be fixed, it causes huge problems with out Crew Skills as well, if it costs me 10kish to send them out and I am returned with items that are recommended to be sold at 2.4k and i do sell them... I just spent 30 min to make 2k... Huge waste and makes my Mission Skill useless. But because of player demand they realize that the items are worth more and pay between 4-6k for greens and 10-25k for the artifacts. Which makes my skill profitable and makes me likely to post them. I love the economy of MMO's and this one seems to have had very little thought into it and it seems like the people in charge have no idea how modern economics works...

Please share your ideas on the subject, maybe we can get them to change it if we talk about it enough.

    Never heard of Wal-Mart eh?

  9. Really? People are whining about the way characters are shaped? There are a lot more important matters for Bioware to address instead of whether or not your character looks good in a robe. Personally, I would rather they fix the game breaking bugs first. I'm sure Bioware is fully aware of the issues but I'm also sure its way down on the list of importance.
  10. I know I am on a PvP server....to be killed in open world is to be expected. But here lately, more and more Republics are camping the Poisonous Strat area and pulling mobs into people who are trying to get their dailies finished. It's not that they just happen to be there, it's the fact that they will sit and camp there for hours on end.

Where is the line drawn between fair PvP play and grieving players?

I'm sure there are Imperial players who are doing the same thing to the Republics, which IMO is not right either. I just want to know, is this legal play or is this a bannable offense?

There was one guy, who has not been around for a long time who sat there 24/7. I guess he was banned because I have not seen him in over a week now. But now that he's gone, there have been others to take his place. Not sure what kind of kicks they are getting out of it, you get nothing out of it. There seems to be no point to this.

Anyone who plays on Prophecy of the Five know exactly what and who I am referring to.

I don't know what lines Bioware has put up when comparing PvP and griefing but this isn't exactly anything new. You are on a PvP server and stuff like this will be a daily occurance. The warnings are there about joining a PvP server and the choice was yours. This isn't anything special either considering on just about any other MMO, people will do the same things. The difference is that those people make friends and groups and kill the ******es that are camping instead of coming to the forums to cry.

  11. I can't wait until the cross-server warzones you guys have makes it across the pond to the States.

Do you really believe this stuff or do you just like getting a rise out of people?

Also, noticed you changed your sig to make your snarky comments about the best Sage and the best Operative slightly less obvious.

As of right now, any person in this game can claim that they are the best of a class or in the best ranked team. This guy is a troll, nothing more and nothing less. There is NO true ranking system in this game as of yet and until there is, everything the fool says is nothing more then hot air.

  12. All this "everyone is a winner" mentality is really annoying. If you are going to be terrible in a warzone, people should tell you that you are terrible. No one should pat you on the back and say "we'll get them next time champ."
  13. But it's still hilarious to bait defenders in Voidstar by backpedaling... slowly... away from the doors (you can hear the gears going in their head, "lol what a backpedaling noob, must killllll"), and grin when you see a team mate cap the door behind the tunnelvisioning defenders.

This. I do this all the time. I swear it works like 90% of the time too because people are so dense.

  14. I hate Marauders/Sentinels only with those damn cooldowns which pretty much make them invulnerable. Other then that, I would gladly fight a Marauder/Sentinel any day of the week over a damn Powertech/Vanguard.
