I'm pretty sure they are just hesitant because of worries about what will happen to pops once they do this. They are scared that everyone will migrate to one and leave dead servers again.
It's a shame, because I actually want to transfer to a lower pop server (Jung Ma) from the Bastion (higher pop) because (like everyone else said) I WANT TO CONSOLIDATE MY CHARACTERS, ya know, for that legacy system you guys sorta built?

I know a few crafters can make it, but was wondering if anyone is willing to trade the armorings for mats/tip in person. Most people want me to mail the mats to them, and I totally respect that, but this is a lot of money/mats to handle through mail and I would just feel more comfortable handling it in person.
If you can make a trade like this, please contact me in-game. Thanks!

So weird. I picked up a Hazmat force lord helmet from downing Xeno. I then proceeded to rip out the armorings/mods/enhancements and sent them to my alts to RE. I was able to RE the mod and enhancement with a chance at the schematic but not the armoring. Anyone know why?

honestly its people like you who ruin these forums. you complain that there is nothing to do, then you complain that you can't blow through the content in 2 days.
No its people like you who make personal attacks that are ruining the forums. Nowhere in his post did he complain about nothing to do. He is only stating the fact that he doesn't want to wait for his reward. The fact that he has many alts, seems like there is plenty for him to do.

I seriously doubt people are quiting the game because there are no paid transfers. Afterall, you are still here.
That doesn't even make sense. People who got fed up due to lack of transfer have quit and moved onto the game. If BW wants the rest of the population follow suit, they can continue to sit on their butts.
To the people who are saying stop complaining, go play on Jung Ma where at peaktime there is 80 ppl on the fleet, and regular WZ's can take 10-30 minutes to pop, and then tell me we don't need some sort of transfer service.

Same thing happened to me. What I did to get past this, was exit the game, restart it, and then go and logon to your server. Create a new character, get to the first scene and then logout. You should be able to login with your guy that's stuck now.
I think it something to do with the game thinking you are still logged in when you aren't. The only way to "trick" the system is to create a new character and then logout with that new character.
This happened to me and a few guildmates and they did this solution and it worked. Hopefully it does the same for you. Good luck!

Republic side was still dead last night. After waiting in the queue on my sage for 20 minutes I gave up and logged out.
Explains why all my PVP fights on the imp side have become a rotation of playing the same faction players over and over again.
Bioware..please give us transfer! I don't care about a new ops, facial expression, or shadow changes. We want to play with people!!!

Wow, people stil think this is hard? Stop going in bad gear and learn the mechanics. With the lack of new content, this is slowly becoming the new Black Talon to me...#facerolled.

Why are you sitting on this Bioware? I know you guys are capable to execute this so are you guys discussing on how you will charge us for this and how you can make the most money doing it? I don't even care if you rip me off money wise for the transfer, I just want to play with my friends on another server. THAT IS WHAT WILL ULTIMATELY KEEP ME SUBSCRIBING LONGER...PLAYING WITH FRIENDS...NOT THE CRAP FLUFF"

I have a very open mind and I was willing to sit through most of the bugs, lack of content that SWTOR has experience in the first year. I mean these type of things are normal for a first year MMO so I was willing to tough out the bugs, balancing issues, etc. while Bioware got under their feet.
My biggest letdown has really been the server transfers. I've been waiting to bring my toon over to my friend's server since March and to this date, have not gotten any news/ETA on when this can happen. We all know it's capable of them to move characters (as evident with the Jung Ma => Bastion move, so I am not sure why they are sleeping on it.

Can we get this transfer service already? We've only been asking about this for the last few months!!
I can only imagine how many people un-subbed because this service wasn't offered.

The budget is bigger then 200 million, its probably in the range of 500 million with marketing, the article I just gave you suggest the game is probably has the biggest budget for any game ever, i can probably find six or seven more articles that support that statement
Wow, talk about pulling numbers out of your arsh. From someone who works directly in marketing, I can tell you no way in hell Bioware spent 300 milly marketing the game. Did you see a superbowl ad? I can't even remember any tv commercials. Online ads would not equate to that big of a marketing budget.

Hmmmm. If that actually works, then at this point I am going to say that even though you may have found the *only* use for Legacy Gear....I'm going to also say that is risky since it sounds like an exploit.
Might actually want to research things before you make posts complaining about implementation. It's not an exploit and this is how legacy gear is intended, hence the price.

Actually you're wrong. You can't use that example till level 50 anyway. Plus it's rare you would have an alt of the same class so having heavy armour for a light armour wearer is useless for example, not mention stat compatibility. So not going to happen very often.
At level 50 you get gear fairly quickly anyway.
Again, it's useless and costs too much.
Actually, I'm still right. The legacy armor serves it purpose by letting you transfer modding over. The example I mentioned may not apply directly to him, but the main point is that legacy armor as a conduit piece between your characters which warrants the high cost. He thought he bought a 150k piece that he could just pick up off a mob.

I decided to get into it and at least try. I even bought a head piece that was orange for an alt from the legacy vendor. Then... I went to Nar Shadaa and the very first quest you do there gives you an orange head piece with the exact same model as the one you just bought for 150k. Those Legacy vendors should be taken out of the game, they are that useless. That kind of thing down right annoys me.
Wrong. They can be used to transfer mods/armorning between characters. So you can put your unwanted columni mod in this legacy armor and give it to your alt. You can't do that with the piece you pick up.

I have gathering on all my toons. Yet I hardly gather at all but purchase underpriced items off the GTN and re sell for the going rate. Days when I'm not at work I net 1 million credits per day and even when I just log once a day to check the mail I net around 400k per day credits

Agreed. You figured anyone at legacy level 30 could afford this. WRONG. Unless you are playing the GTN game or grinding boring dailies, you are actually out playing and enjoying the MAIN POINTS of the game (HM's/operations/pvp/leveing alts,etc)
Do they really require me to go to the Black Hole 30x in a week so i can get all these bonuses for my toons?

You do realize that for professionals, its the little details that make all of the difference, right?. Bioware OBVIOUSLY doesn't care about the little details. Heck, there are some BIG details they don't care about,, like the terrible lag since the last patch.
This is correct. As much as I don't care about some little error like this, they are professional, and it scares me with what other kind of details fall through the cracks.

Yeah just let us go anywhere. People barely RP on these servers anyways so I'm more than happy to go to a standard one on the west coast.

Seeing this as well. My guy will stop, the server lactency will jump to some crazy number like 44k or something, and then like 5-10 seconds later, all the action that happened during that lag spike will occur like it's a fast forwarded video.
It's a very random occurrence so it's hard for me to pinpoint if it's me or the servers.
