  1. I think you'll find the website is hosted on different servers to the game. However it makes perfectly practical IT sense to do all of your maintenance at the same time. Not only do you get at least 24 hours notice that this will occur but the information is still available on the launcher as to when the servers will come back up.

Except the launcher points to the web site for more info Ike server status etc. I was really surprised to see the forums down at the same time since I wanted to use that time to read up on things.

  2. Meant to post these links yesterday, but I got sidetracked. This is the vinyl picturedisk of the soundtrack from Ep. IV.

Since you are a younger SW fan, I wanted to ask... ROTJ is your favorite episode, so do you prefer the version where the ending was changed (young Anakin instead of the original)?

Awesome. I'm going to look for my records when I get home.

The crafting was terrible. Nothing like wasting a few hours flying from planet to planet sampling all the resources just to find out where the best one was for the moment and on top of that needing multiple things just to create an item that you needed to create another.

Have to disagree with you here. I thought crafting was one of the best things about SWG. It was not cookie cutter crafting and people could really differentiate their wares by experimenting with different resources and techniques.

  4. 1977 in a theater in Richmond, VA. I was 5 at the time and remember Darth Vader scaring the crap out of me when they boarded the ship. Before the avent of VHS, I had the movie on a record and listened to it over and over while looking at the picture book that came with it. I think I still have that somewhere.
  5. I'd like this feature too, but it doesn't bother me so much that I won't play the game though.

I'd also like to see an option to set the sound output to than default in windows, because I have two outputs, one to headset and the other to my speakers. I'd like to be able to switch.

I don't care as much about the sound in the background, but I would definitely like the ability to switch to headphones in game instead of having to log out and the rejoin the long line in the queue.

  6. I can understand why some people feel cramped at 4, but personally I've yet to actually feel like a party I was in needed a 5th or 6th.

Well, they've definitely designed it so you don't need a 5th or 6th which is good since that's the decision they made. To me the group size mainly limits the social aspect I use groups for. To be fair, I'm normally grouping with friends, so I can see how people that normally just look for groups are encouraged that it doesn't take long to fill one up.

  7. Forgive me if this has already been discussed but there is no search option on these forums and I didn't see anything about this in the first 15 or so pages.

Is anyone else extremely disappointed with the limit of 4 for group size? I regularly play with 6-8 people who like to group together but this limit really puts a crimp in our ability to play together. Working around bugs is one thing but this would appear to be a conscious decision on Bioware's part which I find perplexing.
