  1. The original class companions have long since been condemned to the sidelines, never to be heard or seen again in any real capacity.   Instead, we get a new group of companions with very little reason to really care about.   Content that has appeared since 5.0 dropped shows that only the "new group" is going to get attention.

As for Date Night with Vette?   It's not going to happen for years, if ever.

But I can admittedly say that this is the one thing that I'm hope I'm wrong about.

  2. Most people have the very valid complaint about which companions are getting attention here....and it's because many of the active posters really don't care about the four mentioned previously.     We (including me) want to see our original story companions get another chance to shine....and we get focus on companions that people either don't care for and/or have actively removed from their list (such as killing Koth).

I'll be interested in this if/when there's ever focus back on the original companions....the others I just don't care about.

  3. Please remove all the clutter, so that the only thing on it are the quick travel points.     As it is, there's at least objectives and taxi locations; which makes trying to actually FIND the QT point that you want often difficult.

  4. Let me comment on some of the "problems" others are claiming to have and give you suggestions for each; in the spirit of the "solutions" that have been suggested to those wanting a "Snowball Vaccine".

    Problem: Large Mounts Blocking Vendors

Solution: Wait until they move or use another vendor.   It's a multiplayer game, which means you'll find other PLAYERS.

    Problem: Player Toys

Solution: Stay off of fleet and other high traffic areas.   Again, it's a multiplayer game..

Problem: Rakghoul Plague causing loss of character control.

Solution:  Remove all crowd control skills from players and npcs, as those cause the same issue.   In addition, the vaccine should be removed as there's achievements from infecting other players.

Problem: Doulbe XP causing character to level too fast.

Solution: None needed as Level sync makes your actual character level irrelevant.   Recommend removal of White Acute module.

  5. Yes, we're still discussing this.    We got the White Acute module because enough people wanted an opt-out item for Double XP, so an item that allows us to opt-out of getting hit by snowballs is also reasonable.  That way, those who want to throw snowballs can while those of us who'd rather not can be left in peace.

It has nothing to do with harassment, griefing, or anything else that's been suggested.

  6. Since the conversation has wandered off topic, I'll reiterate my original point.

Myself and others are wanting an item like the Rakghoul Vaccine so we can opt-out of the snowflakes part of the event.   We're not asking for anything more than that.

Did someone force you to log into the game? Or do GTN on fleet of all places while the event is going on? You could go to your stronghold (unlisted if you wanted no one to find you) and concentrate on GTN there, but you chose not to. So whether you like it or not, you are participating in the event voluntarily.

How about "no", White Knight (or Troll).

How about I pay the same as everyone else so I should have the same access as everyone else.

the devs could spend resources and time coding a way that disables all character to character interaction from toys like the Music Therapy Droid and Snowball, or players can accept their characters will sometimes randomly dance or have snow sparkles.

I would love a lot of things, but dev time is very limited especially to fix something that is an "issue" 3-4 weeks out of a year.

Honestly, I've never had a problem with these....as I can simply move a bit to get out of the area of effect.

Snowballs, on the other hand, can not be dealt with that way.   Clicking to remove a snowball simply means getting hit with another snowball, which is why I want a way to not get affected by them.    You're forced to participate....even when you'd rather not.

  9. Life Day is the only event that I can think of that it's either "opt in" or you have an option to "opt out".   To address a few things that have popped up:

    • PVP in this game is entirely voluntary: you have to actively change to a PVP open world area or otherwise que into pvp  content.
    • Life Day isn't the only event that you do achievements for ... interacting...  with other players.    Rakghoul has the infect other players achievement.
    • There's ways to opt out off everything else:  You have the White Acute module for double xp.   You have the vaccine for the Rakghoul event.     Even the Nar Shaadda Nightlife event can be ignored (by not using the tokens).

And as more than one person has pointed out....they'd simply prefer an option to not participate.

  10. I've discovered two issues,  currently concerning with the changes to how QT works.

First: Completed objectives always appear on the map, which means that I can't see the QT points to use them.   I have to move the mouse around until I find it.

Secondly:  You can not access QT points in locations that you haven't explored yet, even if the QT point has been unlocked.
