  1. I think you should be able to change your appearance, for sure! Just think, start your character out looking young, thin, etc, then as you progress, change a few things (body size goes up because you've been training, face gets older looking, hair loss). But make it a manual thing, not automatic. Some might not want to age.

Just think what this could do for the Role-Playing aspect alone!

  2. 1. Everquest. A friend bought me a copy of Everquest in 1999, mainly because I wouldn't buy it myself. After playing for a couple hours, I was hooked!

I played for the next 4 years, was about to quit when Lost Dungeons of Norrath came out, but someone I had met online, who had pre-ordered two copies by accident & couldn't return one, e-mailed me the CD-Key to keep me playing. He left the game a few months later, & I decided I didn't have time for two games, so I chose SWG over EQ in 2003.

    2. Star Wars Galaxies. I got SWG in 2003 because of a few friends at work were into it & talking about it all the time. I was already familiar with MMOs from EQ, but I soon realized SWG was not your normal MMO. I fell in love with it! Everything was so different! The completely player-run economy, TRUE player housing, open world PvP, etc.

Even though I feel that the overflow of Jedi into the game eventually killed the timeline feeling of the game, I will admit I got caught up in it & did the hologrind myself (28/32 professions later... ugh). I enjoyed playing a Jedi, hiding from the public, watching out for other players on my radar, but it really alienated me from others. In the end, it made the game more of a job than a hobby.

I didn't mind the Combat Upgrade all that much, but the NGE was the last straw. I couldn't continue playing. Before 2005 ended, I left that galaxy far, far away.

    3. Everquest 2. I pre-ordered Everquest 2 & started playing it in 2004. I loved it at first & almost stopped playing SWG, but after about 2 months, it got boring. I don't know what it was, but everything seemed so repetitive. That game didn't make it to the first expansion.

    4. World of Warcraft. After I left SWG in 2005, I didn't play any games for a little while. In mid-2007, a friend at work convinced me to try World of Warcraft. A lot like Everquest 2, after a few months, it got stale & repetitive & stopped playing after less than 6 months.

    5. Star Wars: The Old Republic. Now we're all caught up, got invited to the beta in early November, pre-ordered the following Monday. Hopefully it lasts longer than 6 months...

  3. That's the nice thing about this game, ever class has a very in-depth storyline. Sure, you might have to do all the side quests & heroics over again, but a lot of the choices for conversation paths might be different.

The secret for alts is to roleplay them when speaking to NPCs. Figure out what kind of person your character is, then choose replies that he/she would make. I know it sounds like common sense, but you'd be surprised how many people don't think of these things.

  4. That is too awesome!

My kids pretty much wore out my OT DVDs, while my prequels sit on the shelf collecting dust.

I joked that I had the "Star Wars Prequel Curse", because my oldest son was born in '99, same year as Episode I. My 2nd son (whom I named Hayden, not so much because Hayden C is an amazing actor, but because my wife & I liked the name), was born in '02, same year Episode II was released. My daughter was born in '05, same as Episode III. Wasn't planned & I actually didn't even realize it until about a year after my daughter was born :D.

  5. FotJ I think is pretty awesome. This is my opinion of course

I started reading Outcast, but didn't have a lot of time to read, so I was coming back to it after a week of not reading & couldn't get into it.

Maybe I'll give them another shot after I read the Darth Bane series. I'm almost done with the 1st book, & I haven't had any problems getting into it. Good read so far!

  6. also on a side note. I cannot overclock the gpu at all. I have a 6770. I can move the sliders and set it but my pc crashes evertime I do. Could this be power supply related or once again bios limiting speed/power?

Every one is different, just like CPUs, Not all of them can handle overclocking. How far are you trying to overclock it? Always do it in small amounts, test it, then try bumping it up more.

  7. doesn't really look that bad to me, although I didn't have a problem with the last version either.

I haven't played with it yet, so my impressions may change once I have.

I have to agree with this. I see how it could annoy some, but it doesn't seem like as big an issue as everyone is making it seem.

That opinion could change once I actually log in, though...
