[Steam Re-installing Entire Game. Is this normal?]

some files might have gotten damaged so steam redownloaded them to fix the issue cause of this can be an abrupt shutdown of the program

started playing agent yesterday since i saw this post and thought why not give it a shot and i must say i am loving it i don't get why almost nobody plays this class

[im looking for help]

possible methods to fix this issue:

*You should make sure that you have the latest version of DirectX installed on your system.

*Check that your Graphics card and Sound card have the most recent drivers installed.

*You should check that you have the latest Service Pack and Windows Updates installed for your operating system,

including optional updates such as .NET Framework and Visual C++ features.

From personal experience my 2 favorite classes for pvp are

 

-smuggler scoundrel(scrapper)/imperial agent(concealment)

why?

*on average you have a 6% higher DPS than the average

*you can get upto 50APM if you have the correct gear

*to top it off because it is a ranged class your survivability increases (gotta love the rolling mechanic)

 

-jedi sentinel(concentration)/sith marouder(fury) when i want to get upclose

why?

*has one of the highest ammount of avg damage than other classes

*has a flexible playstyle

*can get upto 57APM with the correct gear

[Can't download from steam]

So when opening the launcher from steam, I have this message ''An error as occured. Please exit and restart the SWTOR Launcher.'' Obviously restarting it a hundred time doesn't work. Redownloading it either. What is wrong? I can't be the only one that had this problem but I can't find anything about it. HELP!

Had the same issue a couple of days ago and there are a couple of things you can do to fix this issue:

-verify integrity of game files

-run the game as administrator

-check if antivirus is blocking internet connection

for me personally it was a combination of my antivirus blocking the internet connection(bullguard) and the game not launching unless it is ran as administrator
