ive paid 45$ and i cant even chat with ppl. i think this game is like 5 dudes paid by sony.

You keep saying you can't chat with people

Why don't you open the in game chat? It may be hidden under a triangle wedge in top left of screen near login Callander Info box

But give. You don't listen to these suggestions and still start commenting about being scammed you clearly have not found the chat box.

I don't understand why you expect help on a weekend from devs when they are clearly not working weekends

So because I didn't receive the email about the APAC server re-opening until December and didn't subscribe until then, I am not eligible for free character transfers? This really is just a Fresh Start server that happens to be located in APAC.

    people dropping sub is insane

it says 90 days , and since APAC launch (unless im understanding this wrong), so if u subed after this date you will be fine as long as you are at 90 days during the first 30days of free transfers!!  (i think they trying to say you been subed since server launch , not 90 days of sub before it then lapse and resub this month etc)

currently we are 85 days since launch and by time update hits it prob will be  about 95 days or so

given we can expect update to hit prob end of month  that will make it over 90 days plus another 30 will cover those who sub in December

if update is the 20th feb then 30 days after brings us to march 21st and 90 consecutive days is December 22nd

people STOP FREAKING OUT ABOUT THE NOV thing

  3. Just going to put my foot in here and say I hit  close to 700k in a few hours of doing pvp on  sv on low lv char by selling the lv 50+ gear for credits at vendors (this was during first 2 weeks of server. It's almost certainly not how they are doing it but it's one way to get fast credits

Also if you have multiple people using same acount and constantly farming credit boxes they probably could do this without an exploit,

All they need is acess to zakull or onderon for fast credit farms from lockbox

But even with a few sellers a economy is still not as bad as the other servers

  4. this already exists in game its called white acute module

during double xp event go the fleet, then go to the Combat Training section, and in the far left booth, there's a Gree vendor. the vendor is only there during the 2xp event. He sells a White Acute Module for 0 credits

the module can be used during non event time to also cancel xp boosts

  5. Not sure if this will help anyone but I seemed to have solved the crashing while 7.4 image screen shows up when loading planets or quick travel. (for me at least)

I renamed the file for that load image by adding extra letters so it can't find it when gsme loads and just gets a fast black screen and load instead of the image.

    Hope that helps others

This helped me (link is to an old old post, but this still works and can be done for those who have game on steam as well

We really need to have a server transfer operating for it. most apac players i know have a lot of toons and would like to keep playing on US servers and transfur a few toons for a specific raid team. Lets be real the population wont be huge for gear grinding.. The prospect of raiding with low ping is a dream come true for most of us..

I wouldn't be surprised if the server population is very small until the server transfer is activated..

i think at start server transfer is closed because they want to see what a fresh economy will do.

giving transfer off the batt means billions of credits coming in right away instead of being generated on server.

No one invited me into this thread, either, yet here I am in all my faaaabuuuuulush Hutt glory!:rak_03: Oh how I love crashing parties and showing off my amazing dance skills. If you've never seen a Hutt bust a move on the dance floor you really should garner a look!

Then again, I don't recall needing much less desiring an invitation from non-Broadsword forum denizens. Welcome to the forums where players are afforded the privilege to disagree with others as long as we don't violate the ToS.

Personally, I like the changes I saw in the Livestream, though I acknowledge there is the possibility that some may, probably won't like the changes perhaps in full or even just in part -- I can see it varying by individual cinematics.

Regardless, I agree with many of the other posters that we shall just have to 'wait and see' once 7.4 is released (not sure the updated cutscenes will be available on the PTS).

    Dasty the Uninvited 🤩

❤️ love the post Mr Hutt :D

i have played around on a new Agent on the PTS this weekend ,  new lighting is good. The old lighting was fine on lower rez matt displays that never got that bright to start with without washing colours out. on newer external monitors (and laptops screens) we have better resolution .

really looking forward to new daily area .

also heads up they redid sand texture on koriban and updated textures on base planet Ord as well which look so much better.

tython has new waterfalls as well

Sure, but what happens when none of your items sell for the week? You will still lose large sums of credits on items you didn’t sell. That will still be a risk. So you’re original post is still relevant.

yea im still not happy with non refund for no sale.

lets say you sell (current price) a player made White and Light Gray Dye Module for 475,000 credits which is an increased from 350,000 from 2 days ago.

With the current 8% GTN tax you lose 38,000.

Posting fees for a 475,000 credit dye:

    • 12 hours = 100 credits
    • 1 day = 119 credits
    • 2 days = 250 credits
    • 3 days = 500 credits
    • 7 days = 1188 credits

How long it will take you to continuously post that dye at 475,000 credits before the non-refundable fees cost you more than the current GTN with an 8% GTN tax

    • 12 hours = 190 days
    • 1 day = 319 days
    • 2 days = 304 days
    • 3 days = 228 days
    • 7 days = 224 days

I know a lot of people here are worried buyers will say "hey, this dye was only 350,000 two days ago, I REFUSE TO PAY MORE THAN THAT!!" but most buyers won't know or care. I track a lot of markets on every server and the one thing I have come to understand is very few buyers or sellers actually know the value of what they are selling. Most sellers undercut, most buyers buy pay the least amount posted.

Sellers are not going to lose profit paying posting fees unless those sellers refuse to match the market value of an item and pick the proper posting time.

i think i got tax value and post fee value swapped in head

@JoeStramaglia I’m not sure if youre also following a similar thread to this one in the general section. But we have been discussing and debating the non-refundable listing fee for sellers.

     https://forums.swtor.com/topic/931789-coming-74-gtn-changes-on-the-pts/?do=findComment&comment=9783798

Most of us (not all) agree that having this non-refundable fee for items that don’t sell & time out is a huge mistake.

It will encourage people to stop selling or severely reduce the number of listings they put on the GTN. Which will create a situation on the GTN of demand outstripping supply. And when that happens you’ll create upwards inflation & prices will rise again.

And while we agree that people canceling listings & relisting items to undercut other players is disruptive to the market. We also have a more elegant solution than your non-refundable fees on items, that won’t reduce competition & won’t hurt the market & will still have a deterrent to the behaviour you are trying to curb.

Currently on the live system, the deposits that the seller pays to list an item are not refunded if they cancel a listing. The problem is those deposit fees aren’t currently high enough on live to deter that behaviour. So why not just apply your proposed fee amounts to the current deposit system? That way if someone cancels the listing, they aren’t refunded. But if an item fails to sell, the deposit amount is still refunded like it is now.

This way players (especially crafters) won’t stop listing things on the GTN & you won’t accidentally trigger more inflation with your current non-refundable idea of no refunds of fees on items that don’t sell.

i am a  crafter who sells dyes and crystals  (

some weeks i will sell all my listings. some i will sell none , the demand for crystals and dyes fluctuates  and even with a 7 day sell period its not going to be worth my time selling things that i know some weeks may not sell if im going to be loosing money doing so

Please add some vendors to each planet with these world drops. Add three vendors, one each for green, blue, and purple. You can set the prices high like 1 million credits each for green, 2 million credits each for blue, and 5 million credits each for purple.

i would say dont set prices that high. i know a lot of free and preff players use these as alt to cartel sets . pricing above 1mill cuts them all out

So, since you are using the word "currently", do you have any intention of addressing this issue? You are killing half the GTN's armor listings this way, unless you are trying to move people more into dealing with Cartel Market gear. If I put this gear into the outfitter, yeah, it'll list it as "Unidentified Guardsman's Chestguard" instead of "Echani Guardsman's Chestguard", but that isn't the issue here. People are not buying this old gear for the stats (usually, at least), they are buying it for the appearance, usually also because of unique color variants. The blue prototype versions of these armor pieces usually also feature a different coloring form the normal green premium quality versions.

It really cannot be your intention to make so much gear unavailable to be sold, not unless you have something in mind to keep this stuff somehow available, like making it all available for crafting.

I have started buying of the bracers that look like silver spiral bracelet along with other lving gear that i like using in outfits. stocking up for alts and future chars

unless you are part of an organized discord or guild, I would probably finish 7 weeklies before I could finish all 4 of those ops.

    Just now, Plactus said:

It's four specific operations, all full ops: Karagga's Palace, Explosive Conflict, Dread Palace, and Ravagers.

at the amount time it takes they may as well make it 14 or 18 point one instead of 12 to make it less painful

Sure will, right after the switch to AWS servers is in place and working, 7.3.1 is out and all known issues with the launcher after updates are corrected.

the European servers are done, the NA ones will be coming soon,

launcher issues are annoying i will give you that, and when they upgraded base launcher almost year ago I  was stuck out of game till I swapped to steam . but emailing the issue to support led to them giving free month of sub for the inconvenience and that really made up for the 2 weeks I was out of game .

for some wierd reason is the titel from this thread wrong.

thank the devs for their efforts and hard work.

so why do we still have a big mass bug problem? or why is the contant flow so worse still?

just be happy the game is still around. we know they have lost some of the dev team during move to broadsword, yet they still are producing new content, even if its less than you want.

the title of this thread is 1000% correct, we should be really glad the devs still care about the game and that they are constantly working to improve things.  They have had to deal with studio shuffling and god-knows what else under Bioware hands, but they have survived and come through for us

the credit initiative has helped bring inflation on servers down,  prior to it , on Shan gold augments were at one point up to 1.4-2bill  each.

those prices have now dropped to 300mil or so and thats largely thanks to the devs work on helping remove credits from game and taxes on large trades.

Stop being ungrateful and give the devs the thanks they deserve!

Except for the fact he did not address the point that Broadsword has the reputation of only doing maintenance on the games they get and rarely adds content to any game they acquire.

I think it's hard to keep pumping new content for old games when small player base and income stream, and a small team to do so.

I think we need to remember swtor still has revenue coming in and a much larger player base at current then both of Broadsword games , and the 40+ team who transfer over will make up more then entire Broadsword current staff who are split across 2 games

The money the game brings in will no longer be split 3 ways between ea, swtor and rest of bioware who has not produced any game since basically prepandemic

Now it will just be Broadsword and ea split, so chance for reinvestment in game to be greater

Im honestly hopeful even if it means needing to lower expectations on what new content will be (ie non voiced lines etc)

Does no solo-story mode mean that players can advance the story by doing vet or having another player join them in the story version?

If so that's a good change.  The pre Iokath story flashpoints would let you group up with a player to help them get through it, but the story-solo path prevented that.

I also don't mind seeing the flashpoints being sidemissions, rather then integral parts of the storyline.

i think they are saying we dont need to do the flashpoint at all to advance the story, but its related to the story if we choose to do it.

so unlike rishi where you had to do it to advance story, this seems fully optional
