  1. My inventory has been fine until now. I was online last night, and everything was fine. Today, when I logged in, my Legacy Cargo Hold bays 6 & 7 are totally empty, and there is no red shield on my inventory. I have also submitted a bug report with customer service in-game.

Thanks guys; this is very helpful! Any possibility on being able to trade in FP-1, OP-1, and WZ-1 at the SoW vendor for tech fragments? I think I speak for many players when I say I’m maxed out with these currencies with no reason to spend them on gear since Hyde and Zeek! It would be great if gathering more wasn’t a complete waste.

This.  PLEASE!!!  I've been capped on OP-1 and WZ-1s forever, and I will never have enough tech frags.

  3. New to mmos? Gear grinds are content to theme park mmos like wow and swtor unfortunately. Swtor has basically changed the gearing system and raised the item rating on gear every expansion since release. Rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic is just what these mmos do. Wow is going back to skill trees in their next expansion, which has been abandoned for years..but hey repackage it and bam new content woooo! It's low hanging fruit to keep the players busy. They've been doing this since 4.0 which is when the Dark vs Light event came out which was rewards for doing all the old content, lots of ppl quit the game at that point.

As far as swtor gearing in 7.0, I think it's better now than it ever has been. Access to gear that is needed for 99% of content in the game is accessible even to solo players. The 340 gear is hard to get but not needed in competitive game modes. They've almost all but eliminated the rng aspect. You can still min max depending on ur play style with the mods. Gearing is a bit convoluted but easy enough once u understand it. It also takes about two weeks to fully gear and I know ppl have probably done it faster. So for me the gearing system is fine.

To your original point tho yes I'd also rather have them create new content as opposed to forcing the players to play old content to grind for gear. In that aspect 5.0 with the Ossus world bosses is probably a superior system at least it was new content right? But it was widely hated as well, can't make everyone happy.

I agree that gearing now is better than it's ever been. All my alts could be at 330 if I so chose, and I love the challenge of perfecting my numbers. I'm having fun with the new system, and I'm glad they put it into place!

  4. For a baseline, these are some quick parses from 7.1. Other than the level increase and the higher dps from that, I have not noticed any meaningful companion changes.

    Treek: 8.5k (Still awful)

Yuun: 10.2k (tech whirlwind still not ticking second time)

D-R3D: 11.1k (tech whirlwind still not ticking second time)

    Darth Hexid: 11.2k

    Vette: 11.3k

    Veeroa: 12k

    Shae: 14.4k

Thanks for ALL your hard work on this over the years. I still use your guide as a resource!

  5. Bounty Hunter Female, rather. Female Agent is Jo Wyatt, also from Fem!Hawke in the Dragon Age games. She has a distinctive clipped British accent that bleeds through a lot of her roles, she plays a Zabrak in 7.0 and it's lulzy hearing her and Female Agent at the same time. She also plays Malora but the Onslaught version has voice modulation to better disguise her.

Shoot dang, you're right...my bad! I'll correct my post. Thanks!

  6. Vette's voice actress plays Padme in the Clone Wars series.

Jennifer Hale plays Lyris in ESO (still having a hard time playing a female trooper for that reason LOL).

Grey Delisle voices the female agent edit: bounty hunter and Azula in Avatar.

Lacey Chabert is Mako - and Gretchen Wieners!!! (Maybe Braden invented sweet cakes?)

And, I still love that Brian Bloom (Varric in the Dragon Age games) voices the male trooper!

Speaking of Dragon Age, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Indira Varma, everyone's favorite undercover rebel in the Obi-Wan series, voices Vivienne from Dragon Age!

  7. Post 7.1, do y'all have any thoughts as to which sentinel spec is a) the easiest to learn; and b) the most "fun" for you? I'm currently running concentration, but I am interested to know if watchman's self heals make it more "fun" or if the buffs to combat are as good as anticipated. I know fun is relative, but I'm curious as to what you pros think and why. :)
  8. With all the gear upgrading we are doing, it would be very nice to be able to remove the MK-11 kits from gear before upgrading a piece of gear. I've augmented green 326 gear at the beginning of the evening only to get a blue upgrade (or, God forbid, a purple LOL) and needed to augment it again in the span of a few hours. MK-11s are spendy! Even though I can make them myself, it is still a pain to NOT be able to remove them from gear. I'd gladly pay credits to remove them.

  9. Yes, the toxicity on the Fleet, DK and Coruscant is pretty toxic. As a big ol' **** myself, I haven't really noticed much bigotry on SF, but the politics, racism and hate speech is pretty rampant. Yes, I have reported, blocked, ignored, reported some more, and I also understand that trolls are gonna be trolls.

I've had to turn my back and ignore all my life, so it's not a big deal...it's disappointing, but not surprising. Do I wish they'd "police" it a bit more? Yes...and no. Would it solve anything? Probably not. Trolls have existed since the first days of EverQuest in the 90s, and I'm sure they'll exist well into the future.

Keyboard anonymity is the ONE place these people can get a rise out of others without fear of reprisal. I may not like it, but my best advice to OP is "Don't engage." It's not like you're going to change their minds via game chat. Sad, but true until there is real enforcement of the ToS. We just "deal with it" like we always do...I play the game to wield a light saber, not to right social wrongs.

  10. Considering how easy it is to reach 100k Conquest on one character, why hasn't Bioware considered adding multiple weekly Conquest goals or a tiered Conquest system for players who are willing to grind out way more?

1st Tier is 100k Conquests with the usual rewards, then 2nd tier could be something like 500k on the same character with better rewards, then maybe something like 2 million for even better rewards, then finally something really ridiculous that only the most devout players will reach in a weeks time, like 10 million Conquest, with huge rewards for those that do.

Would this really be such a bad thing? I feel like it would encourage more dedicated play to a players main character, deterring people from running a dozen alts just for Conquest.

I think this is a great idea. Have you also added it to the Suggestions forums? I'd love to be able to focus on a few characters rather than jumping from one to another as soon as I hit 100k just to help my guilds.

    Love it!

  11. I support the idea, and hope that this thread will be kept afloat so maybe one day it'll become a reality since I'd really like miraluka in concept, but unfortunately in game it's simply a human with a set of unappealing blindfolds which never blend with any attire, lacking even a basic sash-like blindfold.

I would love to have either a cord-like Jerec's blindfold, or parade maskless like the Tenth Brother. Not only that, but I even weirdly adore this gauche thing, probably due to its simple stupid extravaganza, and I don't really see any of my characters wearing it.

Shamefully I'll attempt a "self" advertising: I made a thread touching this topic in a suggestion box, if anyone's interested

    - https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=1002754. I don't want that to replace this thread, so I show my support.

Throwing this thread a lifeline. I recently started playing Miraluka and I LOVE the race; just not the masks. Please, for the love of all that is the Force, add more models/options/whatever!

  12. I am admittedly a mmo hoe. I play so many of them and this one is one of my favs. I kept hearing horror stories about the 7.0 changes from different people who supposedly left the game and came to play other games. I didn't want to believe it and after a about a year being away, I came back a few days ago. My experience was horrible as a solo player and for the first time, I cancelled my sub to this game. As much as I want to support this game, I can't in good conscience continue to do so. If you agree with me great, if you don't great as well. I'm not looking to debate or rattle any cages, I am just sharing my opinion and the continued comments I get from other gamers.

Granted, I have only been playing this game since the beginning the pandemic lockdown, and I absolutely love it. That being said, 7.0 has NOT been a great experience. I'd be very interested to hear what was the last straw that made you cancel?

I'm just so confused as to why they "fixed" what didn't really seem to be broken. Had they just added combat styles, I think we all would have been pretty darn excited. All the other changes, many of which hit all of our characters hard - from completely UNbalancing dps numbers to making certain daily heroics unfinishable (Voss - Cyber Mercenaries, anyone?). Heck, pre-7.0, I was a dang good healer. Now, I am STRUGGLING to heal MM FPs. Um...what??

TLDR: I don't disagree. I'm curious what pushed you over the edge to quit.

  13. I'm most likely the definition of a casual player. I love to solo through the stories; I rarely group or do ops unless friends from other guilds need me. Either way, before 7.0, I played LOTS of characters regularly, AND I spent money on cartel coins and items for "stuff," for those characters. Now, since many of the specs take FOREVER to do anything or can't even run through the Nar Shaddaa heroics without dying multiple times, I have reduced my 30+ characters to around six. It gets a bit boring. Yeah, I do miss the balanced classes. I miss where each class/spec could pretty much run all the content equally. Does that make me elitist or a realistic paying customer? If I can hit conquest on three characters in the same time it take me to slog to 100k on one character, what do you think I'm going to play? Doesn't matter if I "like" that character, when it becomes a chore, I'm not going to play it. If I join an operation, I do NOT want to be a liability, either. I would rather heal on my sage/sorc, but if I'm required to play my scoundrel/op, I guess I will. Sounds more like a job than a game, and that's when I will move on.

TLDR: I definitely miss the days of 6.x when I could CASUALLY jump on any character and solo, quest or help friends in any way. Class balance is needed!
