i have report a lot of bugs this game has and most of the bugs i follow also are still not been fix at all and one of then is a 10 year old bug i follow so my hope there going to fix this is all gone for years. so what you are telling is old news for me.

All the more reason to find a new game to play that's more worth your time and money.

Gearing is content now, and having to relearn your class after every class balance patch is content too. Yay, lots of new content with 7.4!

Juggs are not even the highest dps, but I guess someone doesn't like them much.

It's a giant middle finger to jugg players. A nerf without any reason. Just a nerf for the sake of nerfing. Came back to this game to try out 7.4 and after a day I found myself leaving to go back to the game I was playing before the past few months. It's like "well see you all next update then". I might be one person but I doubt I'm alone in this.

  3. Okay guys...why...

Seriously the rotation is horrible now. When we had the 2 second cooldown reduction option for shatter. The rotation flowed so smooth and so effectively. It was the best and easiest rotations ever. Now it's all over the place. Tell me why this was needed? Who made this decision? You guys just like making people lose interest in their favorite specs and loadouts? Nerf for the sake of nerfing? Unbelievable...

Have you actually seen a drop in player numbers yet? Or are you just assuming this is what will happen?

That's cute. I happen to play a lot and I don't need to see numbers. I see it first hand every day. Servers hot during primetime evenings then dead for all other hours except when Aussies come online. The issue is not players making the smart choice and moving to the APAC server for better connectivity when transfers are available. The issue is that Broadsword is not considering a merge for SS and SF soon after.

I checked the population on all the servers Friday night. I didn't save the numbers, but Satele Shan still had 100 players on fleet in primetime. It wasn't as high as Star Forge, but it wasn't much lower than normal. Things could change once transfers have opened. Some players are waiting to switch until then. I think things will probably be fine on Satele Shan as long as Galactic Seasons continue to work as they do. Lots of players will still play there to get the extra cartel coins from Galactic Seasons. It will be interesting to see what happens after transfers, but everything is fine now.

I'm looking ahead. Sure right now there won't be an impact. But a year from now? Two years? Satele Shan does have a good number during Primetime but that's it. Any other time of day it's dead EXCEPT late at night when Asia and Australians get on and even then it can still take a while to form groups for anything. Now if they move to APAC, which let me note that I have no issue with. I would go to a new server if I had a better connection. The problem is not really the creation of this SV server nor people making the smart choice and going to a server dedicated for their region. The problem is the potential implications down the line for a dwindling server like SS from the creation of SV. If the server is only active during primetime (which is only a few hours) then dead for the remainder of the day. Then that's a problem. Cause not everyone works a 9-5 schedule job. That means people who work atypical schedules will be screwed.

  6. All of my characters are entirely on the Satele Shan server as I live on the west coast of the U.S. It is no question that the Satele Shan (SS) server has been dwindling in numbers over the past few years. In fact it's made me consider just leaving it entirely to go to Star Forge (SF) or better yet just quitting the game until SS and SF merge into one big American server. I likely won't transfer as it costs a ton of cartel coins to transfer just one alt. At night the only people you can find to raid with are mostly folks from Australia and Asia (by the way the most fun people to play with) since it's afternoon and evening over there while it's night in America. So now that they have their own server. I think it's likely that a good majority of Australians and Asians on SS will migrate to Shae Vizla since it's likely got better ping than SS. I tried the server myself but getting a constant ping of 180ms due to the distance is not ideal (I get 60ms on SS). So my question is: What was the purpose of creating the APAC server? This game isn't getting any new players. At least not at the volume that would make the creation of a new server a viable option. Seriously what was the purpose in making SS even more of a ghost server than it already is now? Only thing that makes sense now is to merge SS and SF into one giant American server.

  7. I've seen two posts on the forums from you complaining about stupid stuff. Thinking this game is such a big deal that people are going to care. Are you going to be offended by everything? You need a sheltered bubble for you to hide in? Names, the game economy? What's next? Gearing? Conquest? Touch some grass dude.

Huh? Those guys were already there. Bioware developers that transferred over to Broadsword = approximately 40 out of 80 on staff, going by the original leak in the article.

But do you truly understand what that means? That is a staffing cut right down the middle. Do you think they will be able to even create a real expansion with half their developers gone? You're delusional if you think so. The decision to move Swtor to BS is clear as freaking day. Bioware no longer cares and will only work on petty updates, bug fixes (if any) and mediocre things that nobody cares about. I'd say the gig is up.

  9. Just an idea but I really liked his Red robes in the Onslaught expansion. And if it dyes well, it could easily be used by everyone. Which is what really sells a cosmetic item the most. Sith, Jedi, Bounty hunters, etc. I know there may be a few sets that can come close to the appearence but it just isn't the same as Darth Vowrawns stunning red sith robes. I don't know why they didn't add his robes after adding Darth Shaars armor set the "Emperors Mantle" set.

  10. I find it so amusing how suddenly EVERYONE is upset with Bioware. I was talking about the failure of this game since 7.0 dropped. I was even more militant after the compounding of the problem with 7.1...I took to these forums to voice my distaste with the direction Swtor was going. And all I got was fire and disrespect from the community. All I got was: "Oh look another Swtor is dead type of player" or "If you don't like it don't play it". You people....we're roughly a year and a half in and you're all too late. Now Swtor is being handed off to a third party and it's fate is sealed. The moment and I mean THE MOMENT a new Star Wars MMO hits the market. Swtor will likely be shut down the next day after it's successor is online.

  11. The people who defend the super sleezy microtransaction nature of this game are A: Paid by Bioware or B: Completely cracked in the skull. They are the reason Swtor will NEVER reach it's fullest potential. Those who excuse and are apologists to Biowares complete incompetence on this game the past two years really are brainwashed and totally fine getting less product for the same amount (or more) of money.

P.S. It is hilarious how people compared these coded texture items with imaginary value to items in the real world with REAL ACTUAL VALUE.

Hey Jackie. Out of curiosity, if the game is moving to 64-bit, does that mean the credit cap will be increased from 2^32 (4.29 billion) to 2^64 (Nearly unlimited?) due to the 32 bit integer limit being gone?

I think it would be a tremendous help if so

Yeah that's a great idea. Let's make the already outrageous and out of control in game inflation even worse with UNLIMITED CREDIT CEILING.

Meanwhile on fleet: "WTS BLACK/BLACK DYE 50B!!"

As was evidenced by KOTFE and KOTET, doing a KOTFE/KOTET-sized, fully voice acted, cinematic story pretty much excludes development for any other gameplay area.  These are the so-called “MMO bits” talked about during those years, including but not limited to: flashpoints, operations, daily areas, pvp, etc. etc.  Basically if they created another KOTFE-length story you can kiss the rest of the game goodbye.  The dev team has a difficult time getting content out on time as it is, it’s much smaller than it was in the 3.x era.  I loved KOTFE/KOTET but the game lost a lot of people when 4.0 happened and the rest of the game features suffered.  That kind of loss of experienced players who create content, like class guides or operation guides, is unsustainable with the game already bleeding from 7.0 as it is.  Making another KOTFE/KOTET would be a disaster, not a reinvigoration.

It would be a monumental risk. Which is why they need EA to help fund it. The time between updates and lack of quality thereof is reminiscent of one thing. Not enough money and not enough people. Sadly it seems EA threw SWTOR Bioware to the side like some toy they got tired of playing with. If EA would just freaking gave Bioware a blank check, reach out to former employees who worked on SWTOR in the early years to try to get them back and they hired more staff and motivated them properly. It would pay off for the game. The formula is there. It just depends on if Bioware is prepared to take risks. Or if they'll take the safe and easy route up until the game dies and servers shut off. 7.0 was a bold step in the wrong direction. Personally I would love for a game company to make an entirely new Star Wars MMO. However, this is the last standing bastion of legends Star Wars content out there. If they made a new MMO. It would likely be based on Disney's crappy "canon". So SWTOR is it. It either thrives and revives itself or it'll remain mediocre on the stage of other MMO's and fade with a whimper.

SWTOR has a lot of impactful choices that can affect who's in your story, especially companions. It's impossible to show one "true" version of SWTOR's narrative, because each story experience is unique. That said, we're choosing to include conditional characters in marketing material and key art, to emphasize that while these characters may not be around for everyone, we are still invested in furthering their stories.

I have been very critical of how the story is going and lack of significant story expansions. People mostly play this for the incredible story content. If you guys want to reinvigorate MMO community interest in SWTOR. Create a KOTFE sized story expansion with a well written and deep story spread out across monthly story updates like it was when KOTFE and KOTET came out. Potentially in 8.0 down the line. Monthly story updates culminating in a big storyline would keep people coming back to play every month rather than coming back for two to three weeks for these "updates" and then getting off again for months. These small story updates are not relighting the fire. If I had a recommendation: Return to the Jedi vs Sith aspect that sold this game in the beginning. The lines between friend and foe between the Republic and Empire has gotten muddy. The focus on the Mandalorians is wearing on a lot of players who don't think Heta Kol can even hold a candle to Malgus with respect to an antagonist. Maybe bring back Darth Jadus? Take inspiration from the original stories to create a brand new story expansion.

Let’s start with Progression as a Group. Bosses in The R-4 Anomaly drop 2 boss-specific tokens per defeat that can be exchanged for Virulent gear, the highest item rating available from the operation. These tokens are tradeable for a 2 hour window to any member of the operation. This lets a group move rewards to a chosen player and ensures that early bosses remain desirable after multiple clears.

    • Do you feel your group was able to progress in power through the Operation?

No, compared to 6.0 all operations are overtuned in the 7.x dev cycle.  In the 6.0 Cycle with 306 gear and purple augs my serious ops team cleared VM Temple of Sacrifice, VM Ravagers and almost cleared NiM Dread Fortress.  We also worked on VM Dxun but had a bought of player turnover there and got burned out and decided to switch our focus.  VM R4 just feels like a giant rooster block and all the gear that would help is locked behind a VM that is tuned like a NiM.  I've played Ops since launch and this cycle is by far the worst cycle in the history of the game.

    • Do you think improvements could be made to make it easier to progress as a group? If so, what do these improvements look like?

Yes, tune the content appropriately to its stated difficulty level.  Groups that progressed solidly through VM and NiM content in 6.0 should not be struggling on VM content in 7.0.  That is a massive design failure on the part of the dev team.

To target Progression on every Kill, each boss drops a general R-4 token that can be used to purchase and upgrade Hazardous gear. This secondary gear set lets you make smaller power improvements while working to complete your set of Virulent Gear.

    • Did you want to upgrade your Hazardous gear?

I just want moddable gear back that I can upgrade my mods in, the entire 7.0 gearing cycle is a convoluted overly complicated mess, and it makes managing gear sets and augments a nightmare.  I can't wait until the devs get it through their obstinate heads that no one likes it and it is terrible, so they scrap it entirely and bring back a good gearing system.

    • How quickly were you able to upgrade your Hazardous gear?

We haven't cleared any bosses yet.  We were making very slow progress on post nerf IP-CPT but decided two weeks ago to get a lockout and work on Watchdog instead to try and get some gear.  We are getting close but haven't downed him yet.

    • Was  Hazardous gear helpful in completing The R-4 Anomaly?

Don't know, but it can't hurt.

The R-4 Anomaly came with 12 new sets of vanity armor, purchasable with Story and Veteran R-4 tokens. Story tokens can be used to purchase 4 sets of armor and Veteran tokens can be used to purchase 8 sets of armor.

    • Do you like the look of these armor sets?

No.  Might collect anyhow if it is in collections

    • Did you attempt to clear The R-4 Anomaly to earn these armor sets?

    No

    • Is there anything you’d like to see from future Operations armors?

Take more inspiration from Star Wars source material and then take your own take on that.  Maybe don't save all the cool sets for the Cartel Market.

The R-4 Anomaly also came with a new mount, the Wings of Nihrot. This mount has a small chance to be rewarded when defeating Lord Kanoth.

    • Do you like the look of this mount?

Yes, it's pretty cool in an evil butterfly kind of way.

    • Did you attempt to clear The R-4 Anomaly to earn this mount?

No.  While a lot of people desire cool drops from difficult content it is just foolish, frustrating, and unfun to go after super rare drops.

    • Is there anything you’d like to see from future Operations mounts?

100% drop rates so we can reasonably work to earn it for our whole team.

I cannot agree more. Compared to every single operation to date. R4 HM is the most aggravating and difficult. HM is a NiM raid X2. It's why we got people doing watchdog lockouts cause all other bosses are unbelievably hard.

  16. I have suggestion for R4 Gearing. Make story tokens convertible to blue only veteran tokens. Two or three story tokens convertible to one veteran blue token. That way people can get blue 340 gear and be in great shape to jump into Veteran mode to get the exclusive purple virulent 340 armor. If you want more people to play your new operation and take advantage of all the gear in the game. You need to make it for the entire player base. Not just the NiM raiding players.
