  1. Two points I'd like to make, and then I'm done here.

First - Hooray. I personally feel that these two things (the second in particular) are long overdue.

Second - Enough already! At this point, I'm convinced that if you thought it was feasible to tweak Conquest more than once each week, you would. Maybe instead of focusing on your Campaign of Infinite Conquest Changes, you should stop for a few weeks...take a deep breath or two...and figure out what you really want to do with Conquest, and then actually do it. The community mainly wants two things from you: Solutions, and stability. You're floundering with the former, and failing with the latter.

If y'all are really this bored, there are hundreds of bugs and oddities in the game you could address.

And no, my points are not contradictory. Someone can shoot at a target a hundred times and actually hit it twice.

  2. While you are correct in one aspect, that the guild gave the person the permission to use certain privileges because the said person was a member of the guild, it does not give the person permission to take everything out of the guild banks just because she can. The responsibility is therefore on both of them. One because the guild actually trusted the person to be responsible and the other because she just took everything knowing that this was not the permission given.

When a child steals mommy and daddy's car keys, takes the car out for a spin, and then wrecks the car...we don't blame the child.

Blaming the thief is a question of morals; blaming the guild is a question of responsibility. I honestly couldn't care less if anyone agrees or disagrees...going back to actually playing the game now, as these forums are (generally) nothing but a waste of time. Bye! :)

  3. But at the same time if someone has the right to take that many credits, that is somewhat at the fault of the person who gave them that rank.

Correction: It is 100%, entirely, absolutely, positively the fault of the person who gave them that rank. Or the person who set the permissions for that rank. Whatever. However you look at it, it's the responsibility of the guild to safeguard their own stuff, period.

Morals and ethics are one thing...and responsibility is another thing altogether. Lock your doors, and people won't just walk into your home.

  4. I can't run this game on any calculator or dishwasher in this house...therefore, this game is broken, and I will not accept any opinions or "logic" stating otherwise. Anyone who disagrees with me is a simpleton who understands nothing, and I demand an immediate boycott of all BW products.
  5. Yes, heaven forbid that BW should try to make enough money to want to keep the game alive. How selfish of them. They should just shut SWTOR down completely so they're not accused of any 'cash grabs'.

    [/sarcasm]

There's a difference between 1) generating revenue, and 2) nickel-and-diming something to death.

It's the reason Pizza Hut won't charge you extra for napkins.

  6. *sigh* No, your misdirected rant implied (pretty clearly, too) that posters here have the "freedom of speech." In reality, the only freedom you have here is the freedom to follow the ToS, or the freedom to kick rocks.

Keep it going, or don't; I'm just adding you to my "better things to waste time reading than this" list.

  7. Oh, it's bugged alright...it takes Cartel Coins for any kind of change to your appearance. I mean, c'mon...really? There are cash grabs, and there are desperately pathetic cash grabs...and then there's fifty feet of Disney...and below that, there's charging CC for appearance changes.
  8. This is an instance of what's happening out in the real world (in the US) seeping into the forums. People trying to control what others can or cannot say, should or should not say. People trying to force others to say specific things ("Silence is violence" is the argument in the real world, "moral failure" in this instance here.) Only some people are allowed to talk about some topics. Only some kind of opinions are acceptable on some topics. On and on.

Apparently it is not enough for people to have their free speech right, exercise it and let a discussion develop; they feel a moral superiority and a need to control other people's free speech both for constraining and compelling certain speech.

Not sure if this post itself is a little political for the forum.

You do understand that the First Amendment doesn't apply to this forum...or really, any online forum...right? Maybe you're just so high up on your horse that the air has gotten a bit thin, but...yeah, EA, BioWare, Disney...they don't owe you some kind of right to free speech, Dershowitz.

  9. I'm simply comparing my situation to op's because what he's describing is also a possibility that it could've happened to me. Therefore, same outcome, but COULD also be same reasons. I was inactive just as op said they were inactive too, so even some of the factors are similar as well. Either way it's the same outcome and neither should've occurred.

My reasons are my reasons and it's not my fault that my not being able to log in was out of my hands. Have some decency, but with a display name like yours I fail to see how anyone can take you seriously. You're just trying to bait me into a response. Grow up

Awesome...again with the "it's somebody else's fault because it can't possibly be mine" excuse.

Not a single person has agreed with you on any point you've tried (and failed, clearly) to make. Not a solitary soul. To those of us with common sense, it would be a sign that maybe our argument is flawed; to someone like you, however, it means that everyone else must be wrong, because you can't possibly be responsible for your own actions (or lack thereof).

I'd love to see another three to six consecutive posts from you, whining about the same old thing and comparing to others who actually have legitimate issues due to no fault of their own...but I just added you to my blocked list. So, respond, don't respond...like everyone else who's read your Handbook for Whiners, I couldn't possibly care less.

Your former "dead guild" is obviously in better hands now. God bless whoever that "ninja" is, for not bothering to check in with you before they had the audacity to log into their account. :p

  10. You didn't read the first post properly, there's only him and his wife, both are gone from the guild, so something probably bugged out, or one acc got hacked, or something like that. Assuming the op was telling the full story. Either way, CS hopefully will sort it out.

The other poster who had his own thread, well that was his own fault, so your comment works for him ;)

Nope...actually, you didn't read my post properly. My comments were directed not at the OP, but at the person whining all over the forums about a "guild ninja," who apparently had the unmitigated gall to actually log in to the game.

The OP of this thread, assuming his account of the details is accurate, is completely different than the "guild ninja" nonsensical whining...and I've said that all along.

Hopefully that clears things up for you. Thanks for playing!

  11. >inb4 someone says "you should've prepared for it"

i'm sorry this happened to you. that's even worse than what happened to me, although that makes me think that this could be another possibility if it wasn't in fact a guild ninja. all end results ******* suck either way :(

Nope...just nope. If OP is correct, then what happened to him is completely different than what happened to you. Same outcome, different reasons. OP's reason is, at the current time, unknown.

YOUR reason, however, was because YOU failed to log in. Remember your posts about that? You failed to log in, and then there were paragraphs and paragraphs of excuses as to why it was everyone else's fault, and how BW should change the system because YOU failed.

    Completely different.

Good luck, OP. I'd suggest you absolutely bomb them with tickets until they address your issue. That tactic has worked for me in the past.

  12. There's a group of Imperials nearby...can't remember which direction, but it's within eyesight. Part of a mission about getting passports or something.

Anyway, head over there right quick, slaughter the Imperials, grab the passports...and by the time you're done with that (just a couple of minutes), the Power Vacuum mission will sort itself out, and you can proceed as normal.

Weird, I know, but that's what did it for me. Broken, but still workable.

  13. "A lot of money" is when you reach the point where you A) have enough credits to do/buy the things you want, and B) don't have to worry about running out of credits. It's all personal preference.

Personally, I'm sitting on about 600 million; that's a lot to some, a drop in the bucket for others. For me, it's plenty.

I made a financial leap after saving up legendary embers for a few months, and dropping them on the GTN. Now, I keep my crafting mats until they hit 11k, and I just sell the excess. My account keeps growing, and it's just icing on the cake.

  14. "This system sucks for ME and it's broken for ME, so it needs to be changed for EVERYONE because then it would work better for ME."

Yeah...LOL...not gonna happen. Not one person in this thread has jumped on your Complain Train about this issue. There's a saying about how fifty million Elvis fans can't be wrong...and it is 100% applicable in this instance.

YOU screwed up. It wasn't BioWare, it wasn't some other player who happened to log in and get stuck with your supposedly dead guild, it wasn't the rest of the community who disagrees with you. Take responsibility and learn from your own mistake.

Or don't learn from it, and rage quit. Whatever floats your goat.
