  1. "First" and even "10th" is very important for progressive raiders. When you get a game as large as WoW, "100th" actually is very meaningful too, but then it falls off in importance after that. In this game, anyone who clears prior to the first lockout will be in the same boat, because it means they were the players who readjusted their life for the game. The players who clear the second week will be players that are interested in investing time in clearing it quickly, and every kill after that will be inevitable and nothing of note.

There is still nothing in this game to distinguish good players from great players, or even great players from exceptional players. Any group of 16 players that are even halfway decent can clear 16 man hard mode given 10-15 hours of work.

    exactly

  2. Work, family commitments, etc. It is why set raid schedules work. If BW didn't implement patches on willy nilly days, it wouldn't be an issue.

Besides, HM isn't a race. NiM will be. For now, we are just enjoying the game for what it is.

So if NiM is on a work night? Then what? Then you will say "NiM is not a race...the expansion will be...etc" ?

  3. So many good players quit that it's beginning to be pointless.

What we are left with is a bunch of mediocre players (Myself included) that are now thrust in the spotlight believing they are a "Top Guild".

(Hence the non test clearing, and the claims of toughness...etc)

Most of these players have never been in this position before, and will be more than happy to offer their opinion and/or comments, links, or anything else that will boost their new found fame.

So, yes...the massive 4 boss content will be cleared very quickly by someone (assuming no bugs), as the endgame design is sloppy and seems to be incomplete. (Bioware seems shocked that players actually reached endgame it seems)

    All just opinions of course...

  4. Why cant people just post in plain white, all those annoying colors just makes your posts annoying to read.

To answer this question, also answers another...

This is the growing "Mark Twain" trend in forums, where everyone must write the great American novel.

The different color font is a tool to achieve the "look at my thread" effect, and no amount of response will suffice. (Unless it's totally positive)

If everyone would have ignored the thread, he would have bumped it himself with a clever saying or whatever.....sigh

Never ever ever been done before...thank you for the valuable opinion.

  5. Which is interesting considering half of it is based off of rumor and heresay but its an mmo player base, I should not be surprised.

    That's true, things could change.

But Bioware sure doesn't help the situation by pointing out that anyone with crapload of credits and time can own all PVP and PVE gear without ever meeting another person.

(Again, just the perception at the moment from the patch)

  6. Eq2 launch-Dec 2011 full time play. (25+ hours per week)

Most hardcore Eq2 players always compared WoW to checkers. (Whereas we played Chess)

    :)

It's interesting to see how players from other games react to things. (Raids, PVP, etc)
