  1. We can get you both of these items, just let us know online, Mail Smorgishborg on Pubside or Dreadkirk on Empire, Or both! We can donate the flashpoint tank as well, have a few of them in our guilds.

Sweet! I'll be happy to compensate you for your time. I'll message your Imp Side Toon sometime tomorrow, Tuesday the 8th. (US Mountain Time)

  2. Hey everyone!

The team is aware of the Conquest Window displaying the Pirate Incursion event for next week, which is not the correct event. The correct schedule for September can be found here - which consists on Rakghoul Resurgence, Double XP, and Swoop Rally. With Game Update 6.1.3 coming out next week, the team will address the issue surrounding the Conquest Window.

Wouldn't it make more sense to have the Rakghoul Resurgence after the All World Swoop Rally...

  3. Bwhahahahaha Omgosh!

    Hey Op,

I can donate the Welding droid, via the tab. If you can't find it on the GTN. But I don't have the Tank (but you can donate it).

Currently there are 2 Tanks on the GTN though.

Sorry, I've been busy with work and school. I'd be interested in getting a welding droid or two donated to the guild, via the purchase for guild tab option. Would you do 5 mil a pop?

PS the tanks were no longer available :(

  4. Yeah, I'd agree with this. The intent at the time was clearly that this piece of content was to be limited to the current set of users at the specified time.

So yes, perhaps not *legally* mendacious, but definitely misleading.

My assertion is that the entire idea of time-limited content for things like this is dumb and puts Bioware in bad situations nearly every time. They should stop.

This is more than just Lord British's Fifth Anniversary Cake here. Take the HK-55 unlock as a prime example - This unlocks two excellent companions, one of which all players are clearly intended to form an emotional bond with in KotFE regardless of subs status, and is also tied to an alliance alert mission that is actually relatively long, well done, funny, and super fun. It's a lot of content, and it is tied to important story content, and it was fundamentally dumb to *ever* make this content locked behind a subs reward.

Shae (and Nico?) are legacy rewards and as such are very useful companions. You can plop Shae onto any new L1 character you make and use her to sweep through early levels at an even more ridiculous pace. She was available to everyone to such a broad extent that I had even forgotten that she was time-limited at all. So, also dumb to lock out from new users, and I am glad she's released.

For both of these, the real problem here is Bioware making the same mistake repeatedly, of time-limiting content and then subsequently removing the limitation. They should never have been time limited to begin with, and Bioware should find better ways (of which there are good suggestions upthread) for rewarding long term subs.

Do you truly believe Bioware Intended to mislead you when they put that promotion on original? I don't think that's true. I remember when players originally started asking for the reward. BioWare made a statement several months before the actual re-release. They said, in so many words, it is tough to decide the right thing to do and that they would get back to us. If I can find the actual statement, I found the actual thread link at the bottom, it will show you that they intended it to be exclusive but because of player demand the were looking for a way to give players HK-55 while minimizing the damage to those who participated in the promotion. I'd say they succeed.

It’s time to make HK-55 and Chapter 10 available for subs??

  5. *Terms and Conditions

    * To qualify for the Knights of the Fallen Empire Subscriber Rewards, the account must be in a Subscriber status as of 11:59PM PST//7:59AM GMT on the date listed by the reward. Knights of the Fallen Empire rewards are delivered through in-game mail or mission and are redeemable as of the launch of the monthly chapter(s). Players must have an active Subscription status to unlock 2 Days of Early Access for each Chapter.

*Players must have completed Chapters 1-9 to access their HK-55 Companion. After completing Chapter 9, players will receive an Alliance Alert that will take them on a mission to recruit HK-55.

** To qualify for the HK-55 Bonus Chapter, the account must continuously be in active Subscription status between January 11 - August 1, 2016. Once you qualify and the Bonus Chapter is released, you may enter and play the Bonus Chapter after you complete Chapters 1-16.

That's the ToS on the shroud chapter. But they've brought that back as a CM item. They changed the ToS on it, etc.

That's why people have accused them of lying, etc. This never said limited time, in fact, states you HAD to be a sub from X to Y.

I love reading terms and conditions. I wasn't around for this promotion and I'm no lawyer, but * point two is the most important piece of the T&C. This states what the product/promotion is "Knight of the Fallen Empire Subscriber Rewards" HK-55 being a sub category in that Product/Promotion. Once BioWare made it a solo Cartel Market item It was no longer a "Knight of the Fallen Empire Subscriber Reward", but a separate product. Therefore the qualification at ** no longer applied to it.

One could also argue that "To Qualify" ≠ "Only way to Qualify" which would make not qualifying during stated time the only way to break this agreement. This route would require comparing the different versions of the T&C to make sure they have similar defined statements. I don't know multiple languages so I can't do this.

As I said before, It's an overstep to state BioWare Lied, Players that qualified got their rewards. People who purchase the HK-55 chapter don't get the other rewards. T&Cs are generated to protect companies from law suits. T&Cs are only truly defined when they are in legal debate. BioWare may have indented to have it as an exclusive reward, but since it was highly requested their intent changed. Lies require an intent to deceive. BioWare changing their intent, unfortunately for some, ≠ equal not having the intent at all. (I can't truly claim to know their intent, but from previous dialogue this seems to be the case.)

  6. The real issue here, as others have noted, is that Bioware basically lies about this. The actual problem is that these time limited subs rewards are stupid, and get violated intentionally by Bioware all the time. They should stop that, and instead use something like Tsillah's idea.

"Limited Time" and "One Time Only" are two different contractual promises. The ads I could dig up show BioWare specifically stating available for a limited time. If BioWare Offers an item that is available for 364/365 days that technically falls under the limited time definition. The promotion in question is being released a third time, with two-ish year between each release. This once again falls under the definition of limited time. Accusing them of lying/breaking their promise would be an overstep.

  7. They already (mostly) have that in the form of the master's datacron (boosts to 70, not 75)

To clarify, I meant giving subscribers a promotional "Master's Datacron" with the release of updated old content. it would be a great event to kick start a new/raised token that boosts a character to lv 75. They should also bring back Man with the steel voice when they do those touch ups...

  8. Well that's on BioWare. They made all these exclusives at one point and now they're not exclusive anymore. I don't care that others can have Shae as well, I just wish that BioWare would stick to their word once in a while or at least not mislead us. It just pisses me off that BioWare call things exclusives when in fact they're not. I ticked me off back then because these were exclusives that shouldn't have been exclusives but they did them anyway.

Sub during this period or you cannot have x companion. That's what they said.

That's a fact you fail to realise or at least acknowledge.

I tried to find the original offers of companions, specifically Shae Vizla, and the ads I've found say limited time, not exclusive. Those two terms have different definitions. releasing a promotion every two-ish years falls under the definition of limited time. Therefore Bioware has keep their word.

  9. Did you hit space bar during conversations...? Joking aside. I usually que with my friends and we have voice chat. if it wasn't for voice chat i wouldn't know they died half the time.
  10. I haven't been squelched yet, across any of my five accounts, and I talk a lot in gen chat. So what are you doing?

Ha ha, same. I also tend to be a smart ***, though it's a sly comment here and there. Just pokes at words or phrases that are quite hilarious ha ha ha!

  11. I want to buy the decorations Factory Welding Droid, and Starship Medical Tank. They are not currently available on the GTN.

On a side note. Starship Medical Tank is a FP drop. Does anyone know if you can purchase if for the guild through personal decoration tab, or do you have to donate it directly?

  12. That's the issue is it not, every player picked different choices so this would be to much effort for BW to do. Best and probably far easier would be change the ship so it can be decorated. Players than then add who they want. Then of cause it be, I only can put 5-6 of my companions in etc etc.. I know that would be my issue.

I agree it be nice to have a much larger ship we could decorate ourselves which is not a guild ship, but somehow cannot see this happening anytime soon, or ever.

that's a decent idea. though that's what the stronghold is for.

  13. Dear Bioware,

I have 7 vaults unlocked in my guild bank. I was hoping to shift the order around but find no easy way to do this. I will say that the main complaint is that one of the vault images is the default question mark that disappears when it's image is changed. I wanted the bottom vault to have that, but since i already changed it's image that's no longer possible, unless I buy another vault...

I've come up with several ways this issue could be address. I listed them in order of easiest to do, it may not be that way though :D

    1. Add default Question Mark to list of vault images. I think this would relatively be easy to do, though you have 75 images. The images are in rows of 5 with 15 rows in total. if you wanted to keep it in a similar organization you'd have to make 4 more images...

    2. Give us the ability to delete Vaults/have them be inactive. The complexity of this fix really comes if you made the Vaults inactive. Most people would prefer that.

    3. Add the option to move Vaults up and down in the guild manager, similar to the way guild rank order is adjusted.

I would be happy if just one of the fixes were implemented, though guilds could benefit from each of those.

  14. People are jumping down everyone's throat without understanding where some are coming from:

You get the Shae for a sub reward from August 28 through October (?)

Okay great for those subscribers that don't have her. Most of us are happy with that, at least I know the more practical ones are.

    Now:

Subscriber means anyone that pays a subscription for that period of time but yet what about those subscribers that already have the companion. That is where it is bothering some.

Now you are going to say you got her/him (whatever companion) already. Yea we did and we still had to be a subscriber so we still had to pay the subscription to qualify and yet those that already have this companion are still paying a subscription but yet since we already have this companion we get no reward for being a subscriber during this time.

It isn't about the companion being rewarded for a subscriber reward it is the fact there are those still paying a subscription that don't get a reward or maybe this is where BW would like those that already have her to unsubscribed during this time.

Frankly, I could care less about the companions, I have too many of them and while some of you claim she is the best DPS, I have never used her and have never had a problem in any of my missions/heroics/etc.

It is mainly the way they handled this, yet again. Of course it being BW it shouldn't surprise any of long time vets as they been doing this too many times regularly and of course they may have done this to get the attention off all the bugs and the way things have been done lately. That wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Take care and have a great week.

When this game dies there will be no new events, story, items, etc added to this Star Wars universe. You'll also lose access to all content you already have. The more money the game makes the longer it will stay alive. This promotion costs Bioware virtually nothing to put on. Thus saving and making funds. Your "Long Term Vet" cry for it's unfair make new stuff, if heeded would inhibit Bioware's capacity to do just that.

I acknowledge that there are subscribing players that feel upset because they aren't getting anything new. There are a few things they should think about. Did you sub when a promotion wasn't going on, if so why? Do you take advantage of the referral rewards program? Ever wanted to create a new account? Subscribers get perks that F2P and Preferred players don't. This is true with or without a promotion. There's currently a flood of new players and a greater reason for them to subscribe. Players now have a better chance of getting the referral rewards. The CC that could be obtain if used correctly would help players' guilds or end game content grinding. If a player's account feels old, or lack luster, they can create a new one and still obtain Shae Vizla (I'm doing this ha ha)

If you constantly focus on the surface level stuff then you're gonna miss a lot of opportunities. If you're still mad about not getting anything new, because you pretty much accomplished everything, leaving the game could be just as great an opportunity for you.

  15. Limited ≠ exclusive/one time only. I couldn't find the original advertisement for Shae Vizla, but the ones I did find say Limited time. Bioware bringing the promotion back every two-ish year is still technically keeping their word . Because she's not available all the time.

I personally feel like its a waste of time complaining about an item that's probable going to be meaningless 10 years from now, assuming the game dies by then. One could argue that it's meaningless now. Bringing the promotion back will help the game. Helping the game will allow players to access the said item longer.
