  1. So with a new character on Sahe Vizla who starts at level zero, I've noticed some things that really affect my character's economy:

1: Fast travel points, even on the second planet, are way too expensive.

2: Crew missions for Crafting are also way too expensive.  If they have to pay over 1K credits for a level 2 mission, it really becomes a matter of moving from place to place OR crafting.

3: For a character tokened to 70, paying for crafting missions is just about impossible when you start with zero money, and trying to use quick travel or even taxi rides (which on Ossus are outrageously price) becomes again the choice of doing one or the other, but not both.

  2. I got yet another reply from them after I had to open yet another ticket about this and the person, who must not be able to read correctly said exactly what the other did and asked when I bought the character slot, then closed the ticket. I think they're just trying to be obtuse. Really. All the information was in the first and second tickets, which I referred to.

How can they not grasp what's going on??

  3. On 7/4/2022 I put in ticket 38892603 requesting they give me all the characters I had created (and paid for their character slots). They could not restore 15, so I wrote and asked for the character slots back, even if they couldn't restore the characters :THEY IGNORED ME

On 7/17/2022 I put a ticket in again because when I was getting no response from them, I wanted to create another character so I paid 600 cartel coins for a character slot, clicked it, but when I went out to create the new character it still said 61/61 (which is what I already had). I put another ticket in, 38906613 and the unhelpful desk person said she/he did some research and I had gotten the character slot. I DID NOT. I still have 61/61 and it refuses to allow me to create a new character.

I'm getting increasingly angry about the unhelpfulness of the "help desk" and the fact that they totally ignore me.

What can I do to get this fixed?

Here's a picture of what I see when I try to create my 62nd character, read the text up there on the right.

  4. I'm pretty sick and tired of doing Random FP's then not getting my "searching for allies" or any conquest points, even when it's the 5/5 FP, because this game is broken. The Help desk just says it's a bug and will be repaired in some nebulous, unnamed, update in the vague future. When will they stop putting out stuff we don't care about and fix all the bugs? Do any of them even play this game?

They are pushing us away. Not only the bugs, but the disaster their new conquest system was when it first came out. Some people in my guilds on 3 different servers simply quit when that happened. Now my own frustration is building so high, I'm on the verge. Why don't they stop pouring their money into a game that MIGHT take off whenever it's finally released (Anthem), and invest in the game we are already playing? Big and flashy doesn't make it in my book. They need to fix SWTOR.

  5. I wrote that I'd done "Random" flashpoints with "all" options checked yet never got credit for "Searching for Allies." I got this response:

I am Alexandre, from Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Customer Service.

I take good not of your follow -up with regards to "searching for allies" not validating, despite your radom queuing and no filtering.

Sadly, my records show that it is the case, but the very nature of that bug prevents me from giving ou credit for it.

Please abandon that weekly quest, and rety a a later stage.

As this particular case appears to have been caused by a bug within the game that will need to be corrected in a future game update and as such, cannot be corrected by Customer Service.

However, to allow us to identify and correct these issues, we would request that you submit a Bug Report on this issue. Bug Reports submitted though the In-Game Help Center go directly to our development QA team and not to Customer Service. To submit a bug, you can type /bug in your chat window or select Bug Report from the drop down when creating a new ticket in the In-Game Help Center.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and to thank you again for the valuable feedback you have provided. Please do not hesitate to report any other issues you may encounter while playing.

So when will this ever get fixed. There are bugs in this game that are years old. Why aren't they fixed? Putting in tickets to the help desk half the time they tell me it's a bug. Why aren't these being addressed?

  6. I have over 100 alts, and after doing all the chapters multiple times, I'm sick and tired of them. I did find a way to get Lana back. I did the Shift+E to get the chapter screen, clicked on Wraith and Ruin, and she came back. I didn't even have to start the chapter.

Thank you all for the positive responses to this. To the trolls, find a hobby.

  7. What level is your character? The support droid/god bot for FA/SoR FPs isn't available until a character is at least level 55. I think FA is offered at level 53, IIRC. Check your Activities Window, and its Solo tab. That'll list the solo FPs currently available to your character (based on level) where a support droid is provided.

There's a gap between when FA/SoR can be picked up (at least level 53), and when a support droid is available for FA/SoR FPs (at least level 55).

She was 56 at the time. I ended up doing it through GF.

  8. As soon as you get the mission from Darok, the phase barrier should be open for you and set for story/solo mode. You don't need to talk to the droid outside.

I know, I've done it 70+ times, I did it on my imp alt yesterday, it was just broken for my pub, I ended up doing the Veteran.

  9. Tried repeatedly to start SoR Prelude. Get quest from Col Darok to do Korriban Incursion, and it will only give me Veteran mode, there is NO solo mode, no combat assistant droid. Reseting phase, abadoning and restarting entire quest line does not fix it. So how can my character complete it?
  10. Greetings!

I haven't seen this posted so I thought I'd share this.

When fighting "Junior" (the Rancor in the beast pit), there are 4 smaller beasts that will fight you -- Bergola, Brick, Lil' Jwizzix and Rompy. However, if you cure one of them earlier in the chapter -- Bergola -- you will instead have 4 pets that will help you defeat the rancor and will stay with you until chapter's end. Here's how:

**THIS MUST BE DONE BEFORE PLANTING THE CHARGE ON THE LAST SECURITY RELAY!**

    1) While running around planting the charges on the security relays, you will go to the kitchen to get food for the guards. You will hear a Head Chef yell at a kitchen droid about the quality of the Krell. Behind the droid is a garbage can full of cooked Krell (named "Culinary Abomination"), Click on it and you will get a message. You can't take one of them -- yet.

    2) Further on in the mission, you will enter the Beast area. You will hear the beast master tell one of the workers about taking care of one of his sick 'kids' -- Bergola. Go to Bergola's stall and you will see a glowing plate in front of her. Click on that - it contains the medicine to make her better but she won't take it because it smells terrible.

    3) Go back to the kitchen and click on the garbage can from step 1. You can now take one of the Krell.

    4) Open your mission inventory, right click on the Culinary Abomination. It will combine with the medicine to form a "Medicated Culinary Abomination."

    5) Go back to Bergola's stall -- there should be a glowing trough at the opposite side of the stall. Click on it -- this puts the cocktail in the stall. Bergula will walk over and eat it (you will see her health bar go from half to full). You should then get a message saying "Bergula seems grateful. She will remember this".

    6) When it's time to fight Junior, all the beast pens will open and the 4 beasts will come out as well. But rather than attack you, they will now be part of your fighting force and help with any mobs -- including the Chapter 6 final battle.

**Thanks to Zasszz for bringing up the Vaylin holostatue: don't forget to pick it up from the table in the grand foyer (it turns into a Stronghold decoration once the chapter is complete) - and for catching I had listed the wrong chapter number (see what happens when you forum post after playing 6 chapters back to back?) A forum mod was kind enough to correct it. (Muchas gracias!!)

**Thanks to SerraShar for the title change suggestion -- hope it makes more sense now! :D

    Enjoy! :)

Best hint I've ever seen for SWTOR.

  11. An exploit is an unintentional (by devs) way you can get extra of something, like credits or xp/cxp. Here is an example. Recently on fleet one of the vendors was selling the Cultural and Imperial Memorabilia companion gifts for 1/10th of their normal sale price. However, they would buy them back for the same price. If you bought them for gifts, fine, they didn't mind too much, but if you bought them and resold them back to vendor, you made tons of credits and they threatened to shut your account down.
  12. Solution. Because this happened to a second character, I discovered it's all tied to the alert you get to do "Traitor Among the Chiss.." I believe it only happens to people who have played through every single chapter of the expansion and "Crisis on Umbara." It locked Lana away the moment the new flashpoint, Traitor, came out. It forced me to do that flashpoint to get Lana back. Intolerable.
