  1. There is a lot of doom and gloom lately surrounding this game , and some of is understandable . After all, the devs did a good job at selling us the 10 year anniversary thing and keeping us hyped about it, but kinda failed to live up to their promises in the end. If you ask me, they kinda shot themselves in the foot.

Because I remember the initial news about 7.0 was all shiny about content, content.... Now we managed to get a very short story instead which is most likely unfinished. The trailer was exceptionally well done , but by the time I actually got to see that twilek jedi, it was already the end of the new story and it was like for a brief time only.

The gearing is .. for me very bad and there were changes made to what 6.0 was like that bring or add nothing new .

After KOTEt and KOTFE there was a trend of shorter and shorter updates content wise which culminated with 7.0 . My expectations regarding this expansion were very moderate because I didn't want to get disappointed and personally, I got what I expected . Nothing more , nothing less . It seems that a lot of players had very unrealistic expectations .

Honestly, this is a ten year old game . It already has a ton of content and expecting releases like back in the days of Hutt Cartel or 2.0 times is unrealistic and will never happen. I work in the automotive industry and the management of our company sees only numbers and that's mostly what they cared about. I suspect the gaming industry is the same in many aspects. Newer projects produce better numbers for the companies and that's what Bioware did in the meantime. They moved on to a big part of their team to focus on new projects that look more promising $$$ wise . After all , we shouldn't forget that it's about money as well, not just art and entertainment.

I really love this game since 2015 , but I don't expect miracles . You know , at some point , all things end . Let's hope that things get a bit better in time. Maybe they realize what they did wrong and improve . 6.0 did a lot of things right , but sadly 7.0 was your typical 3 steps back after 2 steps forward.

  2. We're all in 330 Rakata from easily farming Nefra, Dashroode, WrithHorror.

These fights are EASIER than healing a veteran flashpoint without clicking koltos.

Atleast in 6.0 I had to put in some effort by grinding MM fp ques and actually being responsible for my outgoing heals/dps.

You tried, but yea.....you didn't take the necessary steps needed to actually lock best gear behind difficult content.

A massive waste of time and resources. You (Bioware) need to hire a 3rd party consulting company for how to run an MMO at this point, you've clearly lost all employees who can critically think about how it feels for the player in-game.

I don't even know what to think anymore, you guys are all over the place with decisions. An entire expansion of crap we didn't need.

And what do you actually suggest ? You want players to pay their subscription to gear up , and make that basically their main goal for playing the game ? Or you want them to have content to actually play.... Sadly we are getting insane and illogical gearing systems to keep us playing and compensate for lack of proper content . I mean this expansion was like what ? 15 minutes of story ?

6.0 gearing was perfect for everyone . They changed it cuz boyz were complaining about others farming certain MM FP's 24/7 , like those players were bothering anyone by doing so.

  3. Gear both ways. Fastest way to do it, is to get to 324 Decurion gear, which is the conqeust/solo gear (don't upgrade it to green 326s I'll get to why in a moment). So do CZ, Black Hole, Heroics ect. The crates for decurion gear are useless they are just side-grades, so don't bother opening them until you are full 326. I use the green 326s for extra gear sets for alts.

Once u are full 324 then start doing warzones weeklies or, the fastest way, Galactic Starfighter weeklies. If you have 324 gear and open a Thyrisian/pvp gear crate, it automatically upgrades your lowest gear rated item to a 326 purple.

The gear cap in pvp is 326. So the ppl who have 330 purple pve gear have their stats capped regardless, doesn't help them in pvp. And finally, not sure where u got the idea that the gearing currency isn't legacy bound, but it is. You can't trade the crates back and forth but once u open them the gear is legacy bound as well.

    Thank you.

Do the augments work ? I mean the 286 ones.

  4. Hi all,

I'd like some help and advice with this gearing system, which , in my opinion is the worst by far in the history of this game.

So how do I even start ? I can go a PVE route and a PVP route. What's the point of even getting gearing through PVP and having 326 bis if players can earn 330 gear from PVE and que up WZ and outperform players who have 326 bis through PVP route ?

what's the logic. also , why isn't currency for gearing legacy bound ?

So, I need advice on how to proceed. I recently returned to the game after a few months break and I want to start up properly the correct and most efficient way.

    Thanks all.

  5. I had the same problem myself. The game didn't accept any credit card I had, even though I used to pay for my sub with them for a long time.

I changed my origin account password so that it is identical with the swtor account one and it worked after that.

  6. re 1. I always thought this was a bit broken. And it happened to me a couple of times. It gets even worse the more you lose. So for example if your first ten games are unlucky, and then you have a lucky ten games you will get to like 1100. May be ranking should start from zero point.

I would not call it actually game breaking feature because it effects everyone.

re 2. Class stacking is the biggest problem in ranked since ever. And some classes due to there special abilities or very strong burst are much worse to others. So 2 or more Mercs is game breaks, and same is for PT or Sin.

re.3 I think 25 or 50 Valor does not make a difference. What is a great idea and should have been implemented since Arena where introduced in Summer 2013 when the mode was launched was the allowance to que Solo-Arena without ranking for people to practise. Your idea of an artificial ranking sounds really good, BW implementing that very unlikely.

Class stacking is not something you just need to fix , it is not a " problem" in itself . It's the direct result of poor class balance . What kind of classes you usually see stacked up ? The ones that are most OP . If opers are super good for ranked, a lot of people will que as opers , which will result in higher chance of 3, or 4 operatives stacked in the same team.

  7. I am ashamed to admit that I kind of dropped marauder after maining it for like 5 years , in preparation for 7.0 , where warriors look to be rock bottom trash .

I have found this class to be a total pvp machine having all the possible tools to create to most possible mess and you can totally cripple anyone pretty quickly with a conc oper,

However they are not that god mode and can be shut down . Like someone else has already said, if you pressure an oper well enough he will have to use dcds and thus waste his dps by not attacking the opponent.

Every class has counters . Why it seems op to you is because a lot of scrubs( like me) jumped on the ship in hope of some pvp glory and the que is full them . But most of them aren't good .

I meet PT's that smash my face pretty quickly , but I wouldn't start a nerf pt thread . It's quite possible, OP, you got destroyed mostly by a player that is way better than you and not by the class. ;)

  8. So I just came back to the game after quite a few years away. I always loved the pvp in this game but things have seemed to change. I dont know if it is just me but pvp as a low level character seems pretty pointless. No matter what I do I get demolished. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or has pvp become crap? I remember pvp at the level 30 range and I did pretty well now it seems like everything smashes me. I know I need to get gud and all but no matter what seems like low level is at a complete disadvantage.

At low level you don't have proper gear in the first place and you are mixed with higher level players that have more abilities or item rating than you do and you just get 2 shot killed .

Yeah it's annoying . I would just power level up to make sure you mostly skip lowbies and midbies. They are a total senseless mess and shouldn't be in the game since they removed pvp gear and tokens .

  9. Hey There soldier, let's pause a second. When did you get those numbers that 90 percent of players give only negative feedback and dislike the new gearing system? And saying that 6.0 was best of all time... well you just baffled the rest of us here.

It was probably second to worst, with everyone getting his within a week or two of constant spamming Hammer station and Toborro. This is not the way. This is trash system.

And I am not saying here that I completely agree with everything they are introducing, but tokens and vertical progression is good stuff. We used to have it before and it was working great.

If spamming Hammer Station was such a problem, changing the way get gear with such an enslaving system was not something this game needed was it ? All they had to do is build on what they started in 6.0 and fixing HS spam would have been one of the easiest tasks for them . And what exactly was your problem with farming content in order to gear up fast ?

Do you think people pay their sub to spend their gaming time grinding forever to gear up their characters or they prefer to actually have access and enjoy the content they like ? As for myself, I am a PVP-er and want to gear up in order to play what I like . If you think I am wrong, just read through this thread and see for yourself how much people love what they gonna get .

Like I said in previous posts, it is all set in stone and they have decided long ago that they will bring this in . All they can do now is make it suck less . ;)

  10. Hey Community!

I want to start this post with a huge thank you to everyone who participated on PTS and gave their input and feedback surrounding the 7.0 gearing system in our feedback thread. We appreciate your passion to make SWTOR the best it can be!. We want to share with you adjustments we’ve made based on your feedback after clarifying some misconceptions.

    Clarification: Weekly Repeatable Missions

Let’s clear up some confusion we’ve seen regarding Weekly Missions in 7.0. We previously announced a change where Weekly Missions will reset their progress when the reset time has been reached. To ensure players are still able to complete their Weekly Missions in a reasonable time we have made 2 additional adjustments to go alongside this first change.

    1. The requirements for key Weekly Missions have been reduced.
    2. Some Weekly Missions can now be completed 3x per week for rewards instead of 1x per week.

As players have noticed, some Weekly Missions on PTS have already been changed so they can be completed 3x and with the next PTS this will now be visible directly on the UI.

These changes have been applied to the following Missions:

    • Flashpoint Weekly Missions
      • [WEEKLY] Galactic Conflicts
      • [WEEKLY] Veteran Flashpoints

[*]Operations Weekly Missions (Story mode only)

      • [WEEKLY] The Dread Fortress (Story)
      • [WEEKLY] The Dread Palace (Story)
      • [WEEKLY] The Nature Of Progress (Story)
      • [WEEKLY] Eternity Vault (Story)
      • [WEEKLY] Explosive Conflict (Story)
      • [WEEKLY] Gods From The Machine (Story)
      • [WEEKLY] Karagga's Palace (Story)
      • [WEEKLY] The Ravagers (Story)
      • [WEEKLY] Scum And Villainy (Story)
      • [WEEKLY] Temple of Sacrifice (Story)
      • [WEEKLY] Terror From Beyond (Story)

      [*]Uprising Weekly Missions

      • [WEEKLY] Master Uprisings
      • [WEEKLY] Veteran Uprisings
      • [WEEKLY] Story Uprisings

      [*][WEEKLY] Searching for Allies

      [*]Heroic Weekly Missions

      [*]Daily Area Weekly Missions

      [*]PvP Weekly Missions

      • [WEEKLY] Conspicuous Valor
      • [WEEKLY] The Spoils of War
      • [WEEKLY] Go Berserk!
      • [WEEKLY] Time for Pain!
      • [WEEKLY] Galactic Starfighter

Finally, we've seen concerns that the progress reset could occur when players are on the turn-in step of missions that require interacting with a drop box to complete. These have all been converted to complete automatically so a physical turn-in is no longer required. Please note that any turn-ins that require a conversation or interaction with an NPC will remain as-is.

    Clarification: Heroic Missions

We have seen a misunderstanding that players will no longer have the ability to complete the Heroic Missions they want to run, and wanted to talk about this with you all. Part of the 7.0 gearing design is to encourage players to spread around the galaxy by rewarding only certain activities each week.

We want to clarify that with this system, any activities that aren’t being encouraged will still be available, and will still be rewarded. At any time players will be able to access the Heroic Missions terminal on the fleet or travel to a planet’s mission dropbox to access the Heroic Mission of their choice, complete their Heroic, and receive their rewards. What will be changing week by week is which Heroic area gives bonus rewards for completion.

    Adjustments to Gearing

After reading through and analyzing your feedback, we will be making the following adjustments which you will see live at 7.0

    Legendary Missions

We will be adjusting the amount of charge gained from PvP activities so that all PvP related activities give 10 charges per match. (Previous values were 4 charge for Unranked matches, 7 charge for Solo Ranked matches, and 10 charge for Group Ranked matches)

    Role in Need

We have slightly increased the rewards for Role in Need to make them more enticing and also encourage players to swap roles:

    • 2 Processed Isotope Stabilizer
    • 50 Tech Fragments
    • 5 Medals of Commendation
    • 5 Aquatic Resource Matrix (up from 3)

    Galactic Starfighter

Rewards for Starfighter weren’t equal to rewards from other modes of PvP so we have increased the rewards from GSF to be closer to PvP rewards.

    • GSF Losses now reward 50 Tech Fragments (up from 0)
    • GSF Wins now have a chance to grant a Legendary Ember (previously no chance)
    • The GSF Weekly Mission will now reward 1000 Tech Fragments (up from 720)
    • The GSF Daily Mission will now reward 150 Tech Fragments (up from 120)

    PvP Gearing Costs

PvP gear upgrades required too high amounts of Medal of Commendation and Aquatic Resource Matrixes so these values have been reduced. We have also increased the amount of Aquatic Resource Matrices (ARMs) rewarded from PvP Weekly Missions.

    • Unranked Weekly Missions now reward 8 ARMs (up from 2)
    • Solo Ranked and GSF Weekly Missions now reward 10 ARMs (up from 3)
    • Group Ranked Weekly Missions now reward 12 ARMs (up from 4)

    Tech Fragments

To compensate for the amount of Tech Fragments players used to receive from Deconstruction, we have increased the amount of Tech Fragments reward from various activities:

    • Conquest:
      • Personal Reward increased to 250 (up from 100)

      [*]Group Finder:

      • Master FP Daily increased to 150
      • Master FP Repeatable increased to 50
      • Veteran FP Daily increased to 125
      • Veteran FP Repeatable increased to 40
      • Story OP Daily increased to 175
      • Story OP Repeatable increased to 60
      • Veteran Uprisings Daily increased to 75
      • Veteran Uprisings Repeatable increased to 75

[*]Chapters (does not include Chapter IX: The Alliance)

      • Story Chapter completion increased to 10
      • Veteran Chapter completion increased to 20
      • Master Chapter completion increased to 30

      [*]Heroics:

      • Heroic mission Completion now grants 10 Tech Fragments (up from 0)

      [*]Daily Areas:

      • Daily Area mission completion now grants 10 Tech Fragments (up from 0)

    Obtaining Gear at 320

When obtaining gear at Item Rating 320 from Flashpoints and Operations it was possible for players to begin receiving duplicate items before having acquired all pieces at Item Rating 320. We have adjusted these drops so players should no longer receive duplicate gear if any of their equipment slots has a piece of gear below 320.

    Defeating Bosses

The reduction of gear dropping from bosses has left them feeling less exciting when killed. We have adjusted the distribution of currency and gear on bosses to retain some of that excitement.

Defeating a boss in Flashpoints or Operations will now always reward a piece of gear. This gear will be equal item rating to a randomly chosen piece of gear the player has equipped. In addition, the boss may drop bonus currency (Decurion Stabilizers for Flashpoints, Hazardous Catalysts for Operations) when defeated.

    Gear Drops for Solo Players

Players on the Conquest Gear track currently have no way to obtain direct gear drops, which would make gearing alt character more difficult than we intended. To alleviate this issue we have created a new Noble Decurion Distribution Crate. This crate will reward the player 1 piece of Noble Decurion gear, at an equal item random to a randomly chosen piece of equipped gear.

This crate will be rewarded on the Weekly Missions for Heroic and Daily Areas.

    Story Flashpoint Rewards

Story Flashpoint Missions will now offer the player a choice between 3 Medals of Commendation or 3 Decurion Isotope Stabilizers for completion.

Bosses in Story Flashpoints will still drop Decurion Isotope Stabilizers.

    Gear Stat Adjustments

We have made some changes to stats offered by gear in order to give players a better experience and to open up more opportunities to customize your build. For most players, if you continue to follow the named set for your Combat Style you should see better performance for your class.

As a reminder, these are the suggested sets for your Combat Style Discipline

    Advanced Gearing: Customizing Your Build

For players who want greater control over their builds, we are varying the distribution of tertiary stats across different gear pieces

    What does that mean?

For example: The head piece from the Targeter’s set will have Accuracy as a stat while the head piece from the Mender’s set will contain Crit as a stat. This allows players to equip pieces of gear from other sets in order to adjust their stats as desired. For these players we have included a table showing which gear slots align with which stats below.

    • Targeter’s:
      • Chest - Alacrity
      • Feet - Accuracy
      • Hands - Alacrity
      • Head - Accuracy
      • Legs - Crit

      [*]Mender's:

      • Chest - Crit
      • Feet - Alacrity
      • Hands - Alacrity
      • Head - Crit
      • Legs - Alacrity

      [*]Boltblaster's:

      • Chest - Accuracy
      • Feet - Alacrity
      • Hands - Crit
      • Head - Alacrity
      • Legs - Accuracy

      [*]Med-Tech's:

      • Chest - Alacrity
      • Feet - Crit
      • Hands - Crit
      • Head - Alacrity
      • Legs - Crit

      [*]Demolisher's:

      • Chest - Shield
      • Feet - Shield
      • Hands - Shield
      • Head - Absorb
      • Legs - Absorb

      [*]Force-Lord's:

      • Chest - Accuracy
      • Feet - Alacrity
      • Hands - Crit
      • Head - Accuracy
      • Legs - Alacrity

      [*]Force-Healer's:

      • Chest - Crit
      • Feet - Crit
      • Hands - Alacrity
      • Head - Crit
      • Legs - Alacrity

      [*]Duelist's:

      • Chest - Absorb
      • Feet - Absorb
      • Hands - Absorb
      • Head - Shield
      • Legs - Shield

      [*]Pummeler's:

      • Chest - Alacrity
      • Feet - Crit
      • Hands - Accuracy
      • Head - Alacrity
      • Legs - Accuracy

      [*]Bulwark's:

      • Chest - Absorb
      • Feet - Shield
      • Hands - Shield
      • Head - Shield
      • Legs - Absorb

Waist and Wrist pieces are not listed as those pieces do not contain the relevant stats.

    Wrapping it up: Thank you!

We will continue watching your feedback to identify any improvements to the gearing system. Thank you again to everyone who has tested the 7.0 gearing on the PTS and provided feedback, as well as an early thank you to those who will be playing the Legacy of the Sith expansion when it arrives. We’re excited to bring this expansion to you all, and can’t wait to enjoy it with you!

Hi and thank you for the changes.

I am really baffled tho and just cannot understand why you are doing this . 5.0 had an absolutely abysmal gearing system with Ossus being probably one of the worst ever . You listened to feedback and you released 6.0 with , in my opinion, one of the best gearing systems this game ever had, with the only down part of us being able to farm certain types of content 24/7 to reach max gear . Overall, the system was pretty good as it allowed everyone to play how they wanted to the game . The RNG part of the amps was a bit annoying and so were some RNG aspects. but overall it was pretty good.

Now here comes 7.0 and you decide to SCRAP it all and introduce a system that let's be honest, no one likes... 90% of the feedback you got was against it and you still go on with this idea and you still think it's going to be great despite players telling you that it is terrible. You might end up half of the time in 7.0 fixing your gearing system , while you could have improved your 6.0 gearing and you could have spent less time on sorting out all the mess .

Now, believe... adding stating gear is one of the worst things you could have done. You basically dictate players what stats to use instead of letting them do what they want with their builds . This is a really bad idea .

I really hope , you guys are listening and keep improving this system to make it bearable. I understand the core design is set in stone , but please don't be stubborn and insist going on with this .

  11. The only people who like this gutting of classes must be casual rp-ers or story players, because to them it makes no difference. But for someone who plays regular and ranked, these changes can totally destroy one's class . The same applies to anyone looking to do hard endgame content , but for PVP a juggernaut is already garbage and due to these changes they get the final nail in their coffin .

Don't be mistaken by the people posting and testing on PTS. Yes, there is 90% negative feedback because obviously these changes make absolutely no sense at all and they are done without any purpose other than gutting for the sake it, but the vast majority of players playing the game have no clue about what is coming . What you see on pts and pts forums is not even 1% of the players . The rest will find out as they play 7.0 .

They could have nerfed the defensives without making us choose between them very easily by changing somehting that gives 30% dmg reduction to only 10% , but no. They need to dumb down the game , it's too complicated as it is .

  12. 1- players doing 0 dps and 1k hps per round with 250k dmg taken is totally wintrading.

2-When it's my turn to get roasted I get global by 3. I can handle 2 but 3 is too much since my allies are sometimes very tunneling their mind or doing s*** around and make zero kill on other side. No guard nor offhealings. So I have only few seconds to survive. Can't breath 1 second. Using discord or a similar communicating tool to make strats against 1 person for pure vengeance. No thanks.

I'm just gonna preach bad things to everything about this game until my very last day. Good luck kids

Silver is possible, pretty much so . But in my humble opinion , it's very unlikely you will get gold . The majority of players are sitting in the silver, bronze, below bronze range . How some people just go straight to the top or to get gold is always a good question , but you should be playing ranked out of enjoyment and not out of glory hunting. Like I've said, statiscally and mathematically it's highly unlikely you will get near gold due to what the que throws at you all the time. You will have very good runs with lots of wins followed by series of losses you just cannot do anything about . Maybe roll another char, or make another alt and try again .

  13. How? They show us what they plan. Most players dislike it (gearing - awful, changes to missions - awful, changes to conquest - awful, changes to level synch and leveling - awful, removing abilities - awful, removing renown without any replacement meter to go up post max level - awful). They ask for feedback. We tell them how we feel about it. They ignore it and plan to follow their "vision".

How is this a way to attract or keep players?

This was always an enigma . How they are asking for feedback , but still seem to be fixed on their ways. The core of 7.0 was intended to be what was seen on PTS.

The only changes they can probably make is tweak some numberrs, like mission X will have a 50% more chance of dropping gear Y , and so on... Make it easier and less grindy in general.

Also, let's not forget about the bugs. Those need some fixing.

From what Ive seen so far, I like the char creation improvements, and the class flexibility . These 2 look nice to me.

  14. Yes, I think it's just the suits upstairs who are telling them to add the grind. I guess they need the "metrics" or whatever to justify spending money on this game.

And I wouldn't worry too much, because I'm sure that there will be a second combat style unlock token on the CM at some point.

They have to keep you interested in playing the game. Since we aren't getting enough actual content to keep us busy, they have to find other means to help with that . That's why we have gearing...

So far Ossus has been the worst gearing ever in my opinion and can't wait to see live if the current new one comes any close . Might not be the worst due to legacy bound gear, fingers crossed. :D

  15. Thank you for your excellent feedback post, OP! I enjoyed reading it more than I enjoyed playing on the PTS.

I really hope that the devs in charge will read it.

How should it not be like this? The devs come back to work in 2 weeks and then they have a few weeks time for bugfixing. They don't have time to change anything else. The PTS as it is now (minus maybe some bugs) is what we get in Februrary. (Unless they decide to scrap 7.0 for good. Which I doubt they will do.)

We have no way of knowing their schedule ... I seriously doubt they would release something that is so broken and so hated by those who've been testing and giving feedback . Like I said in some previous posts, the core of the expansion might be more or less as it is now. They might add some tweaks to gearing for example to make it partially easier and fairer to solo players as well . The rest of the hopefully " fixes" will come in later patches. As usual, they scrap something that was mostly balanced (6.0 gearing) with something that everyone hates to spend the next 5 patches trying to fix it .

  16. I'll tackle this in Order.

    1) Loss of abilities/skills is fine, especially DCD's. This game has gotten bloated to all hell with DCD's, and really can use it being toned down. This isn't bad or good, just necessary.

    2) Lack of pre-selecting FP's/heroics? Not a problem. For FP's you can still make a group of 4 and walk in by hand. So not a big deal one way or the other if they aren't in GF. You just don't get credit for the GF weekly this way, but can still do them at any point. As for heroics, I've noticed on some planets different heroic weeklies appear (may be a bug) so you may have more options then you realize.

    3) Resetting of dailies is fine. I do think they should revisit the resetting of the Weeklies however. I don't agree with that one point.

    4) The Auto-sorting of the Inventory they've already said is a bug. So hopefully it's fixed before 7.0 launch.

    5) Lack of Modable gear should be revisited as well if they aren't going to put in the Obscene amount of Mods, and enhancements like are in 6.0. If they just went with Lethal A, B, and Unlettered as an example it would be Alright. If they were going to go back to the 20 or so variations for each mod, and enhancement I'd rather have it how it is on the PTS. I'm tired of praying to RNG jesus for the proper mod or enhancement. That needed to go.

    6) 100k conquest points regardless is easy to get even on the PTS. If you didn't remember you need to reactivate your SH's when on the PTS or you'll get less points. You lose your 150% bonus if you don't do this. It simply is not hard to get to 100k, so I have 0 issues with this.

    7) limiting the number of alts for conquest for the Medals of Commendation may not be optimal, however it makes sense. BW doesn't want us to gear up in week 1 or 2 of the expansion like we did last time. I have no issues having a weekly cap for these. The only question should be Is the cap off 999 to low?. Otherwise you still get your 100 Tech frags per character and you still get your Guild Rewards at the end of the week so in truth they are only limiting part of the rewards for conquest, and not all. You still get your Flagship plans to use or sell. Going along this same line for gearing, they should increase the amount of Aquatic Resource Matrix's that the Heroic weeklies give from 20 as is on the PTS to 40-50 to lessen the grind for solo players. Also reducing the cost of Isotopes, and Ops mat for upgrades (or increasing how much drop accordingly so all are equal for this)

    8) which you didn't mention, I am somewhat concerned on Ops balance at this point, and hope BW would look into that, but if not it will definitely make things more challenging which isn't necessarily a bad thing for us either. I just hope that don't make them overly challenging for story mode or hard mode Ops. NiM should be a Pain in the butt however.

As you see I don't mind many things, but I do think some should be reconsidered to some degree. Even with everything on your list, and the things I would hope they'd look into, this wouldn't come close to the worst expansion this game has ever had.

Regarding point 1, ASBOLUTELY NOT IN THE WAY IT GOING TO BE DONE !

Yeah too many dcds and too much ttk ? No problem nerf them all , but not by removing them or making me select between having or not having VITAL ones. I've been a marauder main since 4.0 and have been playing warrior pretty much every since in both pvp and pve, and thanks to these totally abysmal changes, my preferred class is going to be useless garbage , if it goes live like it's now on the PTS . You have to ask the legit question if these developers are playing their own game or are just coming up with random changes for the sake of " improvement" .

The only thing I like about 7.0 is so far legacy gear, the new character creator and the fact that I can play sith assasin as a sith warrior story too. That is cool. The rest is just bollocks . The story I can't comment about because it will be reveled after release.

  17. Thank you, I will try asking around.

You can also try queing early morning during weekends because you have mostly arenas due to low population in que .

This will help you get familiar with them, because as a regular unranked player, arenas are what you are bad at, due to not playing them enough. Then you enter a game mode where you play against players who play ONLY arenas .

You had some great advice here . Use it, but practice arenas as much as possible. As soon as you are decent, forget regs. Que only when ranked doesn't pop.

  18. Somewhere in the forgetten places on the hoth, on the entire galaxy, there is a Imperial officer waiting to be clicked somewhere corner in a cave system. He was begging to get supplies and boost morale of his troops. I did not even noticed there is so much side quests on each planet but it seems Hoth have the most in the bases.

He needed supplies to boost morale, so my agent had that awesome dialogue option "[Flirt] I know alternatives" he then quietly "duty first duty first" whispered himself.

Now in 2021, all we get is broken, buggy mess, unfinished, rushed so called video games hoarded by physocphats at publisher buildings whom decides to butcher developers, and/or decides to limit devs creative work and even worse, enslave them under "family".

That is the attention to detail, that is the thing we miss nowadays, because everything became so corporate.

medieval age type rules in the dev studio, even corporate arms who monitor innocent devs from far away.

Andromeda was a disaster, DA is already ruined before release, not enough communication, publishers getting greedy, shutting down forums to avoid both trolls and questions from concerned players, firing old veterans sliently, developers struugle to stay alive under EA

I missed you old bioware, I miss the late 90s early 2000s, golden era of computer gaming.

While you make good points, you probably don't realize that all these things are part of our daily lives and they are representative of this consumerist shallow society we have created .

People are not patient, they like to rush everything , want it all with minimal effort and time investment etc . In case you are an older gamer who played those iconic games, yes, I can understand you . But please realize that these newer gamers don't like the type of games you grew up. They don't have patience to read immersive and well written dialogues , stories and characters that have depth is too complicated and boring for them, games where you have too many abilities and complex class systems is again very hard to understand. These new gamers just want' to keyboard mash and use very few abilities and so on. Hence we are going to get probably the worst expansion this game has ever seen, 7.0 . Legacy of the SIth .

And while games are work of art and creativity , are all about money making now .

  19. ngl this game is on its way out. Its completely stale and the devs only efforts are going into making a new character creation screen and other mindless low effort>short term reward corporate think dev game development tactics is gona maybe earn them a few thousand bucks in Cartel Market sales then these new players are gona be back out the door once they hit max level and get bored. Maybe its just because there is an expansion near but I have never seen regs so dead. When ranked is popping faster at night then you know there is a problem and I can see why people don't wana queue. Your average SWTOR pvp player doesn't like actual PvP. They get no satisfaction out of destroying other players but what does tickle their fancy is that "Victory" screen after successfully juggling Giradda's big sweaty Huttballs across the map. Even if that victory screen is associated with themselves being absolutrly murdered and spending half the match running back mid from spawn. The Victory screen gives them the same adrenaline spike one who actually can put out numbers or take on multiple players at a time by themselves might get. Now why are there less people queueing? Well given the fact that the average SWTOR player who pvp's hates pvp now they are no longer able to finish the dailies or weeklies in a reasonable time they just stop queueing. They see no Victory screen and those grey loot boxes are a slap in the face to anyone who cares about that stuff. Personally I just vendor them or delete them. I have unlimited stacks of WZ adrenals/medpacks and don't have the time to nor desire to open them. Now look at rank. You lose rank you get a blue lootbox. Weekly gives you a gold one and wins give you a purple. You basically get more from losing rank then you get from winning a regs or losing like 50 regs because the grey lootbox has nothing in it. When did devs get so fixated on all this lootbox casino nonsense with the galactic renown bar and this weird left side drop down menu that shows me there is a cash shop and ridiculous and useless login rewards. What is this game that used to be SWTOR lol....God I cannot wait for February. NEW MMO TIME FINALLY BABY. Its obvious that this is no the game I remember and its also obvious the devs dont care. Like I have been ranting about before they removed the suggestion box because they got tired of reading it. Now we have a pvp forum echo chamber where devs who are most likely much too busy plotting the next weird UI change to sneak in some more images of cartel market clickables to engage the playerbase on said forums.

You aren't far from the truth.

I took a serious brake from ranked this summer -autumn and for a few months from the game too . Coming back, I stopped doing regular PVP because it's so terrible . Farming players isn't fun , getting LAGBALL and Voidstar pops isn't fun either . By the way, the Ques garbage pit map is so bugged and dsynced again .

So ranked is the way to go. More challenging and frustrating at the same time, but worthwhile, despite it's flaws. You can buy nice gear, while in regs you get nothing.

  20. It is weird what gets called an expansion now... Like, think how long of a slog KOTFE was. And KOTET only slightly less so, they were HUGE in terms of story addition. Even though I hated the stories, they were undeniably long and deep.

Then look at Onslaught.. You can literally have the whole thing done in an hour and a half. Forged Alliances takes longer! The LEADUP to SoR... And Onslaught's meant to be a main expansion? It's barely bigger than Jedi Under Siege. Which was only an update right..

You know that might be the reason why were are stuck with long and complicated gear grinds. We get a story that we can finish in one hour without space barring the dialogues and what then ? Ah yes, we still need to have a " reason " that keeps usbusy" in game. And if actual content won't be able to do so, gearing surely will ...

It's sad to see that they made a lot of good things in terms of gearing in 6.0 , and now they seem to scrap it all . The only positive thing about it is the fact that it's still legacy bound(thank god).

You all made some good points . It's very unusual to browse threads about 7.0 and find out that a lot of changes are disliked.

  21. Our negative feedback to changes had very little to do with the delay.

If you jump on the PTS you can categorically see they didn’t have half the stuff even close to being finished. There are still so many bugs and systems that don’t sync up that if they’d released it they would have lost many new and old players because of how broken it would have been. I wouldn’t even consider some parts to be beta worthy yet.

I would temper your expectations with this delay. I don’t think BioWare are doing any major changes based on our negative feedback to unwanted changes. All BioWare are doing is trying to get the stuff currently on the PTS to work better than it does. Nothing more.

Suggesting they are making any course corrections based on our feedback is false hope and you’re just setting yourself and others up to being disappointed.

I think they will make changes, but the core of the game and how things will work is already set in stone . We can only hope they will make thing " easier" by increasing some drops here and there that helps gear up faster.

6.0 for me was the best gearing system this game had and I can't understand why would they scrap it and make something that is so hated by the players . I can't even imagine not being able to min max my stats, especially for ranked PVP .
