  1. I was just at one of the mailboxes in the Drag in Org and just in that tiny area there are little critters crawling around, the water moves realistically when one of them enters it.

Through the water, you can see a small school of fish darting about.

People complain about the "dated" nature of the game but on the contrary, there is more life going on in one tiny area of WoW than there is in an entire ZONE in TOR.

  2. but i see these threads where people have done everything there is to do and i just can't even begin to wrap my head around how much time they've been playing non stop.

3-4 hours daily is A LOT of time to play a game. and i was doing that since early access. i had 4 days early.

yet people are like i have 6 level 50's all top gear i have battlemaster i've beaten all op/fp 26 times i have all epic crafting recipes and all datacrons etc etc..

i'm blown away at this. seriously HOW MUCH TIME were THEY playing?!

    Power. Leveling. Services.

  3. I enjoy it for a while and then I'll ragequit. Sometimes it's because something in PVP pisses me off. Sometimes a quest will bring it on. Sometimes it's the space combat. What begins as fun usually ends up not fun at all.

But I keep coming back. Glutton for punishment? Maybe.

  4. i'd rather have SWTOR have more invisible walls. you wouldnt beleive the amount of timw i wasted and the amount of cash i wasted on fleet passes because if being stuck "off the path"

and /stuck only works so many times...

This. I've gotten hung up in mid-air in a croutching position so many times just trying to go places off their rails.

    Ugh. Stuck again.

  5. I just want Khem to just attack when I tell him to. That 10 seconds it takes for him to get his sword out and path stupidly to the target makes me rage.

When I want him to switch targets, it's way too slow.

Also, I have to WAIT for him to start hitting the mobs to shield him. If I shield him before, the mobs all start attacking ME first even though he's nearly on them without them attacking anything yet.

When I hit attack, just go attack. Get your sword out on the way or something!!!

Such a clunky system and while I like the companions and what they do bring to the game, it needs a LOT of tweaking still.

  6. Oh oh. The 'minimal apparent impact' statement might rile up the masses.

350k sounds a bit low to me though. That's only about 1500-1600 per server. Which really begs the question why instance?

There MUCH less on *most* servers. I would think that the vast majority are on the 10 top ones.

  7. Seriously. The game has been out officially, for how long now, 12 days? How do you think WoW was at the very start? They cant flood a new game with everything at the very start. In 2 months time this will be an even greater game then it is now.

So back to WoW now, off you go, good riddance.

I absolutely LOVE quotes like this. If everybody who decides they can't deal with these bugs leaves, who the hell will you be playing with??

You're gonna be ************ and moaning that your server's empty in about, oh, 18 days?

  8. Going to pay for one month. I'm already feeling fatigue already though.

I yell at my screen a LOT more than having "fun" should make me. Targeting is terrible. Healing is not good. The game gives me claustrophobia, everything looks big but you can't actually go anywhere.

I though Drumond Kaas was "on rails" and unexplorable until I got the Nar Shaddaa. HUGE city. Can't go to any of it. The idea of "planets" was a bait and switch. There's nothing planetary about any of them.

  9. Damage meters should make deciding stock builds easier once we get them, but still, it's not so bad right now - You still have more freedom in making hybrid builds than WoW ever had or will.

There you go. "Stock builds" is what will ruin your whole argument. Just because there isn't much theorycrafting NOW, doesn't mean that in a few months, TOR will be in the exact same boat WoW has been in for two expansions.

You only have more freedom because nobody knows what the hell is "best". As soon as that is decided (and it's all over the class boards now), your freedom is out the window.

You have a short memory. WoW USED to have a lot of hybrid builds. Once the entire community got obsessed with gear score and the Elitist Jerks forums, it all went down hill.

  10. WoW NEEDs macros, because it needs them and so many other shortcuts to make up for all its base failures. This game does not.

Talk about throwing out a half-baked game for the players to fix up on their own with some psuedo-coding LOL you have to be a shill to swallow that down.

    Lrn2design.

You're suggesting Blizzard "Lrn2design"??? Holy s**t you are thick.

You've already got cookie-cutter specs working and clutter all over the place. Same old talent tree design that's been reused in HOW MANY games?

Bioware did many great things with this game and it has many strong points. The abilities and talents are just not one of them. You'd think they would have tried to think outside the box and come up with something different.

Unfortunately, they went the safe route.

Seems Blizzard are the ones thinking.

Good thing I'm playing BOTH games because, y'know, you CAN do it.
