#1 is proof that ppl who work at bw now do not play the game. I mean for pvp most of ppl use only one acc enhancement or some go for very high alacrity etc......... and now u r stuck with piece that cant be changed. gg bioware. intended change sucks.
#2 for 252 gear its not big issue because with few alts u get gear by doing dailys in 1-2 days. for 258 its gona suck cos it will go slower. again gg bioware

That's a terrible shame. I actually bought the game recently (I've been playing swtor for years and never touched a kotor game) and I'm sorry to admit that I'm having kind of a hard time getting into it. There are a few different reasons I suppose, but it sure wouldn't hurt if the game looked a bit, well, you all know what it looks like. Try to imagine how it looks to someone who's playing it the first time in 2018. I woulda used that mod in a heartbeat.
i completely understand. Iv finished it few times when it came out and it was (and still is) one of the best games i ever played. Than i downloaded it recently for good old times and i couldn't even get off taris cos of graphic etc. so its not about you its just...its old

Leia is Skywalker after all so her using the force is thing that is absolute must but not in that superman way. That was just...meh
Regarding Luke, i dont mind him being killed but way hes been killed and portrayed. I mind that hes beaten by Rey in stick fight and that Rey lectures him after that while his head is down like some youngling. I know some ppl say its more realistic to portray him like that with human flaws etc but this is a movie with laser swords and lifting rocks with mind powers so we dont need "human" flaws. We need fckin Jedi Master Luke Skywalker who will not abandon his sister and run on fckin island cos...to die? So no one can find him? And left a map? Lazy writing.. Picture this: Snoke (we saw he is extremely powerful) has cut off Luke from the force and he is on island trying to figure what is happening to him. movie goes as it goes. Snoke dies and Luke reconnects with himself and since he cannot make it in time he force projects himself....One small change would get his arc so much more satisfying. Im still hopeful that ep 9 will make sense in everything that happens in LJ and that i will get satisfaction like i had when i watched force awakens
Holdo..i will not even comment on that. Poe asks her abt plan and shes all like "i know your type flyboy hotshot bla bla" than she has a plan but dont want to tell anyone cos....reasons...lazy writing
Poe was ruined, from "thats one hell of a pilot" to...that. Poe and Finn bromance ruined. Finn ruined. Rose had good start with when she tasered Finn but that last scene with kiss and "saving what we love..." while everything is on fire around them fcked everything up
Lot of things in this movie sucks from Star wars lore perspective and is full of lazy writing. Hyperspace raming, force skype call (and apparently u can send even water trough it) magical indeed, Snokes background, knights of ren, fuel in spaceships,force gold dices that are...soild for some reason, BB8 killing 3 guards with coins, codebreaker!!!! only he can help you....and some random guy u found in a cell in exact same moment u needed him. Phasma, Yoda can shoot lightning from dead apparently (makes u wonder why he didnt do it in numerous occasions...), Ackbar, no lightsaber fight, Rey with no training can do whatever she wants, lifting rocks like nothing. That undermined whole Anakin training and apple on naboo scene for example.
Bottom line if you gona direct a movie that has 7 parts prior to yours YOU NEED TO OBLIGE TO SOME BASIC RULES! Rian did not. I still have faith that JJ is much smarter so he will do some miracle to undo this.

Ok guys, want me to really highlight how bad the scene with Ben and Luke is. Go watch this Video by Ivan Ortega. He is actually a film editor and he's doing his own fan re-edit of the movie.
Watch what he does to fix that scene.
If you've got the stones for it that is. Look at the very simple fix Mr Ortega does to fix that plot point. And to me if Rian Johnson had done this, Luke would of been a tragic hero instead of a psychopath and a coward.
Seriously go watch it. Tell me this minor change wouldn't of been better and wouldn't of built both Ben and Luke's story.
it wouldn't fix a damn thing. This movie is part of a greatest saga of all times and its written as standalone movie. Single edit cant fix that. Rian tried to do something new and failed. Maybe because some fans (those that cant be satisfied with anything) spoke badly abt TFA and that its New hope ripoff nonsense. He wanted something new. And it was bad. Critics can say what ever they want. He knows its bad. Everyone knows its bad. U can love it but u cant say its good. I love some bad movies and thats fine. Too many plot holes and inconsistencies with SW universe makes it bad.
His portrait of almost all characters was bad.

I made the topic to have a discussion about the movie, to hear what other people thought of it and compare our opinions. That's it, that's the only fact there is regarding that. As for not seeing it sooner, I don't know why you'd think I'm lying about only just seeing it, after all it legitimately released on Netflix the day before I posted this. You say you aren't making any assumptions but you continue to make them. You said I wasn't interested in seeing it earlier, I never said that. All I said was that after seeing all the negativity surrounding it I went in with low expectations. I wanted to see it when it first came out, I was actually very interested to see where it was going with how they ended TFA, however I refuse to go to the theater for any movie because around here it's $20 a ticket, then you factor in gas because the closest theater is about 30 miles away and it goes up to $25-$30 to see one movie, one time which is too high of a price to reasonably spend on a movie. Just isn't worth it to me. Then I heard it was coming to Netflix so I figured I could wait despite my want to see it. It's what I like to call control and it ended up saving me $20. So even though I may not be willing to drop whatever money I can on it or that I'm willing to wait to get a better deal, that doesn't mean I don't care about it. I just care more about not needlessly spending money on something I don't have to. I've always looked at the new Star Wars movies as they can do whatever they want so long as they don't retcon any of the previous movies to fit whatever they want to throw in. They can add all they want, kill whoever they want, change things in the present time that their movies take place, so long as they don't touch the other movies I'm fine. It's ultimately their right. I may not agree with some of their decisions and I'll point out the bs when I see it, otherwise it's theirs to do as they please. So that may be where our greatest differences lie.

Rian Jonson moved Kylos scar because looked "goofy". Scar that was made by JJ in Force Awakens less then 2 years ago. Because it was "goofy". To him. Even if it is ugliest scar ever LEAVE IT BECAUSE IT WAS MADE BY SOMEONE AND IT IS PART OF NARRATIVE NOW! if u look deeper u will see lot of bs in LJ that dont respect SW that was made for all of us
off topic: i watched After earth on Netflix month ago with lowest expectations ever cos of internet reviews and guess what, it was ok movie for me. I will not say its a good movie but i didnt find it repulsive as some and i had some fun watching it. so...lot of opinions and its perfectly fine to like a bad movie. But please dont try to tell urself that LJ is good SW movie. Good movie yes. Good SW movie. Hell no

I know what you said, I was just making the same assumptions you were by lumping you in with a broad generalization when I know absolutely nothing about you that I based off of one post you've made. Though I wasn't insulted by it, just figured I'd respond in the same manner you decided to post in.

Regarding you im not making assumptions. It is a fact that you put this topic for god knows what reason after you seen movie. (I still find hard to believe that you just saw LJ) but lets play along. That fact is that you had no interest to see this movie earlier, hence my "assumption" that you are not that interested in SW.
There is nothing to talk abt. It was bad movie. With bad plot and bad character development. Force Awakens set some story points and LJ failed to continue that story. It was outside of SW legacy and for that it is bad Star Wars movie. if it was standalone film than it would be great but as 7th part of big saga it was out of place. And there is nothing wrong in liking a bad movie. Hell i even liked last Transformers.

Well you aren't necessarily insulting but the way you present your argument may come off as rude towards the people who like the film, especially since you say that people who are deeply into Star Wars disliked it but people who aren't into it so deeply liked it. That's rather strong generalization.
cmon just read my post few above yours. Im not claiming that these are facts just expressing my pov. Ppl i know IRL or i play game with that are really into SW did not liked it (except one guy but hes sorc dps main so his opinion is irrelevant)

Ah so you're one of those people. Someone enjoys something you don't think they should and they're automatically not a REAL fan. Such a simple way of thinking. Well I won't go into my history with Star Wars because it's clear it won't make a difference. Though if you ever feel like coming off your pedestal and having a real discussion about the movie or the franchise as a whole without it spiraling into insults and attacks as it normally does with people who think theirs and anyone who agrees with their opinion are the only ones that matter (such as you), I'll be here.
Ah so ur one of those ppl. Who doesnt know how to read. I said u dont care much abt SW simply because u watched it in same manor i watched "Atomic blonde"....months after release. I dont see where have i insulted you

I don't think those sweeping generalizations hold up.
I've loved Star Wars since I was a toddler, and was a hardcore fan of the old EU (now "Legends) -- including the novels, comics, and video games -- for decades. But while I'm still annoyed that Disney didn't continue the Legends imprint as an "alternate universe" continuity in parallel with the new Canon (I still want that Sword of the Jedi trilogy, dammit), I have greatly enjoyed almost all the material they've put out in the new Canon as well.
Across either continuity, The Last Jedi comes in near the top of my favorites list -- certainly the best movie to come out since The Empire Strikes Back.

thats why i wrote "majority". Not all. If u liked it i envy you tbh. SW universe is something that we should all love. I saw TLJ 3 times in 24 hours. (Late night preopening and 2 times on opening day, all tickets bought months before premiere)

Finn? from cool guy in TFA he was underused in pointless Canto plot and forced romance with Rose.

Snoke? most powerfull sith we seen on screen? Just kill him. No one cares who he is and where he was this whole time

Story was full of plot holes such as fuel in spaceships, light speed ram and sacrifice of Holdo, canto bight horses rescue while children can stay slaves, master breaker that can get them inside ship. ONLY HIM! and one more guy in cell conveniently there..cos reasons....

People who dont care much abt SW (such as you my dear OP) liked Last jedi. Majority of fans who are deep into whole SW universe are between "i dont like it at all - i hate it"

I humbly disagree with your evaluations; TFA was extremely weak regarding way too many essential aspects and Rogue One was nothing more than a cheapo, a few merits aside. The artistic contribution of R1 is almost zero...
SW ... Episode VIII, TLJ was a mixture of an immense ... joke and a few strong, seductive points; essentially a very profitable garbage for (mindless) spectators and fans.
Like myself too?!? SOLO; a SW movie is really something else; this movie is a real contribution to the SW universe and also an essential contribution to the genre of action movies about runaways! Imho, that is..
ok..u and I look at movies very differently. I kinda dont look for artistic evaluations etc... TFA for me had moments that made it fun movie to watch, Snoke was presented like mysterious and cool looking old school sith lord, Rey with her powers made me believe that she is Revan like mind wiped, Kylo was cool and ending was best ending of any SW movie ever for me. That moment when Luke turns on ahch-to gave me chills and i wanted to see more asap!
R1 was also fun to watch with nice characters, good lore and great ending. i left movie very satisfied.
Last Jedi was pain to watch from 1st scene. Only good scene in that movie was praetorian guard fight until i saw that mistake with swords. And LJ failed only and ONLY because of Rian Jonson and his moviemaking genius. From visual side..i mean cmon moving Kylos scar because it looks "goofy"? So what if it looks like that! It was made by someone and it is part of SW now. DEAL WITH IT! Making Leia fckin Superman? Fuel in ships? Lightspeed ramming? Save space horses? Rose and Finn? Holdo keeping plan a secret cos...reasons? Rey like she got Master Datacron from Cartel market? Snoke, the most powerful force user we ever saw on screen, killed of like that? Ackbar? Phasma? Entire movie two lightsabers did not touch or clashed or whatever u call it. I will not even mention hermit Luke cos i will start cursing.
Bottom line is i can live with bad movie. If KK or Rian came clean at some point and said..sorry fans we ****ed up, we wanted to try something different bla bla... there would be no boycott or stuff like that i guarantee. But call us fckin names, racists, manbabies etc i just dont feel like its for me anymore. Im sure Solo is good film and im sorry that i cant enjoy in star wars like i used but it is what it is. My money is going somewhere else this time

No, we are gona deliver very good message that not everything that has SW logo sells. TFA was good R1 was also very good and Last Jedi was absolute garbage. So until they make good SW movie that pays respects to lore and its keys characters im spending my money elsewhere...except swtor sub thats different

After every possible thing i reverted to windows 7 and now i play 3840 X 2160 resolution with lowest fps at 70. Just posted this if anyone encounters similar problem.

My FPS in WZs never goes below 60, but usually sits between 90-110fps

Settings almost same, 3 differences...
I tried all recommended suggestions with settings found online.
Last night i overclocked, downclocked, played with wattman etc and i my friend suggested that i check my core clocks on MSI afterburner. I played one WZ with that on and saw that Core clock is droping even to 300mhz. That is when i have low FPS. Like the GPU is not recognizing that i need power. So switched to manual and set all stages to 1250mhz and i had improvement. Now fps will go down but not so drastically and not for that long. Was tired and went asleep. Gona tweak when i get back from work some more
@HarbingerIskatu GPU is awesome in other games bro (played Overwatch, Witcher 3 and latest Tomb Raider) but i wouldnt go for it for swtor

I have checked CPU usage with MSI afterburner and its usage never goes over 40%. And if it was an issue i think it would happen in other games aswell
Regarding thermal compound i have removed stock cooler and installed Cooler Master when i bought GPU last week so everything is new in that area. Lowering settings changes nothing

power is High performance and i monitored temps with wattman so its not an issue i think.
Graphic card is fine since i have great FPS at other demanding games just swtor gives me headache

Sorry for posting here but i dont believe that bioware can help me on this one.
I have upgraded my GPU from R9 270 to RX40 - STRIX, 8GB and now game is unplayable for me. I have tried all suggestions found here except returning to windows 7 (am at 10 now) like directX, GPU tweaks with power limit, turning off AA in game but turn it on on GPU settings.....its 5th day since i have this graphic and i cant play.
At fleet or at normal play zones i get 150-200fps but when im in combat (PvP especially) it drops to around 2 FPS for 5-8 seconds and than it picks back to 50 for some short time and than again drops to 2-4 FPS.
Other games like Witcher 3, or Tomb Raider are working great so hardware is fine
Rest of my specs are FX8320, 8GB DDR3, and SSD. With my old GPU i had no issues
Anyone had or heard about anything that might help me? Thx

Expertise is being removed from the game.
Any color crystals which have Expertise on them will be converted to a new type of color crystal – Mastery.
There is no longer an Expertise requirement to get into Ranked Warzones, this will be replaced with a Valor requirement.
PvE and PvP will share the same gear in Eternal Throne.
Crystals and Warzone Commendations will also be phased out in Eternal Throne, we will have more details on our conversion plans in the coming weeks.

-I play few clases, Jugg (all spec), Sorc (heal and madness), Sin (hatred and some deception) and not proud on my mara skill. For all classes above i have 208/augmented gear.
-My play time starts between 21h-22h.
-I can use pretty much any voicecomm (ts, discord etc...)
-I was always part of PvE guild (and officer in last year) so i always played solo in PvP but lately i felt like i was not in any guild at all so i quit with my pvp toons
