also im not sure if we still min/max gear by ripping mods/enhancements out of certain pieces of gearing and throwing it in our main sets if so what pieces are the best to buy for min/maxing. any info would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but I have tried to find a direct link to what exactly is the best and most efficient way of purchasing gear and what mods/enchantments purchased from what gear can efficiently maximize my grind to the best gear setup. if this has been asked I apologize, but I am returning to swtor and just hit 55. Had my carnage mara maxed out for pvp previously and was curious if someone could provide me with the most efficient gear purchasing path to optimizing myself for pvp. Thank you.

Mega did an extensive guide on this a while back, and it's still valid, but I'll give you the basics. Carnage and Rage are the same, stat wise, and you'll rarely ever play annihilation. You want power. As much as you can get. In the end, youre going to want to have 51 str / 39 power mods in every mod slot (or the slightly upgraded EWH equivalent), and the high power/surge enhancement in all but 1 or 2 slots. In those 1-2 slots, get high power/accuracy. You want to shoot for around 95% accuracy (this will boost you to 105% for all attacks except assault. More is not necessarily bad, but it is not as efficient as more power at that point. You can either go slightly under 95% with 94.67% i believe, using only 1 power/accuracy enhance, or you can go about 1% over, using two.
In short, get about 95% accuracy and then stack as much power/surge as possible. Crit can be largely ignored, as you will benefit more from power due to auto crit abilities in both rage and carnage spec.

Im sure there will be a cheaper option than the vindicator saber for remodding/enhancing. Last time it was Vindicator gloves (str / power mod) + force mystic gloves (high power / surge enhancement) to remod gear. I assume this time will be similar. Just find the two pieces that have those mod / enhancement equivalent. There is no single item that you can buy (at least to my knowledge) that has both the good mod and enhancement.
The mod/enhances are a small upgrade, only giving I think 1 point of str / end / power, or 1 point of end/power/surge. I think the armorings are the biggest upgrade to shoot for first.
Also, if you have been playing for the past few months (i understand that hte OP has not, just saying for others), you should have already gotten most of your new enhancements out of the vindicator offhand.

ok so it looks like it will be just like before. get the EWH vindicator 4 piece, than rip the mods out of the vindicator saber and min/max everything. Correct ?

ok since I have full WH weaponmaster I assume right away ill buy the WH vindicator with non-ranked comms and get the 4 set by ripping out the armoring. right away should I buy the EWH vindicator and use that or should I get the EWH weaponmaster and use the WH vindicator armoring with EWH weaponmaster? Sorry for asking, but I took a long break and was late to the min/max party.

When 1.6 launches is it still going to make sense to buy the vindicator sets and rip out the mods? I never did the vindicator min/max before since I already had a full WH set and never wanted to regrind. So when 1.6 comes should I just get all EWH vindicator?

ok so from what I have seen it is optimal to have around 75% surge 32-35% crit with 102% accuracy and whenever possible str/power added in? Please correct me if I am wrong or off my numbers

I run carnage also and have a pretty similar setup and stats. So I guess with carnage since most of our hits are big crits already we can sacrifice some crit % for more str/power/surge. However if you run an annihilation build you would want to jack that crit up and sacrifice some of the power/strength. Thanks for the info guys.

Thank you for the link. I have been told we should be aiming for 35% crit. Is 30% going to cut it or should I I swap out some mods for some more crit?
