  1. If I'm a DPS Op (concealment/lethality) and I can A. Have a burst heal or B. Heal a teammate in trouble, then it was a great thing. I don't have to go full support mode and HoT everyone. I'm not caring about HPS!

I'm a dps spec with access to excellent sustained offheals via kolto probe management, but i'm too lazy to keep probes up, so a 50% + heal is balanced.

Removing the bug was the right thing to do. Yes, now operatives could use something like a 20-30% self heal tacked on to the utility, but there are a lot of balance issues in the game at the moment and removing the bug asap clearly takes priority.

refer to link in sig if you still think hps wasnt completely retarded.

  2. nerf arsenal spec :

    - the 30% crit damage bonus

    - the blazing bolt while moving or the blazing bolt snare

and reduce/fix the trauma regulator's heal.

IO is fine, proof : 1/10 play it (or less)

If you're going to fotm reroll, why the **** would you play the slightly worse dps spec?

IO defensives are just as good, damage is competitive, no particular downside besides being dotspec & the ****** heat management.

Bodyguard is still subpar compared to sorc though, which is pretty mindboggling.

  3. A team of 4 sins will lose. A team of 4 snipers will win.

The problem is that although snipers have slightly higher potential, mercs are far easier to excel on. This is really the issue with merc cooldowns atm - not that they're necessarily powerful, which they undoubtedly are, but that they require no timing and very little thought.

  4. Absolutely nobody plays around enraged defense, or needs to play around enraged defense, in regs, reg arenas, or ranked arenas. The only situation where enraged defense is a relevant cooldown is duels. Mercs citing it as a precedent for attaching a 100k heal to a 40-50 second cooldown w/ hefty dr included blows my mind.
  5. The changes were really positive, on the whole. The kind of significant, yet carefully measured buffs that mercs should have got instead of 3 separate godmodes.

I shouldn't really complain after saying that, but these are the forums, so: changing the hardstun to weapon damage triggers me SO hard. It was infinitely better as a 4m tech damage ability.

edit: I'm 90% sure the snipe while moving utility is pretty garbage, at least in ranked. Maybe Virulence could scrape some value out if it.

  6. I'm fairly new to ranked, and have a few questions regarding rewards etc. and how best to obtain them.

The season 7 commendations don't seem to be transferrable across characters, so if you don't have a great deal of time on your hands to farm comms, is it advisable to do ranked across several characters or just focus on one?

I've also heard that at the end of the season a fair amount of additional commendations are awarded based on tier / ranking. Is this right? If so, is anyone able to tell me approximately how much I'd be able to expect?

As far as faction goes, last night I won 4 / 9 games on my hatred sin, and 4 / 5 games on my concentration sentinel. I'd say i'm equally skilled at both, so is this indicative at all of the faction balance on the red eclipse?

    Thanks.

  7. halfway through vid:

Actually some decent tips hidden away among the cc breaking roots (counted 3 so far, lol), clicking, backpedalling etc.

The rant about stealth's 'job' being to guard the pylon, on top of being obnoxious as hell, is pretty dumb - sorcs have 2 breakers, pts effectively have 5 / 8, and good marauders can delay very effectively with fear and camo.

No, it wouldn't. Not at all. Because imperial side would get an even more serious shift. Rep players will get harassed. They will get insulted because of how BAD they are. The so much better imperial side players will refuse to´"drag them through the game". Even more people will reroll imp side. In the end, everything will be 100 % imp.

Cross server = the dying out of the Republic side. Completely. Because the imperial faction is - across ALL servers - already roghly 80 % dominating. Republic players will be a minor nuisance, they will be collateral damage. They will get owned, facerolled by the so much better and so much more dominant imperial faction. There is no way out of it.

If the 'bad' pub players reroll to imp side, they will still be 'bad'. Hooray, both sides are equally bad, everything's evened out. Not that cross faction will get more people rerolling to imp side when sides would no longer hold any meaning for faction balance purposes.

Cross server =/= the dying out of the republic side. If pub players are a nuisance, they reroll imp according to you, and imps are also a nuisance.

However, I hope cross faction is not implemented, because it might mean I would be deprived of a certain daily dose of much needed salt. :rak_04:
