!We did discuss extending the event but unfortunately it is not possible in this instance. Tomorrow we have a back-end fix alongside a server restart to address the issue, extending the event would require a patch.

If its only a restart why can't it be done straight away. Give a 15 minute warning as per normal - count it down - shut it down and all sorted within an hour.
Seems like nothing can be done right these days. A nightlife event with no new items to be strived for and a full week of double cxp that lasts 6 days. Make that 5 as I'll be at Solo for one of them.
Anyway, do what you have to do - the sun is out and its not like I can't tear myself away from the game these days.
Seriously, it's such an easy fix and yet they're not doing it tomorrow.

Hey folks,
We discovered what was causing the issue and we have a fix for it. Unfortunately, it will require us to restart all of the game servers to address (it is not a patch). We are going to do this server restart tomorrow morning at 7:30AM Central, I will get maintenance messaging up shortly.

So instead of just doing it today when people actually expect it, you're doing it tomorrow and we more than likely won't even get compensation.
Do you guys even care about your player base at this point? That's a rhetorical question, don't answer.

Yeah, a good thing it doesn't run today when some of us have plans over the weekend because it's a holiday here in the U.S.

This just shows how inept the devs actually are. Not starting an event for another 5 hours when some of us don't have all day to play?
Seriously, do you guys not even care about your playerbase at this point? This is ridiculous.

When I say I'm looking for a guild, I don't mean one with only 5 people online at any given time. I'd prefer something active 10+ people. Right now I'm currently leveling an Assassin (Deception) but plan to make it a Tank at 70. I'd also be willing to level pretty much anything on Pub side as I still have a 60 boost left.
Don't have much interest in RP but I do have a heavy interest in PVE and have done all SM Ops aside from Gods of the Machine bosses.
Gearing up won't be an issue and leveling from scratch won't be an issue either. Even without 2x, I could get 70 within 5 days.

I was thinking of moving over a new character I was working on Ruffian Scoundrel and plan to heal and was curious if you guys were still recruiting. I know this is kind of an old bump but I'd appreciate knowing~

Really? I haven't seen anyone advertise other than RHG but I guess the big named guilds don't want to let random people in so it's understandable.
I really want to make a Pub alt and eventually main on that side but I also want to find a guild of people to play with. I find things more enjoyable on that side, specifically the daily heroics.

I've been playing on TEH for about a year now and have noticed a rapid decline in Republic side players. When I last logged onto fleet on a boosted 60 I used when KOTFE came out, I noticed there was only about 68 people. The Imperial side has double this at almost any given time (Save for the hours where everyone is offline)
Does the Republic side have enough people to do SM/HM Ops?
Yes I do understand this is a RP server on top of being PVE as well but I'm just curious if there are people out there on the Pub side that are active and aren't in completely dead guilds.

So would it be viable and Not to slow to level up as a tank? If so, I'd probably just do that.

So I have decided to make a Vanguard after realizing I'm not a big fan of Scoundrel. The lines are pretty funny, but gameplay wise I've never been a big fan of the Rogue archetype and when I tried Slinger, just.. bleh. I had a couple questions!
What tree would be better, leveling wise? No, I do not have any Presence from other characters (This would be the first I get to 55). I asked on the Reddit and everyone told me the tank one, but I feel like it would just be incredibly slow.
What would be the best companion? I'm thinking Elara when I get her, simply because she's a healer and could probably heal me through soloing most Heroic 2s if I keep her geared.
Best set of crew skills? I already have 2 characters with Cybertech and I really DO NOT want a 3rd. I was thinking of switching to tank later, so maybe Biochem/Bioanalysis/Diplomacy would be best?
What race is YOUR Vanguard? (I know, not really IMPORTANT, but I'm asking anyway). The one I'm making is Human, or possibly Mirialan.. I haven't decided yet being that I haven't even made it.

I'm new to Sorc and have no idea what is better for leveling. Most guides I have found seem to be incredibly out-dated and just unhelpful.
Which do you guys feel is better for leveling? I plan on using Khem until I get Xalek (I'd use Ashara but I'm told I'd die a lot because she's not actually a tank) and was looking for something that won't starve me for Force as much.

Did /who in game but you weren't on. My internet has been acting goofy lately and your website isn't loading, A LOT of websites aren't loading for that matter.
I'm on the Pub side, leveling my.. 10th toon or so (First one I haven't deleted)

A latency fix for the small percentage of us that are having problems.
Other than the fact that every 3 minutes I go to 1k+ ping, I enjoy the game.

I played the Mass Effect series extensively and from memory, I'm fairly sure that same-sex romance only became a reality with ME3, not before.
FemShep receiving a lap dance from Kelly doesn't count and Asari are mono-gendered.
They had originally planned for Kaidan to be a same sex romance in Mass Effect but never actually added it. So yes, you're correct in saying same-sex romance only became an option in ME3. Even then you only had Cortez, Kaidan and Traynor.
I don't see what the big deal is though. If you want more options, play a character of both genders and experience it all :/

How about a fix for the severe latency issues some people are having? It all started in 2.8a and has been terrible ever since.

It's far better at night. BioWare needs to figure out what the hell is going on. It SKYROCKETS during the day but at night it's at a steady 100.

I've been getting it at all times of the day. As I said, I called my ISP and NOTHING is wrong on their end. I've gone as far as getting a new wireless adapter as well.

Since Friday, I've had nothing but severe latency spikes no matter where I went. I've asked on multiple maps if other people have been experiencing it and they have said the same thing. No matter where you are, it seems like it happens. I first noticed it on Nar Shaddaa and thought it may have been because of the casino crap, but once I moved to the Fleet after along with Tattooine, I was noticing it still showing up.
I have called my ISP and asked if it was possibly something on their end and they told me everything checked out fine.
My Stealth should NOT take 3 seconds to active after I hit the hot-key. It shouldn't take me 4 seconds to mount up.
Has anyone else here on the forums been witnessing any of this or am I just going crazy?

So ever since Tuesday when 2.8 finally hit, I've been getting odd latency spikes here and there.
Now, I don't mind going up to the occasional 170, as long as I can stay below 200 but I'm STILL at certain times hitting well over 400.
Now, before anyone says something about it just being the server I'm on, I have checked other servers too (Currently on The Harbinger, have checked Jedi Covenant and POT5) and I'm still getting it. I just recently bought a new Wi-Fi adapter and called my ISP to check if they were having problems. Nope, everything on MY END checks out completely fine.
Now I know the transition issues among others were further up on the TO FIX list but still, I've been in Fleet chat and have seen others with the exact same issues. It tends to get WORSE when I'm on Nar Shaddaa (Which I can't leave because ya know, that's where I'm currently questing) so.. .-.

So, as of patch 2.8 I know all these random problems have been going on.
Getting stuck in area transition, the inability for some people to queue up for anything BUT my question is, does anyone else have problems with these odd latency spikes?
I'll be sitting fine at 105 and all of a sudden it shoots up to 450. I NEVER had problems like this before the patch and was just wondering if anyone has been experiencing similar problems.

Your website doesn't seem to be loading for me, my internet has been a bit goofy since we had a power surge the other day, but I'm still able to log in and play.
After doing /who, I couldn't find any of the members listed for the Republic side, so I'll continue to check throughout the day.

I'm somewhat of a newer player (Have only been playing a week stretched across 3 or 4 different characters).
I'm just looking for a somewhat active guild. (It seems like the server has a lot, but they seem to never have a lot of people online. I'm not sure, I've only ever been in one on an Imp character)
I tend to keep to myself in guild chat, but it's nice to just read the friendly chatter. Voice programs are always a nice bonus too. Sometimes it's better than just sitting and listening to music.
I'll be actively looking at these forums.
Also to note, I am a subscriber~
2x XP & CXP does not work.
