You've always been able to log in with your display name. They simply made it so its no longer possible to log in with email(probably cause of phising and such).

 

One of the most constructive answers I've seen. Thank you sir. Though I don't remember being able to always login using the display name, but I have also not paid attention to that. But the phishing thing makes sense I guess if they are emailing multiple people and you respond they would get your address.

Well, then don't waste time asking questions that have been answered ad nauseum. If you can't spare the time in your oh so important duties to do the bare minimum research (Dev tracker works wonders), then you aren't really worth the time to answer.

Please for the love of god someone tell me how on earth it increases security to change the way we login to the game? I mean think about it, unless someone already hacked my account or I tell them, noone will know my email address. Now all of a sudden my login name is my display name which is shown to everyone?? Ok now you already have half of my login information!

I love how their system works now, you do get your full deposit back if it doesn't sell, and i like how the deposit is based on your asking price.

 

 

Honestly i think we should only get half of our deposit back it will reduce some of the crazy prices people put up stuff for.

From what I have seen, orange belt/bracers are very rare and have a high demand. That is where your really high price comes from

What are they supposed to do about it? block people from rolling empire from time to time? prevent people from choosing what they want to play? It all has to do with the player base always wanting to play the "bad guy"

Because allowing access to the game earlier for some than others feels like favoritism (for who?) The people that had the money/sense to pre-order earlier than later.

 

I know this isn't Bioware's intention, at all. But this is why I think people are upset, it feels like you're allowing some people exclusive private servers leaps and bounds above and beyond the "normal" pre-orderer.

 

Me? I ordered mine 2 days ago, I have no delusion that I will get in early. If I do, awesome. if I dont get to play until 11:59 on december 19, then I wont be surprised, and am not really losing anything.

 

People treat these few days (a full calendar week! OMG!) Like it will be a decade of grinding EQ AA's and that there will be absolutely no way in the world to recover from this elite head-start the Dec 13'ers will have.

 

Guess what, when you are server first level 50, you stay that way doing next to nothing for a solid month before enough people are also 50 that you can do anything other than gank. No pvp, no dungeons, no raids, you just be 50 alone.

 

Really? Not true for me, I know for some this may be the case, but for me I feel like I'm getting the **** end of the stick. I preordered in august, best buy's ****** system sent me a USED code. I spend a few weeks calling and emailing trying to get a new code. No response from anyone. Finally I contact bioware about this issue...3 weeks later they finally respond to my email asking for a screenshot. another couple days and I finally get a replacement code and register it for the middle of OCTOBER. So I lost 2 months for an issue that was NOT my fault.

 

Furthermore, I keep hearing of people getting in that preordered in NOVEMBER and yes even DECEMBER. Yet I still have no invite.

 

Go figure! I got the **** end of the stick for beta never got an invite until the last one or 2, and now I'm getting the **** end of the stick for the early access. Nice!
