My first set of boxes gave me some pretty cool crystals that I'd never have bought on the GTN (white is way too expensive there) and Revan's Reborn mask, so pretty happy, latter boxes included XP boosts (BoP of course) on level 65 characters. So yeah, the rewards of the event shouldn't be things that you litterally cannot use in any way shape or form. I'm fine with weapons on the wrong characters, at least I can unlock those with collections, but the XP boosts I find almost offensive.

I have run it since 4.0 dropped, although but not in the last few weeks.
Has something changed on it? Or are people simply unfamiliar with the mechanics?
The earlier post seems to refer to the Colonel Daksh fight. Early on in the life of this game (before people could be overleveled for that particular flashpoint), it was always vitally important to duck behind the crates during his laser optic phase. I've had plenty of one-or-two-shots during that fight whenever someone would fudge the LoS.
Rescaling it to 65 seems to have brought back some of the earlier importance of that mechanic.
As a case in point, when I ran that particular flashpoint with some newbies a couple of months ago, 3/4 of the group promptly died the first time he had his laser optics out. A brief explanation of the mechanics in chat, then another go at it. That time one of the group members died, but the remaining three were able to finish the fight.
YMMV.
Yeah something has changed, he is hitting for 40K/hit and multiple hits per second OUTSIDE of the charged phase where you are supposed to hide. I've had several groups of experienced players (on new toons) give up due to dying less then 5 seconds into the fight. That isn't working as intended and is really driving many of the new players in my guild to never use GF or not try tacticals at all.

Hell, D3s seasonal challenges are far harder (no support at all from non-seasonal characters) than this and really popular. I'll admit I've been taking a 8 month or so break from the game and this event convinced me to return, at least for the duration.

If you use Gmail, check your promotional tab, that's where I found mine, spam filter is a bit too aggressive apparently.

Since 4.0 launched (well after this thread originally happened), all heroics are now weekly missions, that reset on Tuesday morning (US time anyway).

This is not a bug, the crafting (and anything else without an infinity sign next to it is non-repeatable and is limited to once per LEGACY, not character. I know, I had frustrations with this myself my first time at conquest. I really wish everything were tracked per character instead.

I dont understand end game community anymore. How is it suppose to grow and thrive when everyone gets mad at the new guys trying to learn? Then they complain that raiding is dying in this game, duh, you killed it!
^ This right here.

1. Armormech is not showing any schematics for anyone who leveled from 1 (insta-60s seem to be fine though)
This is not the case for me, I have a level 33ish (somewhere around there) armormech who still had all their schematics, obviously not an instant 60. Given the amount of bugs here I'm sure some people are missing those, but I don't think it is tied to insta-60 or not.

Couple of datapoints: None of my crafters were affected and I never had the war hero schems, so more credence to that theory. Good luck all!

If it is a typo (and I'm hoping/assuming it is) it isn't on Dulfy's end, check out the patch notes.

Get over yourselves.

This is a sign of a connection issue, happens to me when I'm on really crappy internet and/or my laptop with a crappy wireless card. But yeah, I know what you mean by invisible walls. This isn't likely an installation issue, I can almost guarantee it is the connection, mouse over the signal strength in the lower right corner to see your ping.

Strikes capping faster seems thematically weird to me. If something caps sats faster than other classes I'd prefer that that go to scouts, who would also get some sort of dog-fighting nerf, strengthening strikes in comparison.

3rd option if solo leveling: Darkness in DPS gear. Only a slight DPS loss and huge survivability, one of my favorite solo specs. Don't ever take it into a FP though...

I have a feeling that the OP is referring to KotFE, which also uses the term chapters.
-
The problem I see with that theory is that if a bomber is hiding around a satellite then wouldn't they frequently be able to LoS Missile locks?

I was reading through a few forum posts, however the latest one was from early last year, it said "Harbinger" was the best PvE server, is this still the case?
yes, although I have also had good experiences with Jedi cov. Harb is by far the most populated though.

He does tag it end game schematics, they are not called patterns in this game.

You don't. Your legacy includes all characters on this server. You can turn off the legacy name from the character window, or delete the character, but you can't have more than one legacy on a server or a character that is outside your legacy.

2-3 reactions like this are why I've decided to never do OPs. There shouldn't be required reading for a video game.

The thing that annoys me about the tactical version is that they forgot to add kolto stations to the bonus boss, so you really do NEED at least an off-healer to do it. You can skip it, so not FP breaking, but really annoying.

So as someone who has been trying GSF for a few months now and only recently mastered a second ship, I feel like part of the problem is an illusion of chance. If I'm fighting a scout and get blown away I am left thinking that they outflew me and I had a chance to get them. With GS I was frequently confused as to how I died and felt there was little to nothing I could do about it. Basically Gunships are less interactive than the others which I feel is a bad thing. As I started figuring out tactics to counter gunships I started dying to them less, but it is a different set of skills/habits than for any of the other ship types by quite a fair margin. So while gunships ARE counter-able, to the new player the don't FEEL counter-able, which leads to a high incidence of rage-quits. I know that after I got really into GSF I tried to get a bunch of my friends into it as well, and 4 of them tried it, 3 of them quit forever after one match with 6 gunships. Gunships are probably the least newbie-friendly aspect of GSF, and as a struggling mini-game that's an issue.

That fall they re-worked the XP amounts after 12x ended. Now things will be a little slower at the starter planet (not going straight from 3-7 on one mission turn it without seeing 4,5 or 6), but overall faster even than the 12x was. Do the starter planet and you will likely be 14ish, run your capital planet and you'll be 18-20 Basically just doing the class missions plus a weekly run of the heroics on the first 2 planets (by far the easiest/quickest) will keep you well ahead of the game.

So I think you are confused as to what "Bonus" people are referring to. When talking about gear bonus they mean the set bonus from having 2/4/6 pieces from the set for your class. These bonuses are tied to the armoring component of specific pieces that can be aquired in the following ways:
204-208 From PvP vendor for WZ Comms.
216: Drops from SM Operations
220: Drops from HM OPs
224: Drops from highlighted OP and soon, from Nim OPs
Other than the PvP ones you need to actually run the content to get the drops.
I hope this helps.
