  1. You're a wizard - wizard being that goofball expression used in TPM that everyone hates. So now, you're what people think of when they hate.

I wish I had a Krayt dragon pearl in real life.

Granted, but you get a subliminal thought to swallow it, you swallow it, choke and die.

I wish I had a kings throne made out of solid emerald.

  2.

Thanks those links were awesome, told me all the info I wanted to know. So according to this programming is not needed.

Thanks a lot, now I'm going to start self teaching myself because the colleges require a portfolio.

  3. Granted, but you receive the check upside down and accidentally drop it into the center of a pentagram. Mistaking it for a "666", the devil appears and brutally murders your character.

I wish I had 180 Set Bonus gear.

    (LOL! good one)

Granted but Zeus appears out of nowhere and says "Only I can be that powerful!" and you go completely mad because you never know Zeus existed and the initial shock.

  4. Wish granted. The Jedi, however, forgot to ask for seats on those bicycles. Watch out for bumps.

    I wish

    .

Granted but Skee-Lo goes to alcoholism.

I wish I had 999 billion credits ingame.

  5. I hated even typing that title. I love SWTOR. I have been here since prelaunch. But I must admit that for some strange reason I think I might at least try Titan.....and I think a lot of you would too.

Ok so go ahead and bash me...

I don't know what Titan's current fate is but last I heard it's dead and all of it's resources were being diverted to WOWs next expansion.

So don't get your hopes up it's like dead.

  6. see if you can get some details on what they want to see specifically in a portfolio. schools usual have parameters that they are willing to share.

that said... and this is from being acquainted with some of the people in a business, while you do want to specialize, you also want to have active knowledge of other aspects of video game related art. it increases your chances of being hired, if you can pitch in outside of your specialization.

also bear in mind. its a highly competitive field. and stressful one, especially during crunch times.

I don't care it's truly my passion and I enjoy art of course I'd have to learn the software. But the biggest challenge I think is going to be building my portfolio and getting into a college, my 21st birthday is in two weeks and I'm going to be middle aged by the time I get accepted to a college LOL! :p

Wish me luck and thanks for the help.

  7. So I've found something I want to study in college video game art, SWTOR was a big part of my inspiration to pursue this I admire all the beautiful art that the Bioware team comes out with both concept art and ingame, of course it could very easily take many years to be as good as them but it's a field I'm very interested in.

I've been browsing colleges I want to do the game art course online but all of them I looked at require me to have a portfolio of the digital art, problem is that I have no experience I can't make game art for a portfolio I have no skills for.

Are there any online colleges that provide training without a portfolio? How do I get skills and experience when all of the training is at the college but need experience to make a portfolio to get into the college?

I really don't know where to start, any help and advice would be appreciated, thanks.

  8. Next time? They've had several east coast and european events in the past already. Don't miss them when they do it again. :p

Yeah, so what else is new, hehe. I've been living in SoCal for 36 years, even when we've had a sh*t ton of rain they still tell us we're in a drought. They don't expect people to travel to cantina events from other states, but people will be in town because of Comic-Con.

There's a reason why things like this exist...Florida is America's Wang, man. You don't want to live in the wang.

    :D

The Orlando area has a good sized video game culture here, there's video game colleges here Full Fail, Dave School, etc, a nice handful of development studios around the Orlando area even EA Tiburon and Artix Entertainment is here (well Artix is over next to Tampa but within arms reach). But we rarely have any events here because nobody wants to take the risk.

I'm originally from Los Gatos California and I got out of there because it's expensive and it still is I've heard.

  9. Lol, nothing in the actual city burned, it was the brush in the suburban outskirts.

Yeah, the humidity in FL is so thick it would just put a fire out before it starts. :p

Yeah I was kinda joking but California is going through a major drought and water shortage and it's very expensive. Florida is affordable and lots and lots of humidity here I love it. But I wonder why California gets all the good events even Star Wars celebration just moved there from Orlando but now we got nothing.

  10. Okay, but why? What would having free space get you? You just fly around until you run out of fuel? What is the point of free space supposed to be?

Exp, space quests, space heroics, space flashpoints, space combat, there is a lot of things that can be put in free space. And would attract more players to SWTOR.

Why shouldn't it be in the game? What would not having free space get you?
