  1. I didn't realize it until I started doing the Star Fortress quest, the quest to get voss reputation is gone. How am I supposed to get reputation now? If I would have known they were removing this I would have done it before 4.0. Thanks for the heads up, it's not like I wanted to be able to get those rep items anyway.
  2. So, even with the 12x I still queue for the daily 20 comm kuat. I got a group with 3 "tanks" and I as a dps. The bickering that followed was some of the most ridiculous I think I have had in a kuat, for at least a long while. It is also pretty funny, so I SS it and decided to share. :p

Backstory: One of the tanks wanted to main tank (green), but the other 2 kept taunting off him and kiting the boss halfway across the map. He understandably got annoyed and tried to vote kick the one who was also BM'ing (red). I decided, I would be nice and not vote to kick. Big mistake. Eventually, the other player (blue) thought it would be funny to kick the "Main tank". The one BM'ing didn't like my comments so he started to grief the fight intentionally (wasting health consoles, I was soloing the boss, while the other one was just doing baddie things, at least he was trying, I think, though.

  3. ATTENTION : MINOR SPOILERS

    Hello,

I have read it before, but now I read it here as well :

This further gives me proof that the Republic side isn't tested at all.

    Why ?

Because there is one point on the Republic side where this is a very bad move in terms of both immersion and story :

    It's The Works. On Coruscant.

Having to go through it really feels like an Rite Of Passage. You go into it like a small, unexperienced fighter - and get out of it to as an much more experienced fighter who has gone through some sort of hell. And "hell" almost literally.

And after finishing this Rite Of Passage, there is even a special reward ! It's the Jedi Temple !

So, from the point of view of

    - immersion

    - story ( because EVERY class has to go through this hell ! )

    - emotional impact ("when are we there ?")

this taxi connection to the Jedi Temple - which can ONLY be accessed through the end of The Works ! - should have never been unlocked immediately.

This kind of unlocks destroys both immerstion and the emotional impact of having to go through this special kind of hell / going through this special Rite Of Passage ( literally ) and - imho - makes the game to an fast-hopping game, so to say.

Besides, regarding Belsavis I like the "instant unlock" - as I call it.

But not for Coruscant. Or for the starter planets. It takes away far too much "story feeling" and immersion.

And to story players, immersion is what counts - imho.

    Alrik

 The works? I go through there all the time before ever completing the story, because I do the heroics. I also don't level traditionally, so that may be another reason, but please discrediting this new implementation over "immersion" is just ridiculous.
  4. Exactly ever since 3.0, I don't even bother anymore. What is the point. I don't quit out of Operations ever, but yes if one person dies or there is one wipe (it was like that before 3.0 too, but less occurrences in my experiences), everyone just decides "Okay, f**** it let's /leave". The operation is scrapped from then on. I like that the content is difficult and takes coordination to complete, but it is too much for some people. I think my pessimistic attitude since 3.0 has alienated some people I know, who just wanted to do content.. But when I am right that we aren't going to get past second boss because one person rage quits, EVERY SINGLE TIME, I am right.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... "go join a guild that runs the content". I don't want to I like the guild I am in, I like the people in it, why should I quit just because I want to occasionally do some PVE content a couple times a week? I remember before 3.0 (and before 16m gf), when I would log in and look every single night for a PUG operation (which were actually going on every night) on fleet. Those were the days.

They should bring back 8m gf (At least on PvP servers), make operations easier if you use GF to find it (with some safeguards in place from premade's etc. from abusing it), or just something to revive this part of the game.

  5. The new operations are too difficult to PUG, for most randoms on fleet. 16 players is too hard to form (at least on the pvp server(s)). Old operations have no reward for doing them (Except chance of decorations).

16m GF did not fix the supposed people forming premade on fleet then queuing for rewards + bolster, so I don't know what they were expecting. Ever since 16m Republic side, at least on my server, has gone down the drain. Nobody does anything anymore. When people do do anything it is a closed (coordinated) guild run. Don't expect to PUG anything anymore (except for MAYBE flashpoints). Those days are over.

Republic side is dead on my server, if you are playing on a pvp server, or thinking of playing that. I wish it wasn't so, but it is. It looks like I will have to go back to my roots if I want a chance to do anything other than level characters. People don't queue gf operations anyway, even on Imperial side. If I didn't like the option of open world PvP I would transfer.

  6. Don't you mean bolstered up; as in higher bolster rating? I'd agree compared to previous patch if you were running 156 PVE gear, which was pretty close to the Brutalizer rating and you would still be bolstered to around 1920 Expertise and about 90% health
Well, their pve gear rating would need to be lowered as well. Either way people have to use old gear to have a good bolster in level 60 wz (if they are wearing PVE).
  7. The amount of expertise given for players in PVE gear (in 60 pvp warzones at least) is laughable. About 1000 I have seen is the average. Yes, I understand those players shouldn't be pvping in their pve gear, but since the new basic gear is 186 pretty much everyone will have it. No, this bolster does not apply to me either I have full PvP gear. The issue is all my teammates end up doing nothing in warzones, and the team suffers as a result ( I guess the same could apply for the enemy team too). PvP bolster needs to bolster down closer to a person wearing pvp.
  8. ^This when you outlevel missions the only thing that is 'lost' is the standard xp , you still get xp it is just lowered to near nothing usually 6 points.

Some of the bonus objectives like on section x give only xp and when you go over a certain level you won't be given anything for the bonus objective but the main mission will still give you credits and comms.

If your intent is to level simply by doing content way under you 6-7 is about the cut off then you'll get 6xp for them like we do now plus whatever their item/comm/credit rewards are.

Okay, that is cool. I think some of the bonus on Section X give credits (other than the staged 3).
  9. I hadn't thought about it, but about half of our current dailies at level 60 after 3.0 hits we will be at least 7 levels over. Such as Section X, part of Makeb, Black Hole. Are those old dailies going to still give a monetary reward? I'm sure things such as the weekly you would still get the comms, but no money? Are we going to get replacements for the dailies lost if those quests no longer give a monetary reward with the new expansion planets? (I'm sure we probably will, but are they going to be as easy to do as old dailies? Or are they going to be like Makeb that takes forever to finish?)
