The Ilum one? Was hoping there was a shorter story mission that just involved the flashpoints.
-
Is there any quest for both these flashpoints, like Call to Arms or Trouble in Tion Hegemon, since they're kinda together?
-
Sting is the least ugly imperial ship
-
I think there there should be war zones with Assassins against Assassins ONLY.
It would be a learning experience for everyone in it.
Well... almost
-
Haters gonna hate.
POT5 is the place to be for great GSF PVP, why settle for anything less on another server?
-
Asteroids and satelites kill me more than the enemy does...
-
Have to say, while your scouts aren't bad, bastion seems to have better gunships by a... long shot:cool:
-
Figured ground pvp have it that gives ranked comms, how about ranked GSF matches that reward you with fleet reqs instead of ship reqs?
-
40k damage and 17 kills is "average" for a good player, I consider myself to be a pretty good pilot, a damn good one when I'm piloting a Sting and while I can't "one-shot" a gunship with a cluster I can bring them down pretty fast.
-
Short answer: They can't, unless the gunship is already damaged.
-
Lol on of the best games I'm have was when I had three scouts chasing me the entire match trying to keep me away from the gunships and get cluster missile lock on me, think I died twice that game, never before have I used the key 3 so many times during 10 minutes
-
As an avid user or cluster missle (as the people on POT5 might have noticed ) I too have noticed that the lock on timer seems to be longer than 1.3 sec, if I'd have to guess it's around 1.4-1.5 and it's most likely because of latency.
-
So Imps not only coordinate to play Fotm ground classes in arenas now, they also want to play fotm space ships as well?
This is a callout to pubs on POT5, where did you get imps from? And there are FOTM ground classes on both sides, I was in three warzones in a row against the same group of two tactics/shield specialist vanguards and two sawbone scoundrels...

The only good use I've found for my striker is defending, a middlething between scout and gunship.
Concussion missies and heavy laser at 7000m, scouts should be halfway to dead before they even come within reach with their lasers.
-
I don't think strike fighter needs a buff, the problem is the ship is totaly uninteresting.
People that like to stay out of the main fight and sniping use gunboat, people that like speed and dog fights use scout. The fighter is the middle ship and thus have no specialty, making it very bland and boring.
-
You may change your mind about that, we didn't lose a single match in 2 hours.
Obviously this must have been during me sleepy time
-
You do know that you can fly in more than just a straight line, right?
Unless I'm the only one circling a node, if a gunship hit me and I see where it is, I turn into a *********** hornet and hunt that gunship down untill it's dead
-
I've had people calling me cheater too, "how could you survive all those shots hitting you?!" when really it's all about evading and using the abilities you are given.
Only ignorant people cry "hax" about things they don't understand instead of making an effort of learning the game mechanics...

Algerôth here
It's good you pubs get together, too many matches are imp vs imp.
-
Greates: I was up against the guys I usually group with, meaning they're damn good and they'll probably focus me because they know I'm good too, but somehow I was in the zone! Even tho I had probably three scouts on my six trying to get a missile lock on me, and a gunboat trying to snipe me, I managed to get out of every situation and at the same time win the match and be on the top of the score board.
Funniest: I was guarding a node and doing it successfully because these three guys kept coming at me ignoring the other nodes. After a while the got smart and came at me all together instead of one and one. First guy is a little bit ahead of the rest and come straight at me so I pop BO and DF, blow him up and he leaves a cloud or dust right infront of me and the node then a cascade of laser shots is coming my way and I just keep firing my lasers even tho I don't see them but it turns out the don't see me or the node either thanks to the smoke so with full speed then fly right past me and suicide into the node

I use skadge, vector, treek & 2v-rb
Skadge for copilot because of bypass
-
I don't care how the matchmaking works. As long as there are people who still think coming to a complete stop is a good idea.
Love burning those guys down.
it IS a good idea, given the right circumstances.
Not only does it nullify your tracking penalty, but the idiot shooting at you usually come in a straight line, allowing me and my distortion field + blaster overcharge to smoke him and possible another fool before I have to take off again.
Yes, I've done this many times, and people don't learn...
-
That suggestion is almost as bad as the joke thread lol.. bad pilots need to be reminded they are bad, by dying to good pilots.
I agree, if I don't get atleast 15 kills a match, how am I going to feel good about myself.
-
You clearly don't know how to get reqs. Instead of 3 caping let the other team get a node with 1-2 turrets then take it, dog fight untill they take another node then take that and so on.
That way, together with kills, assists & damage I get easily 1000+ reqs each match.
Stealthers, please stop throwing hypergates

Kinda up to the stealth to deside, if he's smart.
If you're in a good group you take take both pylons and count on your team mates to help defend them, if you're in a bad group it's better to wait untill it's only 40-30 seconds left on the round and defend it yourself untill time runs out.
