  1. I have played this boss battle for 8 times before and had no problems with Sonya in healer mode, but EA changed something and now it is the toughest battle I agree. Why didn't EA just leave it alone. AS a work-around, I have been grouping with another 70 and the battle is no problem.
  2. This same thing is happening to me. For 16 characters, I had no problem, now on 121/01/2018 the companion gets killed within 1 minute and I am dispelling the cloud with EMP properly. The difficulty of this battle has been ramped up tremendously. I have my companion in healer mode and she is a level 25 which should be a calk walk (like my previous 16 times). The dev team has definitely changed the difficulty and Story mode is acting like Veteren or Master. Has any other person experienced this lately? Also I had a skytrooper with me when I started the battle, but he disappeared after it started. (Bug?)
  3. I didn't have any other boosts except for legacy boosts (10%). My error appears to be the base I'm getting now. Since the average of a quest is 20 cxp, not 70 cxp, the math fits.... Thanks. I wasn't aware of a global 250% boost being in effect since the 5.x releases. I always saw 70 cxp in the box as long as I could remember....then when I bought all 5 legacy perks, it went to 72...so much for memory. Thanks again for math and when is the global 250% bonus to all quests going to end? I repeat that I only have the legacy perks, not any bonus from anywhere else.
  4. The logic for Legacy Command Improvements which is 2,4,6,8,10% doesn't seem to be working properly. The average quest returns 70 CXP. When adding all 5 Legacy improvements perks, the total is only 72. That doesn't seem correct. 1% of 70 is 0.7 cxp....10 % should be 7 not 2. The perks are very expensive to buy. Getting 2 cxp on a base of 70 as a bonus is not fair. Thanks for any input and an explanation....
  5. Casual gamer - big job - big family = not much time

in version 4 you delivered a casual gamers dream. I ran heroics, completed flashpoints, died a few times, finally felt that I deserved to hold a lightsaber rather than cowering in the corner in comparison to the full time keyboard jockeys with their epic gear and condescending requests ("only join my op if you are fully geared up and know when the f you're doing").

you made a game I loved again... you provided entertainment that made me rush home from work to play...

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt... I'll try how it is now with the reduced companion stats and abilities, but rest assured, you had it right the first time. For one glorious month, you had it right...

My sentiments exactly. I have had more fun than I can remember in 4.0. I have been boring my friends to tears with accolades and trying to get them to join me....now I'm ashamed. I've got to eat my words and tell them to forget it. When word of this screw up hits the airwaves and no new subs are forthcoming,, someone EA big shot is going to kick some SWTOR developer but!

  6. I was able to beat best on Oricon just by interrupting in in 2.5 patch in 148 gear, and every time untill 4.0 . I will try to so so abaind just to see waht is the situation now.

I just tried my Trooper and he killed beast as fast as he used to. Problem is with my Jedi Shadow not being able to fight a melee fight with it. Something has changed with him. I'll try another melee fighter and see if he has the same problem.

Update: Just tried my Jedi Knight and beast went down pretty easy as well. Question is still why was Jedi Shadow so different, I tried 3 times on Jedi Shadow and couldn't get beast down below 50%....I'll try again later and see if there is anything else I can do. Somethings changed with that class....lol

  7. I've just read all 7 pages of this thread and I think it's clear that most people think the nerf was too much. Some people are hard core and want a challenge in all aspects of the game, others want to run through a story and kick a little booty along the way. Both extremes are not healthy to BIOWare's financial future. Nor will they satisfy the average user. So I'll throw in my two cents as follows:

Before this patch, on my 65 Jedi Shadow (208/216), I could battle the Oricon Corrupted Bothrium Beast fairly easily by interrupting it. My companion would kill the adds and I killed the beast. Usually within 2 interruptions. I tried that today, and died repeatedly. I used the same rotation and couldn't get it down to 50% before I died. I think it is clear that more nerfing has gone into this release than just the companions. Or I didn't realize how much I depended on my companions. Before the patch, I never lost more than 25% of my health and killed it within 2 interruptions. Now I cannot kill the beast. I don't see the advantage to this much regression in game play on past content. I also, don't want to have to pair up with another gamer for such a trivial task, but the way it is, I'll have to. I'm sure you hard core gamers think that's silly, but I don't know what else to do. If this doesn't change, the game is no fun for me and I'll look elsewhere for my entertainment.

Updated: Ran my Trooper and he killed beast as fast as he used to. Problem is what happened to my Jedi Shadow and melee fighting...

  8. This is embarrassing, but I can no longer beat the commanders in Oricon. I used to beat them with half a bar left, but now I get beat 75% of the time. And when I win it is by the skin of my teeth. I don't mean to be whining, But I'm an item class 192 with a 198 item and shouldn't be having these problems. Anyone else notice this?
  9. I just ran my Consular through his dailies on Yavin 4 and noticed that I've been taking way more damage than I used to. I used to take a maximum of 25% damage on these npcs, now I'm taking 75%. I haven't changed rotation or armor. Has the Consular been ninja'd or am I having a brainFart.... What could have changed?
