  1. It was obvious from the start that — despite the name — the ’eternal’ alliance would be temporary.

It was always a temporary alliance between all parties concerned with toppling Zakuul. And when our PCs became the most powerful persons in the, the stort had climaxed and there wasn’t anything left to do.

The alliance had to die for the story to progress in any meaningful way whatsoever. It was obvious from the start and even more so when we acquired the throne.

On a subjective note I am glad tge Kotfeet nonsense is over.

  2. wondering if its allowed? played with 2 bad trolls if they can be called that who kicked me out of battle of rishi fp because i wasnt a stealth class and didnt hack. refused to help me kill the mobs that were in the way

Skipping mobs and stealthing isn’t hacking by any means whatsoever.

What happened here most likely: The group wanted to skip mob packs in Rishi, which you can do without stealth, but OP decided that he wasn’t much of a teamplayer and pulled every mob pack. The majority in the group simply had enough with OPs narcissisms and kicked him.

There’s not even a hint of troll, hacks or otherwise bad scent from anything except the OP hinself in this situation.

  3. Not relevant in any way. Need does not come into it. Why should you be allowed to make millions of credits over solo players? Be able to buy cartel stuff free of GTN with those credits?

Just the CC craft mats sell for well over 1m each. Its about BW being fair to all its customer equally, not about gear. However you would need better gear for vet or master mode chapters which can be done solo with the right gear.

Cxp farming is not an efficient way of acquiring wealth.

You’re talking about fairness, but really it’s entitledness masked as fairness. More demanding tasks yield better stuff — deal with it.

If you are so desperate for credits set up a crafting emporium. Unless of course you’re lazy and want rewards anyway...

  4. Same here, but I still play them because that's where I have the most fun. It's truly a shame that solo and vanilla story players seem to be constantly ignored by Bioware.

If you are a vanilla/story player you certainly don’t need anything from galactic command. Same goes for most solo content unless you are soloing mm uprisings.

  5. Thank-you very much Darshanna, your information is the best I've found so far, for a Republic, whose map's are not the Imperial's already containing Wilkes Base.....not going to mention how long my one Republic character has been running around Mos Anek looking for the Bantha Drift Tunnel ;)

    Fantastic necro, kid!

I hope Darshanna from five years back appreciates for your comment!

  6. Hey.

I've never experienced energy issues in ops at all, even when executing rotation well without any rifle shots on bosses with no movement.

However, when parsing on dummy I find myself either having rather serious energy issues. Looking at the top lethality parses, the usage of rifle shot is extremely conservative.

Is it just me? Have I missed something obvious?

  7. If we are going to justify basic stuff like stats please do tell me where in the movies Vader decided to stack crit. Or perhaps that time when Obi Wan was looking for implants?

I mean, come on. Stats are numbers behind your damage.

And if it really bothers you, well — force users need precision, too. There are not a lot of canon sources in which force users just heave out force stuff and saber chops aimlessly in some general direction...

  8. Personally I liked what the devs said in this podcast.

Resources are as we all know limited but they're showing that they are making priorities that include a broad playerbase based on the data, which they -- unlike us -- have access to.

We're not gonna get everything we want. But I think we're on the right track.

For us that love story we should be happy that what we get is not covered in a little podcast. That would herald bad things. Instead we wait until they're ready to unveil the big stuff.

  9. That's the difference between anecdotal and empirical data. Their "ideas" come from empirical data that only they have. 100% of the "ideas" from the player base is literally and unequivocally anecdotal, no matter how many people they think they know in-game or here.

We are a very tiny portion (forum-dwellers) inside another tiny portion (players who stick around more than a year, and even TINIER if they've played non-stop since launch). We really need to stop taking it so personally when they go in directions that we think is not what the population wants because they wouldn't do what they do if their empirical data didn't support it. It would be the stupidest business people in the history of business who would act against empirical data like that.

It's the classic "But all my friends do x, so y is impossible" -- it says more about you than anything else.

Truly unfortunate that this is their opinion. It means long-term pve players really need to have one foot out the door looking for something else sustainable to do for the day when PVE is a trifling and the day everyone posting on the forum for new story content is doing so in utter vain. At the moment they're doing it in only semi-utter vain.

This is not an opinion but empirical data.

And what it says is: PvE players on the whole tend to sub when there is new content, finish it, and unsub -- and repeat. PvP players stay subbed.

What this means in practice is: Keep making PvE stuff on the reg to maintain returning subs, but keep making PvP content too for the (apparently large enough to matter) paying PvP group.

Don't be a bloody doomsday prophet.

  10. yes... it's very simple. You use a different ability called 'cover' (not 100% on that tho) it puts you in cover without rolling you.

Hah, yeah. I found it, it's crouch (ability) / take cover in place (keybinds). I should have looked before asking ;) Cheers though.

  11. On another note: Is there any way at all to remove the "roll into terrain cover" from the hotkey to enter cover? It literally sucks so much balls I'm going crazy. Half of the time it won't even place me in actual cover (bye bye entrench).

If there's any work around, pray tell. I'll do anything.

Edit: I want the 'enter cover' hotley to put me cover on the spot, to be precise.

  12. I appreciate the answer!

On the topic of engi vs mm. I have mostly seen engis in granked lately, and personally I love the cleave. But burst swap sure is nice too...

As far as how to play goes, how do you usually set up your burst windows in MM? I played it once in 2013 but that's pretty much it.

  13. Hello!

I'm thinking of bringing back my old sniper. I've pretty much only played engineering in the past, but I'm comfortable with viru too.

I wonder what the go-to spec is today when it comes to pvp and ranked. I abhor MM so I hope it's not that. I tend to love pressure comps in granked, even though they're not that popular today.

Moving on: Do people gear for the second alac breakpoint (ie. gearing 1866 alac in 248) for pvp? Furthermore, what are the go-to utilities for an all round build?

    Kind regards,

  14. This went on as little as 2 years ago, so it happens a lot more than you think.

A quick google search will give you a lot of results of companies that have done exactly what you are saying they can't do. Do some go to jail? Sure, but obviously that hasn't stopped the crimes from happening. To act like the law is a 100% deterrent, and no one would dare to break the law, is folly. But if you believe that, I have some premium crime free real-estate in Detroit for sale you might be interested in.

  15. Hello!

Can Lady Aitalla Girard, known through the BH story on Alderaan, be replicated through the character creator sliders?

If so, has anybody done this -- and what exactly are the slider values?

I would even go so far as to offer a credit reward for an exact replica of head, skin color, face, complexion and cosmetics values.

    Picture for reference:
