  1. This is long overdue. However, I think giving away CCs for referrals was completely fine.

Also my opinion. IMHO #f2p & #prefered players should be included in the new version, since they will be lured into subscribing for at least 90 days, when they feel the benifits of the unlocked game.

I subbed for multiple intervals of 90 days when a *friend* gifted me my 1st subscription.

It was a birthday gift from myself to myself

  2. This is my first post in 3+ years. I completely agree, they should merge the two US servers into one.

Welcome back to active posting ;)

Sending some Universal love❤🎶 to all in here

The reason it’s slow is because the game is in its twighlight years and populations have decreseaed to the point that prime time is just 2-3 hours a day during the week.

That's also the reason why they created storymod FP's so that I can solo them with a Bot provided and still increase my XP, when group content does not pop

  3. Hah, and what gives you the technical qualifications to say whether they can handle it all on one server?

I remember the last merger, and the servers were having a rough time handling it for the first couple weeks.

It's also important to be able to manage the (V)Lans they use in a logical and ordered manner, meaning they need to balance the load of the users on the network hardware in such a way, that the network stays as much out of your way as it can, while it works to keep you connected to your enemy peers.

It's always better to have more servers in foreground instead of one super server, as a single point of failure.

As such, things will not change on the server front. Call friends to play with. Bioware has already done its part

  4. There's only so long that paying customers will put up with this sort of thing before they vote with their feet.

I started subbing recently. Once last year and now for 90 days. I've been with the game since the demise of NFSWorld, a game butchered by EA. THere is so much changed in here, a lot not for the better, esp if you look at crafting and market inflation.

THe game wont change a lot for the better. Since I realize that, I take what I get.

To me CS is good, nice and helpful, so I cherish that (they need 2 manually add me 550 ccons every month)

As a sub I can play all expansions, even when I lapse. The only thing I will lose is access to my toon overload, since I have at least 30 per legacy...

People have shown the game their back. THats why its like this.

I dont understand why crafting was butchred the way it is, BTW, maybe someone can enlighten me

  5. Right now there is people in Korriban 137 and in the rep side starter planet 110, I keep seeing new low level players in everyday on these planets. Yesterday there was an RP group on sith academy entrance, that was a crowded group.

so no, this game is not dying.

Every MMO I played, someone ranted about the game dying. Even MMO's which now exist for 10 - 20 years (everquest is old right?)

I was always told to disregard 'the negatives'. Those are players who always see an empty glass.

  6. but I think in this case it's also due to the fact that only subscribers are able to create or reply to posts.

Personally I dont feel that's healthy for the game. There's a lot of non-subscribers still playing, and those players are unable to discuss the game here. They cant ask questions, they cant answer questions, they cant discuss updates or make suggestions. It's not a good idea to cut out a huge portion of your dwindling player base from one of the main communication outlets available to them.

I still dont get why its still a thing for bioware to keep f2p & preferred players of the forums. It serves no good purpose, and as you stated, makes the game look much more silent than it is.

Their move to make f2p only talk in channel /1 after level 25 is even worse. Now new players will leave even faster since they cant even chat in /the g channel if they get an invite.

No one knows e.g that I've been playing this for *years* as f2p, then later preferred and now for a short while (90 days) as a sub again. Last time was last year, also in the middle.

I did not leave because back then I could chat in /g channel and get / ask help in that way

  7. I ran into a situation where after updating today to 2.8.1 Patch my mouse became invisible while in game. The resolution for me was to change the game to windowed mode.

    Issue:

Mouse pointer missing while in game.

Can move mouse and see it highlighting objects and in game choices.

Can't accurately target objects with invisible mouse in game.

    Resolution above.

I'm confronted with this problem. For now I will also try windowed gaming, till I find a permanent solution. I love the power of google search

    Permanent solution found here https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/mouse-pointer-issues/td-p/4845580

This part was key for the fix here:

mouse-properties-turn off pointer trails the other i remember was to hide cursor while typing

I kept my peek setting on & no negative influence was encountered

  8. You can ignore the long running toxic profile the Fleet represents to many players if you like.. and insist it is the Facebook of the game.... but that does not make you right... nor will a lot of people agree with you. ;) Of course I consider Facebook to be the anti-social hub of the internet... with twitter running a close second.

FB is considered so toxic, even the worst trolls in this game are pale in comparison to the horrendous things people do to eachother over there, within their friends cicrcles

IMHO fleet is a mix bag of good and socially inapt people, you should choose who to chat with - also temporary ignore is a powerfull weapon, exp on fleet

  9. Oh, thanks, i'll see it tomorrow, because it's already midnight here, i doubt someone will answer ^^

You could have mailed them. CS of the game is located offshore, they live in another timezone. I know that because the mail had some grammatical syntax errors, typical for someone who has english as a second or third language.

THe agent was very nice, BTW. The work was done in a swift manner and (s)he got a good review from me, esp because it was fixed within hours

  10. One must wonder how hard it is for a software company to program something as simple as a reliable time-based system that increases the value of a field in a record.

    Hi XORdevoreaux,

It seems that support needs to come in for when it goes wrong. They have a tool for manually adding the complementary CC so it's not as seldom as one might hope.

The whole subroute would only need a few variables. TimeSubStarted ValueCCIncrease ClientCC TotalCC and a counter of 30. The conditional statement would hold something like

One pseudo basic subroutine would be

    If TimeSubStarted = 30 then

    ClientCC = (TotalCC + ValueCCIncrease)

    Gosub

Of course this would look nice in C, but I want everyone who reads this to be able to follow the routine

    You have a nice day!

  11. Hi,

For reasons unknown to me, the complementary 550 cc for subs, have not been added to my account yet. I subscribed (again) on the 23 of last month, for which I had bought a 90 day sub time card from Amazon.

The extra cc have not been awarded yet to my account, as of today 27-june.

It has been 34 days already.

Is this an error? Should I just be a lot more more patient? When I added the sub time code, the initial cash was credited immediately to my ccoins wallet.

  12. Hi,

For some reason my complementary 550 cc have not been added to my account yet. I subbed again on the 23 of last month for which I bought a 90 day sub time card from Amazon. For a reason unkown to me, the extra cc have not been awarded yet to my account. It has been 33 days already. Is this an error or should I just be a bit more patient? When I added the sub time code the initial cash was credited immediately to by ccoins wallet

  13. Are there actually customer service reps, or am I wasting my time submitting a ticket? I've had an open ticket on a game breaking issue for over a week. That seems excessive.

Yes, I have looked up work-arounds, no none of them have solved the problem.

You see, the thing is *we CANT help you* only CS can, so bashing on them in here wont help. They probably dont read forums and the message ( a wrong one) wont arrive.

You cant imagine how MUCH backlog there can be at CS of companies. I know a lot about it, since I setup and maintain network infrastructures for CS departments of different operations. ITs harder than you think. Just remind them within a week, WITHOUT opening another ticket. That puts you at the back of the chain...

  14. Well the obvious is buy items off the cartel market for real money and sell them on the GTN. That is by far the easiest and fastest way to do it.

So the 1st thing I need to do is check if I have enough GTN slots to do that. I had bought a few gtn expansions on this account, in the period when f2p players could afford things like inventory account expansions and all the other important goodies. I should have at least one expansion account wide for a nice number of extra GTN slots

If you ever bring one of your many level 30 characters up to level 70 and start the command rank stuff, you can pick up a craft like artifice or biochem and craft items like dyes for the rpers and stims for the pvpers and sell them on the market.

Artifice will require Archaeology and Treasure Hunting while Biochem will require Bioanalysis and Diplomacy.

I have my main Merc which I just brought to L61. ATM I have different crew skills there though.

If you're leveling, run heroics. If you're not leveling, run heroics. Every planet has quite a few of them that net you a decent amount of credits, upwards of almost 30k per heroic at level 70 and most are daily. Running through all the quests too will net you a decent amount, though it's obviously the most time consuming.

I can level the merc to L70 relatively fast with heroics and pvp, I *LOVE* pvp.

Slicing is also a good way to make a decent amount as you level. Just hit all the nodes in the area you see for the credit lock boxes. I did that with 3 of my toons all the way to 70 and made just over 1mil for each.

I should have slicing on another toon. I can transfer the credits to the main merc so she has the bulk of the cash

Personally I do a combination of all of it. I craft dyes and stims every other day or so while I'm running heroics.

With the ammount of comps you have at a higher level that's easier. I will get the correct crafting skills to do this. I was doing crystal crafting on this one, until bioware changed it all up a year or 2 ago.

[...] But in the 2 months since I've returned, I've accumulated at least 200 million and I'm sitting pretty at 69mil rn after buying and expanding 4 strongholds, unlocking all the legacy stuff, and a few cosmetic things.

Quite nice that you were able to do so in just 2 months.

I will also have more free time since one of my side-jobs is now in low season, which means more time to spend on SWToR

  15. Hi,

I have only talked briefly on the forums, when I was subbed a while back. I've been playing swtor since 2K8 which is almost 10 years, mostly as f2p and in the latter years as preferred, than as a sub on this account. I'm what most would call a toon-aholic => I love rolling out new toons and brining them up to about L30, after which I go again with another new toon.

Thats how much I love the 1st part of the game's lore on almost all toon types.

This is the first time I will be subbed for 90 days, and I wonder where I can read about tips on making millions in effecient and fun manners.

Pls send me all the good feedback you can give

  16. You're in the same boat as my hubby. He enjoys Mako too. He won't resub til she comes back.

OMG, I made a reserve Merc where I will do the full story. On my main merc I will stop before the part where Mako gets "lost".

Your hubby takes a drastic measure, but I *do* understand him. You develop an almost earie relationship with Mako, because she is your only comp for *many* levels. I often talk to her while we fight NPC's. Full blown conversations...
