I still don't know where he saw a healer. We originally had one tagged as heals but we were all tagged as dps after role check when requeued.

Unless he thought I was a healer (highest level, heal capable AC). I don't know about scoundrel healing rotation but I'm pretty sure Sucker Punch isn't part of it.

There's a thing with the UI that sometimes puts people in your group as healers (green triangle symbol) if you have it set to "Set Ops Frames As Group Frames" and they're not in the same zone as you/too far away. I've never seen it happen on Group Frames. It's possible that might have happened, though I'm not quite sure that a DPS would have GF frames set to OPS frames. If it wasn't that, then well, that's awkward.

While in my opinion I think some of the guns out there are pretty nice (Compact Sniper Rifle and Interstellar Regulator Aurek - Dorn items) I would like to see some more "specialized" guns that are Bound to Legacy. When I say "specialized" I mean like the Corrupter Zero blade or the Vigilant's sword, one of which is a HM/NiM drop and the other which is a Reputation perk. If I'm not mistaken, we don't really have any "specialized" guns that drop from Ops; the only one I can really think of is the Bowcaster, which comes from the BBA.

  3. After being out for so many years, I'm surprised SWTOR has not yet seized upon the most adorable mob that there is in the game: the lovable Swamp Snarler. We've already got Akk Dogs out, so why not release the counterpart to the Hutta beast duo? Just shrink a few from Athiss down, stuff them in packaging, and we'll be good to go. Give us the all-terrain Swamp Snarler!

Sighing, I nevertheless don't say anything, because by now I just want to finally kill Ikoral and get this FP over with. Again, the tank pulls as soon as he gets back, and though it's clear he's never done this fight before he doesn't pause to ask any of us what to do. So when Ikoral summons his apprentices, he has no clue to go behind the apprentices and interrupt their shield power so the lightning can zap them. Both the healer and I are telling him in chat to do so, but it takes a while for it to finally click. Sigh. This fight went on for ages!

I also noticed that no one but me was bothering to interrupt the apprentices shield ability thingy they do. You have to do that in order for them to get zapped by the lightning, even if it is hitting them. But I don't even bother pointing it out, because did I mention this fight took what felt like an hour??? Ikoral is a pushover. No one should be having these sorts of problems. lol

Anyway, after what felt like an eternity, we finally killed Ikoral. We didn't even really need the tank we got. He only managed to prolong the fight. We'd already almost had Ikoral down when he popped. But it was our fault for not turning off the queue, but to be honest we forgot about it. All in all it was a very interesting experience.

Also, a well-geared Skadge is apparently a very decent tank. Guess that ugly son of a Hutt does have his uses after all.

Ugh, they still haven't fixed this after almost a year, huh. Had a similar experience to yours, except I used Blizz and our tank never popped. We had to reset the fight about five times before I was able to convince our squishy DPS to lie still and watch the fight. Damn Ikoral and his nine lives...

  5. Have had plenty of strange experiences with GF and Ops before, so I figured it's time I make my first post here.

Queue for GF, get an Athiss. It's me, a Lvl 24 Sorc, a Lvl 23 Op Healer, a Lvl 22 Sniper DPS, and a 19 Assassin Tank. We zone in, say hello, tank says nothing. No big. We get down, wait for Tank to pull. Sniper DPS pulls instead, and continues to do so for the first 3 pulls. At this point I wonder what's going on and ask the Sniper to stop pulling ahead of the Tank. Sniper replies with "if her wasn't so damn timid i would stop". Sadly, the Sniper has a valid point.

Sniper and I alternate pulling until we get to Prof. Leyshara, who goes down no problem. Tank needs on the Aim gear that drops. Sniper calls him out, tank says nothing. Next we sneak around a few adds to the Beast of Vodal Kressh. After a brief discussion about the validity of the Cave/Pond method, we pull. The "tank", as predicted, fails utterly, leaving me to tank the beast in the arch. Beast goes down, we all loot, the tank released so no ninja for him this time.

We get down to the part with the Champion Sith Disciples and suddenly our tank decides to be a tank and pulls! Except he pulls entire rooms, leaving me to try and CC some before everyone dies. At this point our Sniper has had enough and starts a votekick. I happily oblige and pull out my Khem to tank the rest. The last boss goes smoothly; healer had sense enough to throw heals at my Khem. Looted, said thanks, parted ways.

Tl;dr- fail ninja tank who didn't pull or try to tank finally mans up at the worst time possible; kicks ensue
