  1. Not me. I want dead people to stay dead. Constantly resurrecting old antagonists and protagonists, rather than developing a character arc and back story for new characters, smacks of lazy writing. If you're going to dig up corpses to haul around for new story content, might as well dust off Tulak Hord and have him run around as well. Character arcs come to an end, and these need to, as well, so we have room for fresh, new, powerful, fully-developed characters whose character arcs can drive their own unique plotlines.

Well he isn't dead but I agree. Don't bring him back I mean it would make no sense if your playing as a LS Imperial agent and jadus is all like " What up homie, remember the time you ruined my plans, ya we cool dawg."

  2. I second this petition for a Lana marriage cutscene! As basically the main female NPC with a longstanding option for same gender romance, I think it would be especially nice for her character to be the one with which we get to experience a marriage cerimony :)

It would be awesome to see. Hell it could even be an "Unofficial ceremony" With someone from the alliance conducting it or hell out of all the companions you have at least one of them must have the proper authority to marry people

  3. Personally I always kinda of figured that they were around the same age however what makes me uncomfortable is that it can be argued that the JK is in a position of power over here. It can also be argued that its the same with other comps but something about the JK and kira just kind of reminds of a student/teacher relationship. Although I do enjoy her romance my next JK will be romancing Lana
  4. I honestly hope it is. I think SWTOR should make the stakes high for choosing your sides, think of ME2 suicide mission but instead you have to potentially fight and decide the fate of old allies. I personally can't see anything happening like this with lana as she just seems cool with whatever you do all around but I do think it could happen with theron and other old pub/imp comps
  5. It's going to be crap anyways, It would be nice if they just left these IP's instead of keep ruining them further.

    DA:I was awful.

    ME:A was awful.

DA:2 I could put up with.

ME:3 I could put up with.

Just leave a franchise to die, it's had its hay day.

Most people enjoyed DA:I me:a was a complete mess though

  6. No. If we're counting canon and non canon force users, which we'd obviously have to do if the Outlander is to be in this discussion then there are many many other Force Users that have done some way more insanely powerful stuff. Like ol Palpy creating a Force Storm so big it created a hyperspace wormhole that decimated an entire fleet, or even just Revan. Revan was probably way stronger than the Outlander.

Then if you wanted to go really out of the way you'd just say Abeloth. Abeloth could do crazy stuff like actually teleport, create avatars or copies of herself, change her appearence at will and create a force-flash powerful enough to throw off the visual sensors of ships across an entire star system. Then there's obviously 'The Father' though it was always up in the air if The Ones even existed in actual physical form so i won't count him if we're not counting Vitiate for the same reason.

Yup I mean revan was able to separate himself so that he could survive the torture he went under. I think that the JK is more powerful and more powerful then him is Lana. We see how sensitive Lana is to the force. Without Lana Revan would have made it alot further in his plans. Without lana the outlander would be dead

  7. Arcaan probably is still pretty unpopular in the Republic. He's not a great choice.

His mother, on the other hand, likely has experience in politics and probably has fans in the Republic who appreciate her efforts during the fight with Zakuul.

So, Senya is my preferred choice for Senator.

Not to mention the jedi probably respect her. I mean she turned against her own people and was able to cleanse her son of the darkness inside of him

  8. All your personal preference and what you think your character would do. I only played one class through KOTFE+, which I use as my main character and such. He is Twi'lek Consular who decided to stay independent. He found a new way to approach the force and has built this new home for countless people from many walks of life.

There is no reason for him to submit to another political entity. He is no longer a Jedi, and he remembers Saresh and her corrupt ways. He wants nothing to do with it- and he obviously doesn't want to join the Sith Empire. He has people from both walks of life that he now leads, and he leads them as an independent entity.

This here is the way am playing my consular. Right now he is seeing the bad in republic especially during chapter 2 with the rift alliance. He is going to want a place where people from both sides of the force can come and learn in peace and a safe haven from the empire and republics way. Now my inquisitor decided to become a sab and remain independent because he hates the way the imps treat aliens as second class citizens

  9. I just want to say LS doesn't always mean its the good thing. I find alot of the choices are just grey I mean one that sticks out is the story arc on balmorra where you can either destroy a weapon that can be used to destroy other planets ( with the planet its on dying) or keep it so that the republic can use it as a deterrent to stop the empires attacks. Other then some straight up choices like in the SW and SI story I don't think theres that many good choices to be made in the game. My honest opinion is since its your first time playing don't go picking one side exclusively instead take a second and put yourself in your toons shoes and ask what would you do if you were in that situation
  10. This apparently will be 6.1 next month. Any news yet on whether there is new story content and whether it is the continuation of Kira and Scourge's dire warnings?

On the swtor reddit some dataminers went through the stuff and discovered dialogue from scourge, kira your player and someone called rivvex it also has satele playing a part in it ( not sure if its just going to be for the pub side or not)

  11. Thank you. I too get sick and tired of these people telling me how I should play because they think I should like the empire (or republic). I wish people would quit trying to make my choices for me. I frankly don't care what their opinion is regarding the alliance. You don't like it fine, but there are some that do so for those of us that do, do me a favor and let us make our own choices.

Yup this post is making me facepalm ( OP post) I love the alliance I mean my agent kept it even though he is loyal to the empire ( I say empire and not sith as he believes the power structure needs to be changed) due to having his own faction and free will to fight the fights he chooses to. The alliance is an amazing addition to the game and disbanding it can cause big problems as it would give an excuse for companions not to be around any more. I mean I do hope they do this if you choose a side however like Pub patriots will leave and you might have to fight them or kill them later down the line as a consequence. I really wanna know how this crap is going to play out as a sab. Right now my Inquistor is my sab and lana and theron both know about it as they're his BFF'S

  12. Sorry, I've never seen it freeze up. Ever. I had *one* blue screen, but that was a weird interaction with Windows 10 and NVidia drivers, and only if the "grass" slider was not zero.

If you're seeing it freeze up a lot, that suggests, as JediQuaker said, that your machine may be overheating or there may be a driver incompatibility or something.

Or your PC is below the (updated) minimum system requirements. The most likely candidate there is the amount of RAM on the graphics card.

When I was playing on a PoS laptop I would have it freeze up but since I got a gaming rig years ago it doesnt. Might be OP is trying to play on high graphics then the computer can handle

  13. Don't forget the the Jedi Knight for awhile was under the influence of the emperor and it was said she/he had done some things that might have been the reason at the end of Chapter 3 they were not offered a seat. It could have been that the council was not convinced after all that the Jedi Knight should be on the council at that point in time.

I really want to know what he/she had done. I mean even orgus says I think in SOR that the jk did alot of damage and has alot to make up for ( can't exactly remember what he said as its been years since I played the JK story)

  14. All my republic characters returned home as they have always loved the Republic, even my Jedi (and they do get a seat on the council). I can't answer for everyone but for my Republic characters, they believe in the Republic (even though Saresh tried to kill her). She knows they are not perfect but she believes in their ideals.

As for as the Empire, most of them are saboteurs and will work against the Empire so they did not join the Empire again and some of them were not given the option depending on the actions they took during the story (Most of them had 2-3 dark council members killed so....). So far the only one that return to the empire was my sorceress as she was the only one that still supports the Empire.

I never had none of my toons return to the imp side however I only played 2 through onslaught. My sith inq hates the the empire for what it is and is similiar to ashara where he thinks neither side is right but feels like the republic is the lesser of the evils so he becomes a sabuteur. Now my Imp agent sided with the imps he is kindof like my inquistor believing that the empire needs to change starting with not leaving the sith dictate their lifes. At the end of his story I decided he would go off on his own as he didn't want to be anyones puppet any longer with that being said the reason he never sided with the pubs is because of the Spoiler for imp story

brainwashing he undergone when he was undercover and how cruel the republic was with it so he decided to remain independent and fight where he is needed and hopefully change the way of the empire

  15. KIlling Jaesa's former master, her parents, forcing Nomen Karr to fall to the dark side, making Jaesa see it with her power, telling her you must kill her and make her beg for her life, then ordering her to decapitate Nomen Karr.

Bioware outdid themselves with that one. I couldn't have asked for a more satisfying romance arc as a Sith. Honorable mention to killing Grathan and making Vette watch as you bang his wife. Allowing a newly recruited Jaesa to torture Vette. Toying with Vette by removing her shock collar then putting it back on and mocking her.

Razing Makeb to the ground, Killing Senya and making Arcann think it was his doing. Ah, this game doesn't lack for amazing choices. My hats off to Bioware for making the Dark Side experience so utterly wicked and enjoyable. I wish we could replay old stories!

This here first time I plaued swtor years ago I rolled a sith Warr for my first class. I remember getting up to this part and rubbing my hands together while laughing. It's so evil you basically tell her her whole life is a lie

  16. They can't do much if the characters were deleted years ago. I know when I took a break from swtor and came back to it some of my toons were gone. I also deleted one of my mains by an accident and submitted a ticket to recover the toon and they were able to recover it for me however in that situation I submitted the ticket as soon as I knew what I did and within a week my toon was back.
  17. Greetings,

I finished the Onslaught story with 2 Imperial characters, one saboteur and the other Loyalist.

Do you have information about the future of the factions ? Will it be possible to change faction like a Sith becoming a republican citizen and vice versa ?

    Kind regards,

A good way to make something like this happen and it make your past choices count, should depend on how you acted in the vanilla story and the expansion. I mean sure the Jedi may be wlling to take you in and turn you over to the lightside but would the republic be so willing when they find out it was you that killed all those force sensitive refugees on balmorra

  18. So as a returning player I've payed very little attention to crew skills previously. I currently have my armortech in the 600's and have a few questions if someone could answer them for me.

    1. So I see that some items require crafting ingredients you can get from conquest. Is that the only way to get these mats other then the GTN?

    2. What is the item that sells the most on the GTN for armortech? I've been making mod's like armouring and augment but only been selling very few of them even though I've been undercutting the competition.

    TIA.

  19. This is all based upon your own misconception of all smugglers and BHs as "cowardly petty, 2-bit criminals". But just because that's the way you think of them, that doesn't make it so. Do you really think that Han Solo is just a 2-bit criminal?

One could just as easily wonder how an evil "kill, kill, kill" Sith maniac could become leader of anything. 😂

However sith are use to leading either way whether they are bad or not. I mean sure Han Solo wasn't just a two bit criminal but he also didn't end up killing vader with a blaster bolt.

  20. well...not to be a party pooper on your idea of ''Sith and Jeeday are like God and only another Sith and Jeeday can kill them'' . But back in Kotor 2, it was proven that normal peoples have learned and even taken down Jedi .

The mistake here, is that ..that tid bit of info never made it in this game .

But Jedi and Sith aren't God . They can still be killed .

The cutscene may be silly, waving a gun at a Sith...but thats on the creator fault. Not on the Lore...(at least Kotor 2 Lore. )

I never said they couldn't what am getting at is that it's kind of implied that the fights in the expansion take a bit . A jedi can defend against blaster shot but someone who is taking on any kind of force user who only has a gun can't really defend against a lightsaber. Plus I don't think they are godlike. It's funny that we see in the expansion ( on Iokath) Vaylin get shot by a droid and shrug it off yet we're expected to believe that she was killed by one from a handgun( if it applies to you) when she shrugged off a shot by a rifle only flinching. Plus not to mention certain cutscenes where if your a force user you help out such as getting the gravestone out of the swamps or something else entirely like when satele and marr help you build a weapon. I find it funny when they help you build a gun instead of a saber

  21. Hi, not really a new player, but am returning after a few years and am finally getting around to finishing KotFE and KotET and I'm wondering if I have to grind character influence if I want to avoid something bad happening regarding the companions. I'd really like to just do the story and a little side content like the Star Fortresses and not have to grind for companion influence.

For what you are saying no it doesn't matter for the story. I'm assuming you are thinking kind of like how your crew was in me2 where you have to be on good terms with for them to survive. The only thing influence ( excuse the pun) Influences now is how your comp is during combat and how fast they get crew skill tasks done. Theres only one comp that can die during the KotET and it just makes you choose with no other factors taken in consideration other then your choice.

  22. I'm sorry, there's just no context where my smuggler or bounty hunter attracts the attention of such a powerful being, or finds themselves in charge of such an empire.

I think any non force user, the story doesn't fit fort hem. Am currently playing it through on my IA and I mean come on how the hell can you defend against someone with the force who uses a lightsaber when all you have is a gun. I just find it cringe worthy. I think we can all agree that the story is best suited for the JK

  23. It's not about allowing people to be traitors, but think about it. There could be something planned down the line, where a single betrayal might lead to different outcomes and the way we see things. I'm just stating the ideal facts in this case.

Right like where choosing the saboteur option every time can actually screw you in the end if your side starts to put the pieces together. My sith Inq is LS and a sab and tries to weaken the imperials any chance he gets, one of which lately is killing as many dark council members as he can.

  24. I've played through the Onslaught story three times now. I'm being honest, it's kind of a let down because I thought it was going to be like KOTFE and KOTET or something more epic than just a three planet arc. I'm not wrong though, the story is pretty good but it really doesn't capture the imagination that both KOTFE and KOTET had in their prime. Take my Agent Sniper for example, she's a double agent working for the Republic. I would had thought there would be more to do in order the sabotage the Empire's efforts and please the Republic more, enough for my Agent Sniper to join their side once I completed the entire story. So in my opinion, it's a let down.

I hope there'll be more in the near future, maybe a story point on my Agent Sniper where the Empire finds out there's a mole in their ranks, due to their constant failures in dominating the galaxy. It would be interesting, since learning that they've found out about the mole in their ranks, my Agent Sniper would have to act soon or something like that. I'm always keen for more stories, since this was just starting to get good.

One thing I really hope they do is something like they did with torian/vette. Depending on who you recruited and who you sided with the die hard patriots will abandoned the alliance to go and fight for their faction. Where the fun part comes in is when you have encounters with them and depending on how your playing you might have to kill them or do something that harms. A guy can only dream
