  1. Do long time subscribers get them the droid, speeder, and cartel coins? Because from what I'm seeing, it doesn't look like it. I don't know about you, but I think that's unfair. We're the ones who have supported the game the most, and it doesn't look like we'll be getting much of anything on October 20th. I bought Rise of the Hutt Cartel a month before August 11th, and because of that, I didn't get any cartel coins this week. Why is that? I'd really like to be proven wrong, and if someone has a reliable source that shows that we'll also receive the rewards, I'd be very thankful if you posted it here.

    (Rant alert)

Otherwise, I'm just really confused. Is BioWare so worried about getting new players that they're neglecting their loyal ones? That's the oldest fault in the book... Show us some love too..

    (End rant)

    droid yes*

    speeder yes*

cartel coins - you get those monthly for subscribing anyway, the coins are advertised as an added insentive for first time subscribers (basicly just like an fyi, you also get monthly coins! kind of thing) it's not bonus coins, just the same coins you get monthly for subscribing

    * note, existing subscribers still have to be subscribed in october or you get NOTHING!!!

  2. I think it was meant for something but was later scrapped. I mean besides other players being able to leave your ship. But this is not uncommon. Look at the world of WoW. They have tons of "Unused" things in their world. Like the big gates that led nowhere. There was supposed to be an instance there, if memory serves, but the instance was scrapped.

do you mean the big gates that lead to the werewolf area? >.>

  3. Whats the name of the chestpiece that Otheros is wearing and is available to the player? I`ve checked the collections panel and didn`t see it on the Cartel Market.

Cause I think I saw it or something similar to it somewhere in game.

do you have a picture? i'm not sure who you're talking about =/

the the 2 BBA vendors are wearing BBA armor you can buy from the vendor on the left :)

either the bounty tracker or the contract hunter armor :)

  4. 50%+50%=100%?

    50% +50% = 75% (50% of 50% is 25% +50% = 75% math is silly like that x3 )

I would like it if they gave subscribers the ability to buy at least small things like hair changes for credits. This sale is pretty awesome though, I'm going to be able to change a character's species for like $3.50.

i would suggest the GTN if you want to use credits, alot of people actually sell stuff sale items on the exchange, (example: i got chiss legacy unlock with credits via gtn :3 )

  5. To impliment or attempt to impliment a lofty space mini game that will undoubtedly have numerous problems and eat countless dev hours before you would attempt to balance assassins within biowares own stated goal of no more than 15% dps differential. Would it not make sense to have at least a functional balance before implimenting some non primary gameplay gimmick that would just exacerbate any problem already existing. Its like skydiving with a napkin for a parachute

Would it not make sense to fix something that would improve the gameplay for every sin in the game instead of implimenting a time and resource sucking bug ridden glorified minigame for a few people that want it

Last i checked people played for terrestrial combat that is fun and reasonably fair and balanced and not to play an unbalanced half hearted attempt at a class with tie fighter thrown in. Just because its a space mmo doesnt mean somehow balance should give way to tie fighter just because it was in a star wars movie.

Play mmos long enough and you realize its overhyped and under delivered on nearly all content but class balance is the core experince whereas super tie fighter should be secondary to balance

isn't this just a reworded arguement of your previous post on ungimping assassins? >.> i still don't see how it's gimped,if you hate it so much play something else or learn to work with the gimp, instead of being DPS try being heals, or off tank, or do some pve....or get better gear.....

to me it seems like you're using parse, a 3rd party program not supported by BW/EA to prove that a jack of all trades class master of non has less DPS over all then a designated DPS class.... which honestly i would expect

  6. The title is self explanatory, but I think this is gonna be fun.

Argumentative Statement: Not as fun as killing meatbags.

So, just describe the troll you conducted, and the reader will give you up to 5 points per post. They can only really be trolls from gameplay or forums, but I hope you guys find this fun.

Putting noob BH or Agent armor on my SW and going to Hutta. People try to duel me while I'm doing that. It's fun to imagine the look on people's faces when I one-shot their toons.

    what's an SW -tilts head-

and that is pretty funny, i must try that XD do you just put on the appearance armor or the actual noob armor?

i like trolling my friend :D we pretty much just exclusively play together and we'll hunt datacrons and things together, he's really good at jumping to the tops of levels and such, but on the flip side, i'm really good at force pulling him off ledges when he gets to the top :)

  7. it's not ridiculous, it is a valid rant!

My 3rd toon i made after launch was a Cyborg powertech and i hated the limited cybernetic accessories. The little metal electron strips on the face and cybernetic eyes all fell shy of a true Cyborg. I wanted, cybernetic arm/s and hand/s and leg/s, plus what was available for the face. I believe this late addition, that i did welcome, because i could, finally full fill the look of my TRUE Cyborg. I agree they should not be for all. Give them some other kind of prostheses, because a Cybernetic Prosthetic should be Unique and an unique part of a cyborgs arsenal as well as a limb.

As far as what you said about Jedi's not complaining about Robes on CM, the robes are catered to the side you're on, REPUBLIC and JEDI robes and IMPERIAL and SITH robes.

And the same should be for -

Cybernetic Prostheses made especially for the Cyborg Species, and regular Prosthetic parts for all none Cyborg Species....

I understand the none cyborg species (as a player you may want to play your toon as they lost a limb in battle), but their body couldn't handle a cybernetic limb like a Cyborgs could, so your none cybernetic toon would have a functional human type Prosthetic limb/part.

I guess the difference of the Cybernetic prostheses could be they would have high set of stats attached to them that cant be modded. But the None Cyborg Species their stats would be sufficiently lower and also can not be modded.

Of course the devs could work out that kind of stuff. Just ideas there....

cyborgs are just humans with computer implants, there was discussion to have a cyborg setting for all species but this has been placed on the back burner while they work on other things.... cyborgs are technicly not a species at all, they're mechanicly enhanced versions of other species, so having the cyborg armor for other species makes sense as canonically other species can be cyborgs aswell.

  8. Don't worry, I think almost all new MMO players make the same mistake unless they are playing with a friend that explains it to them first. I did the same thing 7 years ago. :p

It is kind of weird that they keep going with this "need/greed" thing, though. Maybe it should be changed to "don't need", lol.

don't need is what "pass" is for

generally "greed" is selected because the winner has the intent of selling it for money (hence greed for more moneys )

  9. Stealth doesn't matter on a boss or raid enemies because the rest of the team can't sneak thru with you. The heals are small but not the issue. The attacks hit less than the other classes and if you're a tanking assassin, you can't survive the same hits that a juggernaut or powertech can because assassins are squishier and take more damage, even if you have great healers as friends.

didn't think sins were soposed to tank >.>; isn't that kind of like a juggernaut trying to me a ranged healer?

  10. i don't see how operative is gimped =/

we're talking about the imperial agent assassins right? or the shadow assassin consular ?

either way i don't see how they are gimped? they can sneak past crap tons of stuff

do sniper shot to take off like 3/4th damage in 1 shot, and back stab to do the same thing =o

i can pick where/when to fight and always get first hit :3 it's fun :D

    though i was expecting more of a pewpew with stealth from the description as opose to a more melee style/close range fighting style, but -shrug- this is minor >.>;

  11. This goes right to the foundation of the legacy system. As many people know many of us have more than one character that we have leveled and when it comes to end game and gearing, why are we not permitted to either 1) transfer commendations to other characters in your legacy or 2) be able to transfer the gear to alternate characters ? We can have HK which is not so easy to get throughout our legacy if we pay the small cartel coin grant. So why is it that we can't utilize basic coms to help initially gear alternate toons ? It's not really taking a shortcut with coms that we rightfully earned by doing the quests in question. As it stands right now my coms are useless and untransferable to a higher level of com unlike the pvp coms which can be transferred to ranked. I know many players would see this as unfair because they have one character but thats a choice.. They too can choose to level up to 12 characters just like everyone else.

Before you go on saying it would be too easy.. well no we earned the coms therefore haven't we earned the right to use them ? I mean is it really that big of a deal to bind gear to legacy rather then bind on pickup ? I can buy mods all day long with planetary coms and send them wherever i want so why cant we do this with the other tiers of gear ? Would a developer please read this and answer this.

i don't entirely get it, but i think you're asking why can't we transfer planetary/space commendations between characters on our legacy???

side note: you're aware you can buy the item you want with your commendations on 1 character and then transfer it to another character right? i've done that with a blaster and some mods :3 (mostly i just sell the mods on the exchange though >.> )

  12. If you are right, then BioWare was not seeking legal cover by giving an appreciation grant to recent buyers of the expansion, and really is intentionally choosing to treat long time players with a lesser amount of appreciation by not giving them the same grant in appreciation for their purchase.

-shrug- probably. it's EA after all, i'm happy with my appreciation so i'm not complaining :)

  13. EULA cannot trump regulations or consumer protection laws.

Seriously, where do you come up with this stuff?

obviously you just clicked "next" when reading the EUALA and haven't read the actual consumer protection laws for california recently.....

and to answer you question i work tech support for major electronics provider, knowing the EULA and having a basic understanding of local consumer protection laws is a boost to the job when dealing with customer issues all day.

  14. I wonder, could they get both? Lets say they wait until the 14th to ask for a refund, do you think that would cause BioWare to take back the CC grant that they are giving to recent buyers?

it could be possible, but i strongly think that EA would argue they refunded you by means of the CC as an "in-store credit" and as the refund has already been done they can refuse to refund you the $10
