  1. In 7.0 when playing as a Marauder or a Juggernaut I will be able to make the Marauder play with 1 saber and vice versa right? Would it still say ingame that my character is a Mara or would it switch it to jugg? Or are the classes gona say their base names again?
  2. It's just silly at this point that they haven't added ranked choice 'voting' when you queue.

     

    Because Quesh and Vandin would never pop and the devs can't accept the fact that noone like those maps and their work is utter garbage. I am pretty sure a day at the office at Bio Austin is just an echo chamber.

  3. Sometimes I still get stuck in loops of a specific map but I assume it's just bad luck? I had Hypergate 4 times in a row just yesterday. That's my least favorite WZ by a mile so it was pretty annoying, but that's just how it goes I guess.

     

    It sure doesn't seem like there is any systems in place. I got my first Yavin ruins in weeks yesteday. Usually its HB's, Hybergate and Voidstar. My least favorite maps especially Voidstar. I main melee and unless I am on Operative VS is just cancerous. Getting shot to pieces but 4+ Mercs sorcs or Snipers because class stacking. Granted they are usually bads and are not killing me but having to stealth out constantly and spend half the match in regen is exhausting.

    Sound to me like all he is asking for instead of 3 separate Huttballs counting as 3 separate pops maybe just have whenever Huttball pops for you its gona be 1 of the 3?

  5. If you're struggling to get bronze, it's because you're bad. Play better and stop blaming the throwers. Everyone gets them.

     

    That's a pretty smallminded opinion. Maybe the first 10 games just matters too much. I have several redundant characters. One of them won 6 of the first 10 and is in a decent spot while the other lost 7. Why would I be worse on the same class then on the same class? What I did notice is plenty of people getting globaled and just playing like they don't even play regs. I don't remember this many pvers in queue since they were playing teamranked to die for matts. Is there any reason so many pvers would be queueing this late in the season except to cause discord? They realize you get more tech frags or something? Maybe they tired of the grey pvp lootbox of scraps and want the green pvp lootbox you get for losing? I usually never play so much because I stopped before they added the tedious win requirements so I would play 20 matches or so then unsubb and wait for rewards because this game gets boring in large doses and is largely unworth even the $15 a month sub fee. Maybe if this was the kind of game with an actual population and arenas would pop anytime anywhere I would probably consider playing more...Imagine if the only pvp mode they ever added was Huttball lol. How horrible that would've been. The only pvp mode and they were all Huttballs. 4V4 Huttballs. Huttball 1v1. Huttball FFA. Off topic but I have ADD.

  6. He's a troll, and has been for years. He throws most of his games on purpose. The point is, with your system he would get top rewards, which is nonsense. I say this as someone that currently has the second and fifth most wins in solo ranked so far this season by the way. I would benefit from the kind of system you're recommending, and I think it's a terrible idea.

     

    As for sitting in the same place and making no progress...that's part of the design of the system. It is not designed for people to climb infinitely. You're supposed to get to the rating where you get a 50/50 win/loss and roughly stay there, unless you improve. To reiterate: the job of the matchmaker is to create the most even matchups possible, not to help players climb.

     

    Obviously in solo ranked there are a lot of variables, so rating can vary quite a lot depending on which people and classes are in queue, etc. But there is still generally an elo range that people normalize at.

     

    ok whatever bro. Not everyone is as cool as you at star wars. You saying you don't have dipshts screwing you out of wins sometimes? I assume most people play different characters in a season because of it. Two of mine now are just tanked at this point and there is nothing I can do. They might end the season with the "amount of wins needed" but neither of them gona get anything so there is no reason to even play them anymore. Unless I could somehow win 7 games in a row. The most I ever won in a row was 3 and that was probably just luck because the throwers and pvers didn't end up on my side. Make make rewards legacy bound so all characters get them?

    I agree with OP in theory, but in practice, it would lead to more win trading.

     

    With wintrading it doesn't matter what system is in place because wintrading is done in organized outside of the game.

  8. Can't you see how these statements contradict each other? Someone throwing can affect a small percentage of your matches, but over the course of a long season, they're going to be a drop in the bucket for most people. Obviously there are cases of people being targeted at season end to prevent them from getting top 3, but that is quite rare, and even that is surmountable.

    Ok so this particular guy...didn't get over 1250 so he won't even get bronze for having 800 wins? So is this a legit player here or was it trolling? Maybe he just kept winning 1 game and losing the next because of an rper or new player or someone throwing. Plus 17 for a win and -17 for a loss. Its completely possible to just sit in the same spot permanently and make no progress. Just validates my point really. If I played 800 ranked games for nothing I would delete all my characters and uninstall this game faster then you could say, 'time to go play a good game."

  9. it's not really a rating then, is it? rating is based on wins, losses, and to whom those wins and losses occur.

     

    you are rewarded for win totals aready with ranked tokens.

     

    for someone so cavalier about people complaining about regs, you sure whine a lot about your plight in ranked. life is hard.

     

    Nah its completely different. In rank you get stuff you can't get from anywhere else in the game. You end season result determines your flair, flags and bulk amount of tokens you receive. Someone afking or stucking it in a rank match can determine your end season result. Especially when it happens often. Seasons last incredibly too long and rewards take even longer to get. The amount of tokens you would get from placing bronze for example would require you to do 7 weeklies I believe unless they change the numbers. I think silver is 15k and Gold is 50? Now in regs there is nothing to gain from winning or losing other then a win or lose screen. Someone afk in the corner doesn't affect or cause you to lose anything or then a match if you even lose. Aside from what a green lootbox? In rank you get a green lootbox for losing.

  10. For next season. Its just a joke when you got people who just stuck it or afk at the start. Matches do not pop often enough to justify this kind of nonsense. I doubt they are going to do anything other then enforce more restrictions and punishments like they always do just to make everything worse. JuST REMOVE the dam elo loss for loses. So if I win a game then the next game a dude just stucks it I actually made some progress in the 30 minutes it took to get through both matches.
  11. I wonder if its possible to deathmatch and win objs. I am honestly getting sick of getting that L screen in regs because I am on the team that is deathmatching. You know what is more fun then deathmatching in regs? DM in ranked but noone wants to queue.
  12. If you having problems countering mercs dcds, u doing something wrong. Their dcds are pretty easy to counter. The only reason they survive so much is bcos theres always someone attacking em brainlesly. Just stop attacking em when they use their reflect.Stun and/or kit if u have too. Keep in mind you can Apply dots and use aoe on em and they wont reflect nor cure themselves.

    So this the best dcd they have. The other shield is just good, but nothing that special. Same thing,stop attacking when they pop or,if u feel like u can outdmg their defense,just try to burst em pretty fast.

    The kolto overload is pretty good but hás a big CD,so well...

    I personaly think there are classes with way better dcd than merc. Wanna talk about op dcds? Lets talk about skank juggs and concealment ops. They have the most overpowered dcds in this game. And the dmg a operative can do is way higher than the one mercs can.

    So, no,mercs dont need to get nerfed cos they already got nerfed previous patches and now they are very balanced imo.

    Lets focus on the real op classes right now such as pt (a unstopable killinh machine if they have either heals or guard,or both),operatives with their insane burst,survivability and mobility all at once and the immortal skank jugg with insane dps for a tank and..well, if they have half a brain working,they are nearly unkillable.

     

    Yeah no sht dude. I eat trash mercs for breakfast. The amount of trash mercs who pop bubble and reflect at the same time in a 1v1 because I cc them or hit them once is astounding. The problem is like you said normies just keep wailing on them allowing even the worst of mercs to stay in the fight. I am just forward to seeing them all revealed for what they are once they start losing DCD's and die like everyone else regardless of skill. Playing Mara like if I don't have a healer I have to be sweaty; in regs is stupid. Why do I have to sweat to stay alive when potatoes can roll their faces across their keyboard and just heal to full 3 times?

  13. Trauma regulators and Kolto surge should've gone to Powertech, or be universal utilities between mercs and pt. Blows my mind how they gave mercs all the love.

     

    Its cuz Boyd plays merc in RP or whatever content he enjoys. I can't wait for mercs to lose some DCDs in 7.0 because we will get to see the hordes of trash mercs melt right before out eyes without 3 "omg" buttons to push.

Some of the best sorcs I have seen in rank are playing the dot spec and many of the worst sorcs I see playing regs are just spamming AOE lightening and do numbers because they are free casting...And if hatred is better then madness that means I can play hatred again and not be laughed at now?

  15. Judging from the changes to other classes, I highly doubt mercs will be allowed to keep all of kolto, bubble, reflect and rocket boost. Further, a lot of the merc's survivability comes from utilities and not all utilities will be available to pick in the ABC system. From what we have seen so far, it can be assumed that all classes will be losing defensive power, mobility and utility during their conversion to combat styles. Merc is also one of the classes containing the most amount of abilities, and so has more abilities to lose than other classes in order to bring it in line with the new baseline for combat styles.

     

    Seems like a good enough reason to resub in 7.0 for me. Farming trash mercs will never be easier.

  16. Since Jugg is going into the dumpster its only fair that merc goes too. Too long below average trash mercs have had their way in regs. Just yesterday on Mara I attacked a merc who immediately bubbled. I cc him then he used reflect to which I promptly responded with a grenade. Players like this don't deserve this kind of survivability. Just so many easy ways out and actual merc players could survive just fine if one of them was removed. This is why there are so many mercs in queue because you can just sit there heal to full over and over without any regard for dcd priority. Now if I WASN'T alone you can safety assume others would've been attacking him through his bubbles healing him. It seems like %90 of the mercs I bump into just blown their dcds over an autoattack or cc and its getting ridiculous. Its past ridiculous.
  17. I am so sick of garbage mercs being able to stay alive in regs strictly on the merits of their DCDs. Cant wait to see the changes to the class. Hopefully they lose a DCD. Without 3 lifebars many of these merc will be global bait.
  18. Spoken like a player who is too scared to go into ranked, where the “true” PvP happens, because he knows he’d get globalled in four seconds. Seriously, this anti-objectives attitude has nothing to do with what the OP was asking. And if you think objective players are in the minority, you’re wrong. It’s just that intelligent thoughts are stated calmly, while idiocy needs to scream. Hence, the vocal minority of people like you who think that they’re PvP gods for farming newer players and players looking to actually complete a mission.

     

    Seriously, had it ever occurred to you that maybe people want to win in regs because it’s fun to win? That maybe the loot has nothing to do with it? That not everyone has the same myopic viewpoint that you and your massively undeserved ego have?

     

    I play ranked all the time especially since they added a leaver regs lockout and the three huttballs are now unescapable. You validate my post. Especially the part about slinging mud. I was complimenting OP because he obviously knows how to PVP. He put outs numbers and gets kills and medals in a PVP mode of the game. Who is talking about farming newer players? If people want to win regs then they will make groups otherwise whining about playing a multiplayer game with 7 other people not in voice and expecting people to coordinate is a waste of time. If you have time to be typing "obj calls" in chat then you are not pvping. The only person who should have time to be typing is the dude sitting on a node. Your passive aggressive response just lumps you into that crowd of people who is on the winning team in objs who spent half the game running back to mid from spawn.

I've played almost 500 unranked matches as a Rage Jugg, and for most of that time, in terms of damage, kills, medals, etc, I almost always place somewhere in the upper half, I wanna say 60%-65% tier. Yet my win ratio is horrible, like 30%. So what am I doing wrong? Is it that I'm never in premades? I seem to be spec'd appropriately and I'm making solid kills, hitting doors, panels, etc, guarding, issuing heavy damage, and I've had quite a few MVP votes so I don't see how it could be that it's my gameplay that sucks end of story. So what am I missing? It's been too consistent a pattern to be simply bad luck. Is the system stacked against me in a way I don't realize? Pure paranoia? Any insight appreciated, this is vexing me.

     

    Top kills, damage, medals etc? Brother you are winning. "Winning" in regs doesn't mean a victory screen because you juggled Giradda's giant huttballs or sap capped a potato to take his node at the last second. That's not real pvp. Real pvp is fighting players. The vocal minority of "pvpers" will tell you otherwise and will sling mud at people who would rather just fight players and not pay attention to unneeded objs just so they can get their green regs lootbox that has some scraps and other junk in it. These people who will tell you this are also global bait in arenas. It tickles me pink to be on the "losing" team in regs having "lost" to a team that got utterly obliterated and spent most of their time running back from spawn while I spent the entire time out in the field doing PVP. Personally for me I stopped caring about objs once they made matches full cross faction. Once PVP was no longer the Empire versus the smelly Republic I really couldn't care less about it. I would even hop onto mando sometimes back then.

  20. Speaking of toxicity....there was this mando healing tonite lol. Luckily I was not on his team. Got 3 wins in a row thanks to him. This is the kind of mando that 1 DPS can kill by themselves. The kind of thing that doesn't even happen in regs if the mando is barely breathing. I have a feeling he might have been throwing for someone because his account while new had only PVP played on it. But there were people spitting on him on the other team and flagging him endlessly. Checks out though. You don't want to see toxicity? Then don't be worse then a regular regs merc would be. Even the most basic mercs in regs can just walk backwards while holding the S key and pop dcds while staying alive.

Enough, its time to give snipers a reliable healing ability like ones troopers or mercs, they are dps too they have all the healing they need however snipers are left to bleed against everything. Can't survive crap against anyone even with proper keyboard and ability setup. There is also too much buttons and keys I have to remember against a jedi or sith.

     

    This is supposed to a relaxed casual unranked match, not a keyboard destroyer and morale in process.

     

    Give us something to survive.

     

    If this isn't a L2P issue I don't know what is.
