    Can we save Darth Marr now?

    Now I realise this request may screw over the space time continuum but ... well ... **** it!

     

    What the title says ... Can we go back in time and save Darth Marr? Failing that can we wake up on Darth Marr's destroyer screaming about Zildrog and Zakuul?

     

    I'd be down with the second option.

    There is crazy amounts of inflation in the game lately. Is there a new exploit?

    You dont have to spend more then your monthly 500 stipend to be a multimillionaire. CMitems are luxury items, and are priced to reflect that. Now crafting mat prices are getting high, but that has nothing to do with CM. And inflation is not the root of it, that is the most misused word I have seen in thie forum over the years.

     

    Inflation means that money decreases in value as its quantity and availability increase. Exploits that create massive surpluses of money result in inflation. OP is simply asking if that has happened recently. No words have been misused.

    Empire needs a REAL Emperor.

    I don't think it's that they didn't have the players to support E vs R. They just didn't have the resources to continue with two (already down from eight!) separate stories.

     

    I don't buy it. The entire KotFE-KotER saga is extremely long and complex. The resources they poured into it could have easily been divided into 8 shorter but well-designed class stories, to say nothing about 2 elaborate faction stories.

     

    It was a combination of narcissistic ambition and contempt for their predecessors' work (i.e., contempt for vanilla SWTOR) that made them abandon class lore in favor of the mediocre Zakuul narrative. That attitude is plainly visible in the marketing campaign for KotFE where the protagonist of the advertisements says something to the effect of, "It doesn't matter what I was before...(let's just forget I was a boring old Jedi)...because now I am THE EPIC, AMAZING NEW OUTLANDER!" As if being an "outlander" was somehow more exciting and interesting than the beloved SW classes like Jedi and Sith and Bounty Hunter. It was totally bizarre. And it demonstrated how insanely out-of-touch and oblivious to class fantasy the developers truly were.

    Sort of seperate, but still kind of on topic, something I feel happens is companions who were originally setup as a specific role, don’t like playing the other roles.

    Some examples of this are Khem Val is a much better tank than healer or dps,

    Kira is completely hopeless at healing cause she always jumps into the fray and pulls damage or breaks your cc’s on mobs.

    I now only use comps in the role they were designed

    I've had this issue before. If I remember correctly, there are a few things that can potentially fix it.

     

    1. Right-click the launcher icon and click "Run as administrator." Attempt login.

     

    and/or

     

    2. Open Task Manager (control+alt+delete), expand the list, and then remove everything entitled Bitraider. Then try a fresh login.

     

    and/or

     

    3. Right-click launcher icon, then click Open File Location, then delete the Bitraider file. Yes, delete it. This will force the launcher to run a quick repair, potentially downloading replacements for corrupted files.

     

    If none of this works, try logging in at a different time of day. I found that, on bad days, there was a specific time (around 6PM-midnight) when this error message occurred unavoidably. The error ceased to occur after midnight.

    I don't see why people complain about my combat rotation

    My combat rotation works really well.

     

    1. Send in companion

    2. Get coffee out of microwave

    3. Retrieve paper from porch step. Flip to page 12A and read the obits.

    4. Gather up laundry and start the wash.

    5. Return to computer, select another mob.

     

    It works fine, I don't see what anyone's complaining about.

     

    Well...if it takes your companion 30 minutes to kill a group of bad guys, you might want to invest in some companion gifts.

    Hi there, just wanted to know if there will be any release of any new types of species? For me new race types offer new ways to play and choosing different options in conversations with other characters.

    The race I’ve been patiently waiting on is the Nautolan race, my favourite Jedi was Master Kit Fisto. Loved him in all the movies and was very sad to see him die in Ep III when Darth Sidious struck him down. You already have a lot of NPC characters as the Nautolan race anyway, would it be so hard to let us play as them to.

     

    A simple request as it would add more enjoyment to a great game.

    I agree. It would be awesome to play as a Nautolan or any of the other wacky Star Wars alien species. And you know they'd sell like crazy on the CM, so there's plenty of money to pay for the work. Here's hoping.
