  1. I have run into an issue where any armor I unlock in the pvp season 1 rewards doesnt unlock in my collections, even after wearing the item. I would wear the item and then delete the item. The items are no longer in my collections. I have now complete the entire pvp season 1 rewards track and only have the final three pieces unlocked. I do not have this issue with the galactic seasons rewards. Also, the weapons also are unlocking fine. The issue is specifically with the pvp season 1 armor from the reward tracker.

  2. Can you explain the pvp gear falling behind solo decuriangear or even purchasable mods?

At launch it was decent gear  to have. Not the best but not bad at all. then it falls behind by 2ilvls, now you lower it to be behind by 4ilvls. This progression defeats the purpose of getting pvp gear.    What’s the benefit at this point?

not to sound too pessimistic, but it’s starting to feel like the dev team doesn’t value the pvp community. I understand that may not be true, but these decisions on top of other pvp decisions give this impression.

    • Do you think you'll PvP more or less than you did before the update?
      • Honestly, the reasoning to push myself to be better in reg pvp was to get to ranked. Without that ranked system, or a form of a ranking system, I have nothing to achieve. Participation rewards are not achievement. People want hard content, thats why Elden ring is so popular, people enjoy hard content.
    • Do the rewards on the reward track make you want to PvP specifically to earn them?
      • no, the outfits aren't particularly exciting. the rewards are too easy to achieve and aren't flashy enough to match the time sink.
    • Do you think you'll queue for 8v8 Warzones or 4v4 Arenas equally?
      • No, I will que for the one with the best reward vs time sink
    • Do you feel the new Warzone medals will encourage objective play?
      • unless the system scales rewards based on medals, and the medals are tough to achieve. People will do the easy possible method to get what they want. Medals need to mean something more than just a number in a particular match.
    • Is it clear how to earn PvP points and progress the Season reward track?
      • Its clear, but not exciting in its current iteration. The excitement would come if maybe to progress the progression system you had to achieve a certain amount of medals. Then make those medals a hurdle to achieve, and then have a ranking system for those who perform the best. After you have the ranking system, implement rewards that show others that these people have earned their medals through skill.
    • What is your overall impression of the changes to the PvP season system?
      • The changes seem very out of touch with the audience they are aimed at. In mmo's there will always be a revolving door of players, every mmo has and will have this problem. These changes seem to cater to those who play pvp casually. The changes alienate those who want a system they have to work hard at. Players want hard mountains to climb that they might not achieve. There needs to be pvp changes that reward those who can perform at the top 10%. When there is no reason to push yourself in a particular game mode, you alienate the player base that is constantly playing pvp to get better. The removal of ranked, without a version of ranked taking its place, shows a lack of insight into the games pvp community. For clarification, the pvp community isnt the occasional unranked player.
    • What do you like the most about the changes to the PvP season system?
      • The best move in this was the separation of 4v4 and 8v8 ques. That part was great. I love arenas but I'm not good enough for ranked yet. The separate que for 4v4 gives me the avenue to reach that next level. Unfortunately, that next level is disappearing.
    • What do you like the least about the changes to the PvP season system?
      • There is no area of the game where those who are serious about high level pvp performance can compete. This was ranked pvp.
    • What is one change or adjustment you would like to make on the new PvP Season system, what would it be, and why?
      • Reimplement ranked ques, and its associated ranking system.

I recognize I am not the most talented at pvp, I am one of those trying to brake through the wall between unranked and ranked. But a game mode such as ranked is an achievement and mountain I want to climb. SWTOR has a solid pvp set up already. The changes that need to be made are to more basic issues than getting rid of ranked mode. SWOTR needs new pvp maps and game types (even if its a simple 8v8 deathmatch unranked). Bolster needs to be reworked for pvp, and a reason to get pvp gear specifically (a pvp stat would help this). Certain classes need to be tweaked up to par, and some need to be tweaked down to par (I understand this will always be an issue whenever there are multiple people playing with each other).

Lastly, dont be afraid to steal ideas. If something works for another game, take it! Take it, tweak it to make it your own. Ill say it again, SWTOR has some of the best pvp systems already, dont ruin it by taking away the pvp hardmode (i.e Ranked).

Love ya cats, thank you for your hard work, Peace!

  4. I will list the chain of events that lead to PVER invasion:

    1) Thyrsian gear does more DPS than Noble Decurion. The latter has more Endurance.

    2) GSF currency/mats motivate further grinding of Thyrsian gear.

    3) This makes its the go to gear - mainly for underachieving pvers, that will not have NIM gear.

    4) PVERs invade regs. Clueless, they watch as some people that actually know what to do strike goals with 3 players, 2 passes in Quesh Huttball. And weeks pass and they are still clueless! They are used to sit on a place and do their "rotations". Period.

    5) In the end, they and, now, I and my son, just wait for the luck of getting a team of people who are less clueless... It's extremelly frustrating.

    6) Some say that, with time, people will have their gear and the PVP environmant will be better.

Sorry, this should have been thought of in game design. Devs should know PVP would be invaded - and destroyed. This does not need PTS.

I started a PVP guild. It was losing players fast... One told me "This had everything to be great, but I won't waste my gaming time anymore. Better to get World PVP in another game".

What can DEVs do in a short time? Edit Noble Decurion gear? I am desperate here. I introduced my son to MMOs and wanted to have fun with him in summer. And wanted it in Star Wars. It's utterly impossible now.

Don't take this as some kid flamming. I sell myself "games" to the military. I know my ****.

    Lovely if some feedback.

To be honest, Im not sure your real intent is coming across because you sound very rude.

The op and subsequent comments seem to be focusing on how your not having fun in the current environment of Regs pvp. The idea is that if only pvpers were playing pvp then regs would be more fun. If I understand your statements right, You are upset because pver's are coming into regs to get better gear than what is available in pve. Which brings the legit question to you, if someone wants to go from pve to pvp, wouldn't they have to que anyways? this puts you in the same boat of complaining.

This is not a healthy idea for pvp though. I severely limits the influx of new pvpers, which will slowly kill that part of the game.

To be honest, I have only played pvp in Swtor, WoW, ElderScrolls, and DC universe (yeah I know). Reg PvP seems to be the same every where in terms of pve people jumping into pvp and not understanding the best strategies for pvp- they are just there for the currency/gear/achievement/whatever else etc. Complaining about this aspect is making you sound immature because you seem to be complaining about getting bad teams (which happens- its a part of gaming in general). Also, stating someone's critiques of your op and comments are not worthwhile makes you sound like a jerk and subsequently inept. Surely you dont mean to come off that way, but you are.

Now, I agree with the idea that there should be a pvp stat. Something that sets those with pvp gear apart from those without in pvp. But even obtaining this stat isn't going to keep you from have bad teams at times, and getting stuck with people who do not know what to do. If you want PvP where everyone knows how to play always go to ranked.

Lastly, if you are not having fun in regs then dont play regs. I agree with the idea that the weekly pvp mission is dumb to be focused on 4 wins instead of the old 20 matches(wins x2). Yet, I still very much enjoy the pvp experience in SWTOR, it's one of the best to me. Don't play a game, or aspect of the game, you dont enjoy. Those playing with you (your teammates and your son) will not enjoy the experience even though you may want them to.

  5. I have noticed this as well. I’m hoping none of this was intentional, which I’m hoping it gets fixed soon. The tooltips still claim to function as per usual, but obviously it doesn’t. Utilities not working properly, force push doesn’t reset the cool down of force charge, though it still claims it should. not having the utilities working for guardian really screws up game play. It’s lack is really noticeable in pvp.

    -Eric please fix this
