Seems to be an error with my highest ranked rating. My solo and my team ranked rating keep swapping with each other (Making my team rating highest earned lower then solo). Isn't a huge deal since it is getting restarted but it is something you may want to look into before updating.

I know that screening your opponents is lame but how else do you get the people who lose to keep queing?
Personally I like going up against the best teams. I will run with pretty much any comp and losing rating isn't a big deal. I can handle the losses. I will keep coming out either way.
But lots of people won't que at all unless they have the right comp with a reasonable chance of winning. This is a huge problem with our population and it is the same on other servers or will be soon.
The matchmaking doesn't work so there needs to be a way to make sure more competitive matches happen. Even if the screening happened you would still be forced to play them a few times before you could decline.
Would you rather everyone just gives up and let the game die? BW/EA already does enough to kill the game.
How would that keep people q'ing you would basically ***** out on fighting anyone you think "OMG TO STROOOONNNGGG" which leaves those teams without people to play........

I am also depressed about how quickly the ques have turned into 2-3 teams facing off until one gets tired of losing and leaves. The last few times I got in que have turned into 5 straight matches against Goof Troop and friends running better comps with better players. The best we have done is squeak out a few rounds against them.
How can any non-elite team compete against that? (Bastion + Pot5 don't laugh because this is an issue for everyone)
One of the guys in Mumble brought up the idea of having the choice to decline the pop if the two teams have sufficiently variable ratings. Same thing for if you lose 3-5 in a row against the same team. It would notify you in advance who you are playing.
Now this might cause too much que dodging and the good teams will have nobody to play, but mediocre and bad teams would have a way of breaking in. It is only a week in and the ques are f***ing dead. PvP in SWTOR has already been too neglected and we just don't have the population for ranked to work as it is now. Unless cross server somehow gets implemented soon the future for ranked looks gloomy.
We need to get more people in the ranked que for matchmaking to mean anything, and it needs to be done with our sub standard population of PVEers.
TLDR: Allow teams to see opponents in advance if ratings are vastly dif or if it is the same team you just played 3+ times in a row. You can decline the pop based on this. Good or bad idea?

You think its any better on other servers cause it isn't. Honestly just play the game even losses give you more ranked coms then a win in regs will. This game wont last much longer anyways with EA/Biofails track record. -
Why should there be a reward? There was a time when people pvp'ed for 'fun'.
Lol playing the same few teams is fun? Oh my bad, I don't usually even post responses to game mechanic or complaints about the game but if the majority of people agree then guess what there may just be a problem. Anyways I never said that it wasn't fun i very much enjoy arenas. To see 3-4 of the same guildies in solo ranked q because they have no incentive to play team ranked is pathetic. It is an issue that should be at least looked into (It won't) .

I like arenas but the point is that we are 1 week into this patch and they are dead. Its pathetic that this has already happened, same 3 teams playing each other. No incentive to play arenas, No cool unique gear, No unique mounts, titles etc. They just don't care and don't listen to there PvP community.

I cant barrier when I'm electro netted then pulled and killed 4 vs 1. Seriously learn game mechanics. Also you are on republic so please learn class names. I am a Sage not a sorc. And there was zero chance of us winning since your guildy quit right as round one started.

I lol'd at this post. First sage/sorc are the SAME class, Same abilities etc. If you think otherwise then you are beyond a dumb player. Second you knew after round one you were getting focused straight away so why would you not at least break/bubble yourself to stop the rape fest? Oh yes and i believe your team rating was what 1100? ya I think we both know how good you really are. Before you post on the forum calling someone out try actually try being good? I dont claim to be good but jeez. Anyways you have yourself a swell day there sir.
Edit: Oh and as for a guildy leaving yea he went offline a few seconds after sorry but I'm a firm believer that RL > a Game.

So I was in a Novare Coast match this morning against a very strong Midian premade on my under-geared and neglected Vanguard (I generally play Imp on this server). It was frustrating to watch a pug team of 8 beat these guys. I think the Imp team had over 4 million combined damage and about the same in healing. Yet somehow they lost.
A certain Sage from Goof Troop, who can be a total jerk, and whose name begins with a K and ends with an X, did, however, a fantastic job of directing the team to counter Midian. He was constantly directing us and telling us where to go, telling a Scoundrel to stay in stealth to block caps, telling us to expect an attack at west and not south, etc.
Even though we were out-dps'd and out-healed, and there wasn't a premade amongst us, we somehow won.
Question: On POT5 and Bastion the Imps are generally the better at strategy. Why do we Imps here just barrel in? Is there anyone with a brain on Imp side?

Woke up to this. First of all, I would like to apologize to the swtor community as a whole, for my horribly mean attitude towards you guys. Literally every single one of you carries me in every war zone I am in. I'm still new to this game and learning how to keybind and when to swap guard and stuff. Some very kind players from these guilds I never heard of like MVP and stuff have been helping me along the way, I hear they have ranked experience unlike me (because I was not the organized of ranked for B L I N K and did not single handily destroy that guild to then make a ranked team that would become the second best on the Harbinger before having to transfer here for any kind of challenge). That was some other Pacifism.
No, I am some noob with no ranked experience, and I am also a horribly mean person if Bobcow had to resort to the report feature instead of a come back. I am currently dating a 300 pound abomination known as elizabeth, who spends almost as much time eating cheetoz as she does playing this game, hence why she is able to carry me on her scoundrel.
Bobcow has been confirmed as the best player in this game, his guild "Core" is the top ranked guild ever and he has every single right to insult me in game, on the fleet, and to come on my stream and to tell me bad because I have more viewers than his beautiful, amazing healer Lady-Opar and her beautiful physical features.
Thank you Bobcow, just for... being. You are truly an amazing player with a lot to say and ironically I am definitely the one reporting people for their offensive language towards me.

Just wondering, is Wrath of Xedrix a dead guild? Never see them online anymore. Or, are you just waiting for 2.4? For much of the summer they would run two or three premades at a time. WOX was everywhere; now I rarely see them.

This is also untrue in my experience.
Goof Troop has two healers, whose names I have forgotten at the moment, who have healed me on my Vanguard way more than I am used to receiving, and I hardly play that toon and I can guarantee you they don't know me.
Because if we see you actually playing objectively we tend to help you out but when you are garbage and call Z**** HAXORS then ya F**k off lol.

High Valor ill say knows wat there doing. I will go as far as to say they are one of the best pvp guilds on imp side and on server. I my self is not in High Valor but i have played with High Valor in Ranked.
Now for all you trash talking "pvp" guilds that think they know how to pvp get over yourselfs you guys have a much better time going up against 1 lv 1 mob o wait you cant you'll just die to that to. I see Goof Troop trash talking very guild that has a premade at least 3 on both sides no mater rep or imp. Goof Troop has no respect for any guild and hacks every game.
Goof Troop knows crap about pvp i see their guild never helping when an inc is called always focus healing someone doesnt need to be healed and not healing others that need the heals. Goof Troop you guild is crap and a 2-bit no nothing hacking guild that cant win a wz fairly to save your lifes.
