  1. Adrenaline rush - vanguard/pt skill, slowly builds health. Anti root skill (hold the line i think cant remember exact name) increases speed slightly for commandos/mercs/pts/vanguards. Transcendence (sents group team buff). Veng guardians have increased speed, sages have force speed, plus a talent to increase speed movement if they pop mental alacrity. Snipers/slingers have roll and hightail it (increase speed), ops have roll I believe dirty fighting also has speed increases from one of the melee moves, shadows probably have some form of speed increases along wit force speed but I'm not that informed on shadows (one of the only classes I don't have at 55 along with a healing scoundrel).

    Most likely they are straffing.

To answer your question no they are most likely not hacking.

Most likely or not, (and all respect to the quoted player) speed hacking is rampant in this game. Yes, all of the above ability's grant a speed boost of some sort (though the use of 'Hightail It', and 'Scamper' are obvious) but they're not permanent buffs that don't at some point stop, which is exactly what the offending players characters don't do.

It is what it is, I deal with it, plenty of others deal with it as well, if Bioware could fix it they would (or they can but they don't, again I don't care). I pay b/c I want to play, when I don't want to anymore I'll stop, will the prevalence of 'Cheats' be a part of that decision? Maybe.

But if Bioware is simply ignoring it, at least they could have the guts to add the prevalence question to their exit survey lol.

  2. Last time I took my pants off and 3 shotted someone; she was less than impressed.

Pray tell. If you're so pro, leet skillzed and uber and so on, and I'm supposedly a total noobish newb keyboardturner for wanting a level playing field... Why do you need gear advantage too on top of your supposedly leet mad skillz to beat a noobish me in a warzone?....... But somehow I get the feeling that it won't be popular among the carried-by-gear ragers.

You should see the <Unicorn Stampede> mouth-breathers on Jedi Covenant, then again you've described them perfectly, so maybe you have. But yeah, they're the most Gear-dependent (hell, and voice chat dependent) bunch you'll ever run into in PvP, fight any of their members as part of a pug and it's like taking candy from a baby.

  3. Use your Pass Keybind at that point lol - Pulls can be used very strategically (on Defense or Offense) but the little baddie that does nothing for his team while waiting for pull to come off CD isn't going to be using it in one of those manners.

P.S. Save your CC break for going over the Fire (as I'm sure you know) that way when the baddie tries to pull you in and Environment Burn you to death you just bash his face in and laugh b/c he didn't get that tiny "Stiffy" he was going for after all lol.

  4. Either the Bioware devs in charge of PvP do not play their own game, or they are getting feedback from people who don't play on a level that would give their opinion any credibility.

They've been guilty of this since their 'Friends and Family' Beta testing lol. You'd think that they'd have figured out by now that by 'Cherry-Picking' their testers, they've screwed their results lol..

  5. Biggest thing you can do to up your Healing is to prioritize keeping Upper Hand running at all times. Whether that means you:

    A) Stop moving to open with an Underworld Medicine,

    B) HoT up yourself, another Healer, and a Tank while charging in and hoping for a Proc,

    C) Stealthing in and opening with Shoot First and a quick Blaster Whip before falling back to focus on Healing

Your choice, but don't underestimate the +% to all healing while Upper Hand is running, it's your bread and butter over the course of a WZ.

  6. What needs to happen is not a nerf to the classes, each healing class is already easy to take down, it's cross heals. Make it where there's a 80-90% healing reduction when cross healing so 3-4 healers can't godmode a warzone.

Funny, I thought cross damage was the problem, I propose a 80-90% damage reduction when multiple players are cross damaging the same target, so DPS can't God-Mode a WZ.

  7. Sorc is annoying, but a Sin can run along the walkways and knock them off at the beginning of a match, especially since the less positionally aware ones like to bunch up together.

Yeah, the Sins certainly can, and do, do that. And the Shadows, who would be the ones to actually do it to a Sorc, are too busy running 100m out of range of your Pass.

  8. First come the Players complaining that they can't compete against the BM's, and that it's just a gear grind, and that they're gonna /unsub and tell all their friends to too. Then you get the BM's complaining about the RNG Bag system and the mythical 1:4 drop rate that noone actually experiences to that ratio. Now comes the complaining that it's too easy to get to Valor 60 post patch, and that the BM's that got it before now deserve some manner of reward for it lol.

Congratulations to all the pre 1.1.5 BM's, you done good.

Artificers can complain about the crystals, cybertechs can complain about the speeders, everyone can just complain, complain, complain. It's a game, it (like all other MMO's) changes over time, in 6 months noone's gonna care how so and so got BM rank, including massive gains exploiting on Ilum (*cough, cough*) lol. At some point they'll increase Valor gains again, will we complain more then? Stop playing now if you think something you've done thus far deserves some manner of accolade. The game is still new, go play it.

  9. Eventually I'm sure that they will gain a debuff that prohibits them from requeueing WZ's for X period of time, until then:

A: Fight it out, get your Valor/Comms and in the event that you win that match it's all the sweeter.

B: Turtle up and let the opposing team farm you.

It's Server-based PvP currently, players and guilds aren't immune to the effects of a negative reputation. I have personally refused more than a few players PUG invites to FP's/Dailies/OP's on the basis of the attitudes that they demonstrate in WZ's, and it's quite funny to let them know why they aren't being invited lol.

  10. Anyone with a sense of reason and logic would see no direct comparison possible, since they don't even have the same abilities or mechanics.

    Maybe you're trolling?

Actually, Logic is all about direct comparisons, or relations if you prefer, and yours is flawed to come such a conclusion without taking the time to draw and support said comparisons.

YOU may very well feel that Scoundrel is the worst class in the game, for others that's absolutely not the case. My guild has cleared both Karraga's and Eternity Vault with a Healing duo of Commando/Sawbones.

I play the Sawbones, and I don't have the 'Mana' issues that you describe.

  11. Scrapper is really centered around stealth and single target (burst) damage, the Dirty Fighting tree has a Talented AoE DoT, and in general derives most of it's damage from DoT's, and Damage boosted by the presence of said effects. Keep in mind though, it is a Melee Range based tree, so buff up that Blaster Whip and warm up your pimp-hand.

I am a dedicated healer, but Scoundrel Dirty Fighting occasionally sucks me into a short-term respec, b/c it does take some work to be effective, and I despise laziness.

  12. Don't count on a pre-made vs. pre-made bracket any time soon. People form pre-mades b/c they want to increase their chances of winning, they don't do it so they can choose between your estimated 50:50 win ratio, and a longer queue time for the 70:30 they're looking for. It's just how it is.

What you're asking for is quite the slippery slope as it were.

Bad Bob: "I don't like getting beat on by 50's"

Bioware: "OK, we'll break the 50's out into their own bracket"

Bad Bob: "I don't like getting beat on by lvl 50 pre-mades"

    Bioware: "OK, we'll make a pre-made vs. pre-made bracket"

Bad Bob: "I can't play very much because of RL stuff, I just want to roll with three of my friends in a pre-made every now and then without getting rolled by Battlemaster pre-mades, can't there be a separate Battlemaster pre-made bracket?"

Bioware: "OK, we'll make a Battlemaster only pre-made bracket"

Bad Bob: "The Battlemasters are all Sith Inquisitors and Operatives and Lightning is melting my face while it's planted on the ground, and my friends all say they're going to unsub, and if they do then I will too. Can't you put a cap on the number of SI's and OP's in a WZ"

Bioware: "OK, we'll place a cap on the number of SI's and OP's allowed in the lvl 50 Battlemaster only pre-made bracket"

Bad Bob: "Man, what's with your stupid game, I'm a level 50 Battlemaster who typically runs with three other friends, and our queue times are over 30 minutes? I'mma gonna quit and tell them too too. Oh yeah, and my one friend is already unsubbing b/c you put some stupid cap on the number of Sages that are allowed in a WZ, so we can't all play together anymore"

And on, and on, and on...

  13. That's why some classes are considered to be a faceroll/ez-mode. I personally enjoy busting a little arse in the heat of the moment to keep the group alive, in fact I can't really think of another Class that I've had as much fun with in any game considering the balancing act that Sawbones Healing can be.

So as to not seem as though I didn't actually read your post (don't you love that? lol). Some DPS Classes are much more of a faceroll than others, some Tank classes are too in comparison to each other. It's a question of playstyle. I don't want ez-mode, I want to work a little bit when the poodoo hits the fan.

  14. Not really familiar with the BM gear yet, but on the Centurion gear for Smugglers there are two pieces that are identical (either Ear or Implant). Is it possible that one of these is 'bugged' and the +Alacrity on one of them was supposed to have been +Surge?
  15. so you are saying that there is a disparity between a fully geared battlemaster and a fresh 50.

wow what a revelation! gosh, i, for one, would have never considered this as a possibility! the horror!!!

you are seriously all a bunch of nerfherders.

If you have anything to add besides strawmen and ad hominems I'd love to hear it.

OOOH, someone must have just taken Critical Thinking 101 lol.

There is no 'Strawman' in there, and the only 'Ad Hominem' is the nerfherder comment, get over yourself. His comments, sarcastic or not, are totally relevant to the discussion at hand. Go out there and PvP, and earn your gear like everyone else lol.

  16. Like I said, it's mostly the people in this forum that like SWG crafting, which is an incredibly small minority of people.

    Most people hated SWG's crafting.

Cool, can you please point me to where all of these people that don't like SWG's Crafting are ranting about it, and why we on these forums should care about their opinions if they're not even posting here? Because in so far as I can tell, we're on the SWTOR forums, and as you said yourself, most people here remember SWG's crafting system fondly.

  17. This games crafting is a fart in the wind compared to SWG's exhaustive crafting system, so I doubt that there will be anything resembling the complexity of SWGCraft made for SWTOR.

That's not to say however that the Darthhaters, and TORHeads out there won't come up with something in which you can look up the recipes and ingredients available to the different Crew Skills, but it takes time, and similar to yourselves, most people are simply enjoying the game, and not compiling/entering a bunch of information for community websites.
