Reading the answers to this post I think most of 'em failed to understand what OP is asking. He's not asking for a General Chat merge, or a PvP chat merge, or a "in-phase" Gen Chat merge.
There's a command in game which allows you to create a personal channel. E: /cjoin MyGuildName. This adds a channel on the /n being n any number from 4 to 9.
What OP is asking is making those Personal Channels work cross-factions, which is a good idea.

Good idea. How about 3 companions at the same time? We should be able to play this game solo and doing FPs with our companions - 1 tank , 1 healer , 1 dps (if you are dps). A whole solo Flashpoint group.
Then SW:TOR would stop being a MMO and become another KotOR? I think you're supposed to team up with other players

As the tittle says it. We're returning players with HM/ NiM raiding experience wanting to get the rust off. Starting with a new HM prog team and moving to NiM next. Right now we're 3 people short. Aiming to raid equally IMP and PUB side
You can always send a message to Rhö (Guardian) or Khätto(juggernaut) in game for more info. Or just reply this thread.
Raiding time would be sat 8pm EST.
