  1. Youre coming on a bit strong. Most of the community know Sorc healers are strong. But getting all riled up about it because people disagree with your idea doesn't make them toxic.

    Most of the veteran pvpers have seen this before and you just have to find a work around. Also maybe consider the fact that Mercs are strong at the moment and most people are playing them and you will see more healers.

    If you give up because of two healers then you aren't using tactics or your team isn't. I've played against 3 Sorc healers many times and you can win.

     

    Whatever no one gives a schyt about this forum and it has no influence whatever.

    It was an idea, I kind of guessed it would be toxid down but whatever. RIP swtor forum may you toxic in pieces and ef you.

    Won't be reading this crap anymore and goodbye, because anywhere is a place for better ideas than this forum.

  2. You'd still run into very similar problems, perhaps even worse than now. The DPS specs with the best self heals would have an innate advantage over those with less self heals and those with no self heals are all.

     

    Mercs and Snipers would dominate even more in that sort of environment. Great DCDs, stronger self heals than others, along with great defenses and DPS. They'd still be OP as fuk. With no healers present, PTs, Marauders, Assassins and Juggs would fare even worse against Mercs and Snipers than they do even now. They would be filled virtually wall to wall with snipers and mercs, and the other classes present would be targeted first thing and get mauled, and melee would suffer even more against ranged for lacking support roles. It would be a war of attrition health wise and we all know who would win. Even with all classes/specs at present melee suffer due to ranged superiority and the class imbalances.

     

    It's an interesting idea in and of itself but I think playing anything other than Mercs and Snipers would be a liability to the group.

    Operatives as well would likely be good for it too [ due to stealth, self-heals and a CC kit that could choke a horse] .

     

    I get the point with the FOTM classes, BUT I still think these matches would provide more fun and chances to win than the actual meta with sorc healers everywhere(which is GG, no matter what).

  3. It's called matchmaking, or, in this case, the lack of it. Yet you managed to turn it into a b*ching about Sorcs. FYI if the enemy team has 1-2 healers and you have none, assuming equal skill, you're going to lose, period. Nothing to do with them being Sorcs or not.

     

    I'm so much waiting for the day when people will finally be able to tell matchmaking and class balance issues apart. I fear I won't live long enough to see that.

     

    P.S.: In the current era of roots, Electro Nets and 70% slows (none of those building any Resolve) flying everywhere, complaining about Sorcs is... funny, in a way.

     

    Despite your toxic approach to my suggestion of a new game mode, I will try to explain to you.

    1. I have at no point *****ed around about sorc healers. And everyone that played a couple of warzones know how massively overpowered this spec is. No need to dig deeper into that. They're massively overtuned and gamebreaking period. if the enemy team has 2 - let's say - op healers - a win can still be done, if everyone plays right. But vs 2 sorc heals it's GG. Fact and no ************ as you say.

    I have 1 or 2 thought when I read your text.

    1: Take constructive criticism and use it to your benefit. Dump toxic BS people and use them on your ignore list.

    2. Regs are regs. Not more not less. Try to give your best but realize: When up against a premade with sorc healers, it's often a loss. You might be better than the average premade dps player, but you know what: He gets 1-click healed to pretty much full health, so don't bother too much about it.

    And never forget: it's just a game. Pixels, nothing real.

    Hope you stay in game, because this game has lost too many players already

    Ofc my merc does well and gets good rating. No one cares and neither do I.

  6. So, I have been doing a lot of level 70 pvp lately. I’ve noticed that a lot of matches are very one sided in terms of being able to win as one team often has 1-2 sorc healers and the other doesn’t. Mostly it’s GG and 3 components, no matter how good or bad you play, where you position yourself, when and what you interrupt, dps, cc etc.

    Therefore my wish: Implement a new pvp game mode that has it’s own daily and weekly quest.

    It’s called “DPS Only Mode”. Simply, if you’re heal specced, you can’t queue for it. No need to create new maps for this mode. It just takes place on the regular warzone and arena maps.

    Would add some spice to pvp and maybe we get some interesting fights again without mini raidbosses aka sorc healers around.

    I don’t concider offhealing from dps to be a problem, as it is not as gamebreaking as sorc healers massive interference.

    So what do you dudes(and dudettes ofc) think about this idea? Tears from sorc healers or what? It's a 5 min respec.

    No offense. But i think you should read your own post again.

    and let me state it once and for all: snipers are the bottomfeeders.

    anyone saying they're "good at something" in pvp cannot be taken serious at all.

    play a sniper, use your limited def cds and you know what we are talking about.

  8. snipers are already very strong at area denial. they cannot be CC'd for unusually long periods of time, ranged attacks straight up miss (cover), and warriors cannot leap to them. they can also toss out a 45% acc debuff. finally, there are a slew of sniper utilities that further debuff opponent accuracy or buff the sniper's dodge chance. increasing the active duration of an ability that guarantees misses on top of that is a terrible idea. it simply buffs them at something they're already really good at.

     

    whatever's wrong with snipers, it's not for lack of dodge/defense/acc debuff abilities and talents.

     

    i think you never played sniper.

    it's the only class that causes my client to lag. you know why? because i die so fast the client has to calculate if i popped my def cds in time or if the 5 10k+ hits hitted me before i popped them.

  9. Balance is a lye bro. Everyone has his own balance. Dps want to dominate over heals, heals want to live forever.

    Phase walk can be removed but only with some DPS CC abilities like net or force choke. I totally agree that there are too many CC abilities in game, without escapes sorc will be dead very quickly.

     

    I've played pvp in this game since release. i did the smasher era, i did the ops era(short but painful), i did the power tech haha i rofl u era.

    i survived them all.

    but honestly i don't know if i can make it through the sorc heal/skank tank era.

    you always had a little bittle chance against previous fotms, but with the sorc heal/guard combo things are getting meaningless.

    i rarely do 65 pvp anymore, i have evaded to low and mid pvp. comms are not farmed in 65 anymore, no matter what class.

    65 pvp is dominated by skank tanks and sorc heals. so much, it doesn't pay off to do the dailies on the lvl 65 chars anymore. comms per hour is higher in low and mid.

    besides i can feel the wait times for 65 pvp going up slowly but surely - i think i know why.

  10. Something I've been noticing a lot lately is that no matter what I do, the tank almost never gets an up-vote at the end. It's almost always damage, kills, or heals. Believe me, I know how important good heals and deeps are, but please don't overlook the ones who get busted up for you.

     

    Bad enough in Hypergate when I sneak over to the other side on my shadow tank and keep the other team from capping for up to a minute by-myself, invariably pulling two more from mid, (and way longer is a healer joins me), but it got flat-out ridiculous this morning during Huttball.

     

    So I came into a match in progress and the team just got their first score. I run in on my jugg tank and see the carrier getting PILED on, so I force-charge in on the attackers and throw a guard on the carrier, and like Samwise Gamgee I carry him up Mount Doom stunning and force-shoving everything that comes after us to score.

     

    Then I do it again, and again. Then I even score when the carrier passes to me, and then run with the carrier again for another score before time ran and we won.

     

    All in all I mitigated 360k damage running the carriers and didn't get a single vote. At this point it's just flat-out demoralizing.

     

    *beep* flavor tanks. god mode, big hits... abuse more. get a mvp for that? cooome on

  11. I really don't think more ranged/white dmg immunity is the way to go.

     

    Do you ever had a problem killing a sniper because he had a 3 sec evasion on a 1 min cool down or what are you saying?

  12. Soooo.... sorc healers are really suposed to work the way they do?! I mean, these fellows are sort of lvl 70 already, while everybody else is still lvl 65. What's the point of having a specc that is completely uber and above everything else? I don't get it.

     

    Sorc heals are perfectly ok as they are.

    they act like NIGHTMARE OPERATION BOSSES! and thats perfectly ok and intended.

    so stop complaining.

    1. kolto overload as stated is just too weak. should be upped or deleted from the game.

     

    2. sniper evasion. more seconds should be added or the coold down should be reduced. this is important for pve too.

    i don't do tactical flash points anymore on low snipers without a healer. too much damage, too much aggro and not enough defense.

     

    3. mercs ho. 10 seconds standard. why use a point for that?wouldn't affect pve, but would give mercs a little bittle love in pvp.

  14. Objective based PvP with this game's tank and heal metas is pointless. A tank and a healer can keep nearly a whole team from achieving objectives almost forever. And the issue here is surely NOT that most DPS are bad, because most tanks and healers are bad as well (as most players in general are). Meaning that if skill is equal, then tanks and healers will rule. This is simply poor balance, or at least a balance that might work with death matches, but surely doesn't with objective based ones.

    Lesson learned. No improvement to be expected, so I won't waste my time and my money playing this anymore.

     

    "seperate the tank from the healer you noobs", is what you often get a a response.

    thing is: the tank and the healer both perfectly know that seperation is the only thing that could stop their little flavour run, so guess what: they stick together.

    hence you stop pressing buttons..because.....it doesn't change the outcome anyway. i bought a second monitor last month. exclusively for the sorch heal/guard games.

    you know what? so i can play browser games on the second monitor until the wz is finished. because whether i do 500 gcds or 10 gcds, it won't affect anything anyway. haha

  15. Dps takes pleasure from the game when they kill their targets. As a sorc healer that's good for me to survive in hard situations and save my team. That's not so interesting to die in permanent stun without having possibilities to survive, in that case I would rather play as dps.

     

    So you think sorc heal is perfectly balanced?

  16. I think stacking trauma up to a certain percentage would be a good idea.

    it could counter the massive heal per second a sorc healer dishes out.

    at least it could make him retreat, which would actually be a win/win situation when looking at the current pvp meta(lol).

    and with him , his guard dog would leave too.

    at least 1 node could be hold then(cough).

    question is: would this have too much impact on pve/ops gameplay, as balancing in this game obviously evolves entirely around pve?

    2. tanks in pvp. god mode while dishing out 10k+ hits on full 208. should be looked at. seems there's some mechanic abuse going on here.

     

    3. mercs ho. 10secs should be standard, w/out need for using a point for that.

     

    4. mercs kolto. delete this skill or make it worth triggering.

    i just wonder who the ef is gonna pay for this obscure, boring story mode?

    had enough of unkillable sorc healers. can't waste more life time on this crap.
