  1. I think I speak for more than just myself when I say that BioWare needs to stop coming out with ridiculous "New Player Guides", videos about how "great the game is!" and actually pay attention to the PROBLEMS with the game, you know, like the horrendously linear design of Ilum, the numerous bugs that still burden us in the end game and the rest of the game alike.

You've obviously confused your demographic. I get that its more about money than it is customer satisfaction at this point, but wasn't it obvious that you need to focus on actually fixing/creating end game content when you found out that most of the people who got to 50 within the first month have unsubscribed due to your total disregard of the community? All the DevTracker shows is that you address and answer the same, stupid drawn out questions asked by idiot players who can't follow basic instructions or learn to play the game, all too frequently without even providing us with any kind of solution to any of your REAL problems, writing it off constantly as a "thank you for your patience" or "working as intended".

Acknowledge the incredibly dissapointed hardcore-playerbase you've been losing since January, or I'm going back to Rift.

    Agreed

  2. To me it felt like leveling was too quick for all the quests and voice acting in game there should have been more incentive to do all the quests, I personally leveled doing pvp, space, instances and the class quests while skipping regular quests with an other person co-op to 50 it was fast and I felt like I missed a lot of the interesting stories as i got too much xp.

I've lost a lot of interest in the game which is a shame as I had high hopes for SWTOR with any luck things will only improve over time but the damage is done, subs will drop people will jump on the next games out there GW2, secret world tera what ever, we need more content or legacy system to make doing the skipped quests worthwhile doing.

hopefully SWTOR will work out its issues but in the mean time people are dropping which has a cascading effect on other players.

Good luck bioware, make this the game it should be

  3. I was just talking with a GM regarding the issue as the flashing lights have been giving me a headache.

The current suggested fix for the issue is too play without the UI showing you can do this by pressing Ctrl+U hope that helps and may the force be with you

The chat helped me out now I cant see anything but there's no flashing hotbar at least, the GM has sent my feedback on, hopefully we will get a fix soon!

    update

After further game-play I realized that whilst using the GM's advice I could now not click my keybinds this was a bit of an issue as I need to use my abilities to attack.

However all is not lost if you use the "Alt+Z" hide UI command instead of the disable UI one suggested by the GM you can happily use keybinds once again awesome!

Hope this helps people to not suffer from the current UI style with motion sickness, headache's or seizures until a fix can be implemented today.

  6. Looks very nice, here's hoping the look and feel of the video translates ingame, the driod lamps in the dark are very interesting hope it works out.

Side note once we've got the first content patch will more bug fixing come in as the game is frustratingly buggy atm.

  7. Please look at the numbers now Bioware.

I am not jumping up and down saying "PUT IT BACK". I am saying, however, that now it loses money.

Why should I pay 1400 credits on a C6 lockbox search for a box that returns 1000 credits?

Why should I pay 1900 credits for a high reward C5 lockbox that returns 1400 credits?

Remember your design goals BW, slicing is a mission skill for non-crafters. It is a way for them to utilize the crew skills to make money or get gear without entering the crafting world. This skill is no longer profitable as a mission skill.

Please consider adjusting it so the profit margin is smaller, not a complete loss now.

Please give BW some constructive forum posts on this topic, thank you.

Ive just had a 4hour gaming session where I ran slicing missions nonstop I ran only Rich yield missions of different ranks mostly level 5.

My income was 24,274 my outgoing was 16,430 total profit 7844

per hour profit is about 2k credits

I also got 7 mission items 3 epic and 4 blue of which can be purchased on the AH at default listing price or less.

As it is I don't believe slicing is worth the loss in a crew skill slot.

  8. I would prefer flashpoints/ops to only drop useable items by the groups doing them, doesn't seem too much to ask for.

However it maybe there is some design balance or time sink component that pure random loot gives Bioware that just handing out rewards faster they would miss out on.

Good luck next time, and remember not to stress over the early stuff as you'll be out of that gear pretty quickly.

  9. What's the POINT of immediate BoP? It DOES need to go. BoE; or BoTime[iE: BoP but after a x amount of time; until then its tradeable) as it prevents drama from misrolls and the such.

It still relies on the person who won to willingly trade the item though, so ninjas will still happen, I am going to be using master looter in my groups from now on though.

  10. This is a big problem sadly, Its a shame they didnt innovate theyr loot system.

    Should have been like this.

Need: Only if stats match your subclass. (locked)

    N Comp: Need for Companion.

    Greed:

    Pass:

Sadly I doubt we will see a system like this anytime soon, just black list ninjas, and make sure not to group with them in future.

I agree fully, seems a few people are having trouble already with the loot system, I guess during beta people were more easy going.

  11. People are still getting used there characters so mistakes will happen, also they could have selected need for the companion or just be a loot Jawa.

I would prefer a PUG mode for loot where you may only role Need if you can equip that item on your character and the main stat eg aim or str matches your class.

Also add a separate companion need button (rated above greed) if any of your companions can use that item.

Most of the issues with loot can be eliminated by simply grouping with more experienced players or friends though, I hardly ever pug but if I do I would like more security in the future.

  12. Below Need, above Greed. Companion Need.

I am all for this, but I would add forced criteria to being able to click need in the first place as in if you cant equip the item on your character you can't even press the need button.

The fact is unless its forced while in a pug you never can tell, why even give the ninja the option to need if they don't like your chosen loot options they can get another group.

So I would ask for your system need/companion need/greed but forced specifically for when you don't know your group members.

  13. The big X factor on REing is the chance to get a prototype schematic when Reverse Engineering an item. For example, let's say I make 10x [Terrible Green Color Crystal], which are premium(green) quality items that give +1 willpower(totally making this up for an example). I could sell them to a vendor and make some cash, or I could RE them and get a minimal amount of mats back. Every time I RE that item, I have the chance to discover how to make [slightly Less Terrible Green Color Crystal], a Prototype(blue) quality item which gives +2 willpower.

one thing I would add is that I noticed in beta I had synthweave and was making bracers the cheapest item i could make for a couple of materials and selling for more than the cost of the mission to collect the materials. My girlfriend took artificing making color crystals they however sold at a loss for a few times lower than the mission cost, so make sure you experiment on what your selling to get the best results when making to sell to venders at least, on the GTN color crystals easily made more money than my bracers and sold fast.

Regarding RE there are generally a few recipes you can get from one item say mods for example you could have the recipe for +8 endurance then from that get a prototype recipe for 8 more by repeatedly RE them.
