  1. Cmon bioware... this is really frustrating. You cant just shrug this under the rug. The issue is gonna return time and again. All we ask is a bit of honesty. Reach out to us, because we are trying to reach out to you and you're just pretending nothing is wrong. Cmon... do you want this game to have a sustainable growth or not?

This thread was started in April. You all are still posting in August without even a response from a Dev. Wise up peeps, step away for a sec, and get a clear picture.

They don't care. I wish you all the best, 10 days left and I'll make sure I never support another EA product.

  2. Its not completly reset everytime, but close cd for reckless is 1.30 min cloaking will take of 1 min but then again it is close.

I still think that we should be able to use HS out off stealth just without the KD, would enable us to deal some more damage, would be nice if we could get a crit/surge bonus to HS when used from stealth, but then it might be OP.

Set bonus is what gives them the third stack of recklessness plus lowers the CD by 15 secs. So they only have to be out of stealth for 15 secs before it will be reset. I don't see why we can't have a talent like that for tech attacks but leave it at two charges since all of our attacks are tech. Make it have like an internal proc CD of like 10 secs so you can't HS/BS out of stealth and do 15k in damage before somebody gets up cause then we'd be back to square one with ppl and their torches and pitchforks calling for the nerfbat again.

  3. http://www.torhead.com/ability/cAzQA13/recklessness

Gives them a full stack of discharge and nearly guarantees a crit for shock. Easily can take off over half of anybody's health, so then all they have to 'hope' for is one crit on maul to get you into assassinate level, which as you can see with Yoda's fight against Spitta, isn't difficult at all. If any class is absolutely reliant on crits, its ops/scoundrels. An assassin has damn near guaranteed crits for their force attacks, which is reset for them every time they go back into stealth. Why Ops aren't given the same treatment is beyond me. Well, I know why. It's because people QQ'd and cried so much about us at the start of the game, our class alone is what broke PvP and made the million + users that left the game after a few months unsub  /saracasm

  4. If you break their hard stun, all they have to do is vanish/sap and seethe.....game over.

1v1 against a good player, you have to eat their entire burst and they have to eat yours to prevent the vanish/sap and regen.

Not necessarily because most of them love to use their Force Shroud since they know all of our attacks are tech attacks, which gives them 3 secs of God mode against us. Everything is situational, you just have to be mindful of what CD's they use, and if they do vanish without force shroud up and sap you and they aren't dotted that's a huge fail on the operative's fault.

  5. I decided to just unsub and take my money elsewhere. It's the only way BW will react is when PvPers decide enough is enough and start pulling out from this game and their amazing lack of repairs to bugs that exist for months, or even since launch like with the ghost GCD's. I'll be back for 2.4 in a few months to check up on things but I won't continue to support the mediocrity that is PvP and their pathetic excuses, or lack of, for blatant broken game mechanics.
  6. Best tactic is most Assassins don't know how to react to being flattened on their face so the first thing they do, like in your case, is low slash as they get up. I ALWAYS pop dodge once the knockdown wears off because of that so its forces them to use all force attacks or most of the time they low slash anyway and blow it. That leaves just their hard-stun left which you can CC break and finish the job.

But in all honesty they don't need all their CD's to kill us, but we need all our CD's to kill them which is absolutely retarded indeed.

  7. Not looking to jump into a 'building' project. Been there, done that only to watch guilds/teams fall apart for various menial reasons. Would prefer to play marauder but also willing to jugg tank as well. Extensive background in carnage spec so switching between rage/carnage isn't an issue at all. 11/14 conqueror gear on Mara, have full tank/aug set for Jugg and also nearly full conq dps set as well for respec when needed. Tryouts very welcomed as well, either mail here or whisper Tobi'san/Protbot or send a mail to either of these toons in-game.

Note: No TAW, I have no desire to look at your site or apply.

  8. Vigilance is a very viable spec, and you're proposing that smash is all there is? I'm sorry that Vigilance takes more skill and finesse than most players have, but that does not mean it's not viable for Ranked..

Vigilance is a poor-man's combat spec. Has less survivability, less burst, less utility, and can't keep on their target as well as their sentinel/mara counterpart because they lack the roots that are naturally built into the combat/carnage spec. A jugg/guardian won't take the melee spot from a combat/carn marauder so that leaves the other spot to be taken, which will always be given to the aoe spec. It isn't even remotely Ranked viable, just like a madness sorc/sin, concealment op, PT anything, Annihilation marauder. To suggest otherwise will make devs think the spec is fine and doesn't need tuning, which it does. This coming from somebody who primarily plays Vengeance Jugg and Combat Marauder.

  9. Confirming it's been happening to me yesterday. And it wasn't during pvp too. Been questing on my marauder. Leap will trigger, but I never ended up near the mob. May have appeared next to the mob a sec, then rubberbanded back to my old location. Had to run to them as I used up my leap.

It's like something updated my new location after a leap, then reupdated with my old location.

Slow much? PvP is one thing PvE another. I never had it happen to me on PvE until the latest patch. You can say what you want but i am sure of it as i am sensitive to such issues since i have a long fight trying to take ability delay/ghost CD's to the atention of the devs.

In PvP it did fail on ocasion but it wasnt constantly like it happens now. Its not the same bug. Something was changed with the last patch that made it worse.

Well lucky you that you're just now experiencing it in PvE but people who regularly do PvE, like the above quoted person, has also been reporting the same bug since the start of this thread and prior. It is the same bug and it got really bad after they 'fixed' operative rolls getting stuck after being rooted/stunned during their roll, which is still borked. So they managed to not fix one bug and break a properly working mechanic in the same fix, which is what I've come to expect from BW.

  10. Its more like 2-3 weeks. Less drama and more objectivity pls! It happened with the latest patch (nightmare mode ops). A bit before the Gree enevent restarted.

Uhh you obviously have a comprehension problem. Check the first post of this thread. We've been reporting this for now OVER two months because this was one of many threads that started in the PvP section and was finally moved here following a dev response that we got about it back in June. There's plenty of drama when I can't even force charge somebody without falling 10 meters+ from my target or trying to intercede and landing in pits/pools/fire traps and whatever may fall between me and my target.

  11. It is so obvious, elite warlord.

Asassin must kill or die. Until he is out of combat medpack and 2 min cd is his only way to replenish part of his health, considering he is not in madness spec.

Whenever spec you are, you have heals. If you insist to only use your damage, you will lose to pure dps in dps race. And you deserve it.

    That's how it is designed.

And after this you will go to forums and cry for execute, for mortal strike, for autocrit, for marasent facetank defensives.

Why not play pure dps then, if it fits your style.

Last time I checked an Assassin wasn't a PURE DPS CLASS seeing as it has ummm... that tanking tree to the left. By your argument, they should be doing less damage because they have the ability to tank and share the awesome cooldowns that said tank uses. Better CD's/Better DCD's/Higher damage/Better CC's/Better utility/Has an execute... Should I go on about the superb state DPS Sins are in for PvP or are you gonna come up with some ludicrous-***, clown-shoe response on why they deserve all that in comparison to an operative 'because we can heal ourselves'?

  12. @johnelias: if you go to the torparse dummy statistics, the first non slinger/sniper is Invic, which is carlenux's operative.

And you can look at his attacks and see they are from using lethality NOT concealment. In all honesty most of these changes should be put directly into the concealment tree, I don't know what lethality could use since it got such a huge buff in 2.0, and quite honestly medics need a definite nerf to their energy management because that tree is just LULZ right now.

  13. What I don't want is class balance every other month which leads to a revolving door or nerfs/buffs and fotm classes. .

We already have that now where there are best healers by far in pvp, best tanks by far in pvp, and best dps by far in pvp. What makes it worse is the fact that they remain that way for entirely too long because the development team obviously has no idea what it's doing, even not thinking about just making minor tweaks (not gutting like the love to do) by making small incremental changes to certain abilities to either lower/raise their effectiveness.

I would rather have a revolving door of once a month a new flavor come out rather than what we see now, where the most OP classes remain that way for half a year or longer due to just outright ignorance or lack of caring, which the latter seems the greater possibility.

  14. What was really stupid was dropping the health loss from 50% down to 25% in the rage tree. Now people can pop UR/GBTF while getting focus-fired and lose just 25% of their health rather than a much more substantial amount due to being focused and only have to wait 45 secs before they can do it all over again.

While at 50% people would just wait til they were near execute range and pop it but now it's become a staple to use it in the rage tree if more than 1 person is beating on them because of the reduced health lost AND the fact that the cooldown on it is dramatically lower.

  15. They need SMALL tweaks to coefficients, quiet nerfs to certain skills (small percentages at a time), and tiny adjustments to resource costs. Things that change the status que without majorly revamping the system. A bi-weekly schedule like you said would help a lot with that IMHO.

    Just like this:

Guardian and Juggernauts continue to overperform in Focus and Rage specs. Force Sweep and Smash have had their damage lowered by 4%.

Commando and Mercenary healing continues to underperform compared to similarly-skilled healers with other classes. Medical Probe and Rapid Scan have had their healing increased by 5%.

With small tweaks like this, no one can really complain, since 4% isn't a lot (except it is a decent chunk in auto-crit situations). Tiny healing increases don't drastically change rotations or power levels. Plus, people can look forward to two weeks later when the changes are revisited.

Things like this go a long way, small regular tweaks, bumps, and adjustments that can help lower/raise performances of classes/specs that need them. On the other hand, I think BW just loves to have knee-jerk reactions and try and do complete class overhauls and either over-inflate them, such as the case with ops/scoundrel heals or the forum favorite rage/focus, and completely put into shambles other classes, like Assault/Pyro spec for example.

  16. The last time we saw class balancing was in April with the release of the large patch you all made us purchase (cause lets face it, it's hard to call what we got an 'expansion') and now we as a community are speculating, or more like praying, that we see a rebalance in the so-called PvP patch slated for 2.4. Prior to that, it was the ungodly 1.3 that introduced to PvP bubble stuns and smashtards, which again went on for MONTHS until 2.0 hit (smash is still completely over-performing). The true question in all this is why when there are obvious exploits/complete lack of class balance and broken game mechanics does it take the developers to get off their backsides and pull themselves away from re-skinning things for the CM to do some balancing?

It is absolutely hysterical that we have only had 2 major re-balances in the nearly 2 years of this game with very few minor tweaks inbetween. This is a call for developers to listen to your community, stop hiding behind Eric and Amber with their "we'll pass this along to so-and-so" responses we get, and do something to actually fix this pandemic. Healers, specifically operatives, are out of control. PT's/VG's are an absolute joke with their overnerfs, Op concealment/Scoundrel scrapper is extremely underwhelming, Balance Shadows/Madness Sins are as far as I see on Po5 an extinct species, along with other specs that need addressing and HAVE NEEDED IT FOR MONTHS!!! There is no way this game will continue to survive and keep their subs, especially on the PvP side, with such a blatant lack of attention to something so important.

Class balancing needs to be done more often, and with Arenas on the horizon will only be exacerbated if you all continue to ignore it the way you do now. People will play Arenas, find the 'perfect comp' and we'll have the same cookie-cutter teams that we already see in Ranked. If you all are in anyway thinking of a future for this game, it begins with making sure that the classes get tweaked to keep them from over/under performing and to not let them do so for such dramatically long times. Stun bubbles for well over 6 months? That's acceptable to you all as a development team? It's a slap in the face and it's about time we as a community start to demand attention to areas that need them in areas of importance. Sorry but making sure a mask doesn't clip into a hood or fixing a stupid jump animation shouldn't take priority over class balancing. These issues at a MINIMUM should be looked at every couple of weeks with larger balancing occurring at the very least every 2 months, not what we're seeing now.
