  1. so the group does get an increase in max health and max mastery now when bolstered?

I will understand your answer will be for when bolstered in story mode and NiM for DF since that is where you tested it.

We were three and just went into the instance and attacked the first adds. I reviewed the video again, looks like mastery gets buffed correctly, but no effect for endurance.

  2. Hey, regarding your values for alacrity and accuracy.

By using the equation for accuracy I get 8.99542(..) for 1589 accuracy rating. Don't you need 1590, which equals 9.00013(...)?

Same goes for alacrity, you need 7.14285(...) for 1.4s which is reached with 1213 rating = 7.14688(...).

    What do I miss?

    Thanks for your work!

  3. All it is a small GCD nerf with the ability Phantom Stride or whatever it is called. It isn't going to make or break the game. That ability is only used to enclose the distance between you and a target, therefore it is used rather rarely. Whoever says that it is a DPS loss probably doesn't have good DPS to begin with since it's not even a part of their rotation, and therefore shouldn't even be used.

As Deception it builds 3 Stacks Static Charge.

    Hatred gets proc for Eradicate.

    Tank gets proc on Maul.

With Reapers Rushutility you get a proc for Assasinate

    :-)

  4. You can face some Problems. Your main task is to keep your companion alive, since the die really fast if they stand in AoEs. Their 3s healing channel is really annoying, because they won't interrupt it, when you set them to passive...

Sav'rak: When it announces it's slam, immediately set your companion to passive. Your companion should always have enough time to come to you, avoiding getting pushed from the platform.

Bonus Boss: Your companion will die in the first destruction phase, no chance to keep them alive - they freeze and become unable to move. I usually put them on dps for this fight.

End Boss: AoE with stacking debuffs can kill your companion really fast - the healing channel is the only companion's ability without cooldown. I got best results with deactivating this ability and trying to stay alive with defensives. With a bit training you can adapt to the boss' rotation to predict the AoEs and set your companion early enough to passive.

  5. I'm confused, because if I follow your rotation, the first Blade Storm in quickbar #2 is still on cooldown. And in the Dotspread section you alter the rotation for AoE fights and single target fights - so for what type of fights is your first rotation? Maybe create different visualisations, this would be easier to follow.

In the last section you mention Rupture, which is a Marauder ability. And why four times chilling scream, I only see it twice in your visualisation.

Basics for a single target rotation would be using Blade Storm (BS), Plasma Brand (PB), Overhead Slash (OS) and Vigilant Thrust (VT) on CD. You get this for example by starting with this order: OS -> PB -> BS -> Filler -> VT. Then always use the four abilities when they become available. All other cooldowns revolve around having enough focus for the core abilities while not wasting any. Since the nerf of Persistent Chill Freezing Force is no longer viable as a single target ability.

  6. Instead of bringing back expertise, why not have a bolster that makes everyone equal - regardless of gear.

e.g. If I use a 240 Adept Enhancement, the bolstered stats will be the same as if its a 248 Adept Enhancement. Same for Armorings, Mods and all corresponding stats.

  7. I never really liked questing with my Sentinel. I had the same issues with having to heal after each fight, enemie dies before I reached the core rotation etc. I always was annoyed by that focus management and having to spam strike :D

I needed some time to bring my sentinel to max level - That was the moment I began loving my sentinel, but I still avoid (daily) questing ;)

  8. A New Hope: Luke has a visor over his face and can't see. Obi Wan is trying to get him to stop using his physical senses to attack the probe and use the force. Accuracy there is... where exactly?

Doesn't make sense for force wielders to need accuracy at all.

Maybe it's more like how accurate a force action is executed - less accurate performed actions are easier to dodge. (But this would imply you need accuracy for healing, too :D)

  9. I can picture mitigated damage as an instant heal of the same amount. As long as the hit does not kill me, this view works perfectly fine.

For dps-off-healing, it feels weak enough. Maybe focused defense or adrenaline rush are a bit outstanding, but they "only" heal myself.

Guard should be for tanks only, but i'm fine with taunts on dps specs.

  10. I like the idea of making the transition between the bosses more interesting, maybe adding a reward - so they are like bonus objectives / mini bosses - could make it worth to spend more time in this OP.

The HP is not meant to be actually dpsed down! There are mechanics that damage the boss much more than the group damages him. You also have reduced revive time down to 30 seconds, so you can pretty much keep reviving during the entire encounter! This means that they did try to make it easy for people. Also, this is the FINAL boss so it should be a bit more difficult, same as Brontes, Council, Kephess etc.

They should speed up the third phase (interrupting), it's just boring in VM and SM.

  11. No, Darkemace has it right, except I think it was Blade Dance. In any event, I always called the Guardian version (single sabre, reverse grip, you turn around and stab the enemy that's now *behind* you) "Nut Stab" because I used it mostly on silvers and above, that are bigger than ordinaries and weaks, and in particular are bigger than my BT2F guardian, so she stabs them in the nuts  rather than the belly.

Oh, just watched a video about master strike. I simply forgot about the animation :(

  12. Just a few minutes ago I read from guild chat that Nathema Hm is easier than Nathema Veteran ... "or they did something wrong with the boss' self-healing". It sounded as if they failed, but always succeed in HM. I haven't played that FP yet, but still I'm curuious now : Is that true ? Is HM / Master really easier than Veteran ?

Speaking from personal experience, they are equally difficult. In HM you normally have a Tank and Heal, all level 70 with >242 item level. Which makes the feel easier.
