  1. Keep inmind that its only the "white" dmg of cull that gets nerfed not the poison effects it triggers which is the main dmg of cull anyway since using cull without dots on the target is kinda useless either way. so the nerf isent as big as you guys find to believe.

     

    Right now a laze target cull without dots does around 17k without relics or adrenal. If you factor in the 25% reduced damage you lose around 4k per cull activation. Seems pretty big to me lol.

  2. I spent some time examining this and going over some logs with Luna, as well as discussing it with Sycaro/Veldix. I never thought to compare it to the 2-Cull rotation however to highlight the problem. Will do a bit more testing to see wassup, though if its as suspected would be nice to have this fixed

    Maybe it is intended lol. If it really is such a big dps loss then fixing it would put slingers way ahead of snipers.

    For example this parse by a slinger http://parsely.io/parser/view/273322/0 is just barley behind mine and im 2 enhancements away from being fully min/maxed.

  3. Hmm interesting. So looking at your top parse of each you have roughly the same number of dot ticks (140-150), dirty blast bleeds (39-42), and culls (18). But 430 hits (or 215 considering MH/OH) vs. 265 in Virulence. And if you qualitatively count the hits in the first two windows (second would have the decayed version), I see about 30 for each in Virulence, but ~30 and ~20 in the first vs. second respectively. This would be consistent with not getting Hemorrhaging blast hits during the decay.

     

    I'll look at this more later.

     

    An easy way to test this on a slinger would be to just apply dots, let them run until they get to the decayed version and then apply hemorrhaging blasts and cull.

  4. This is doable with either clicking or keybinding, but having keybinds makes it easier to perform your rotation during an actual fight where you have to move, switch targets, get interrupts etc.

  5. AP wasn't the topic here, but it's sure on that list, too. Those are the three specs that are overperforming both on Dummy parses (Engi) AND in raids (AP you bet, Marksman obviously and Engi, too, if you know when to forgo your positional AoEs for other fillers -> Beats most non Sniper/Slinger ACs every time).

     

    So what im getting out of this is you want to nerf every class that beats you on both the dummy and in raids?

  6. as a general rule the rotation is relatively.

     

    The general block is:

     

    PP -> IP -> EMP -> Filler -> SoS -> PP -> CD -> Filler -> EP -> SoS

     

    The Fillers being:

    Grenade

    Orbital (with energy CD)

    overload (with the passive every 20s)

    covered escape (dummy or massive boss)

     

    The Opener is slightly different:

     

    Precast Orbital -> snipe -> CD -> EP -> SoS -> Main Rotation

     

    Lunagazer

     

    Edit, there are advanced strats and stuff to be found in guides but this is a decent primer

     

    Grenade is not a filler. Its an ability that is part of the rotation and should be used after EVERY EMP discharge because it applies a stack of electrified railgun and and restores 5 energy ( its free after every EMP so using it is +5 energy).

  7. To be fair, those numbers were running off an incorrect armor value.

     

    Have some updated numbers (source):

     

    01 - 6917 - +4.34% --- Sniper - Engineering || Gunslinger - Saboteur

    06 - 6705 - +1.15% --- Sniper - Marksman || Gunslinger - Sharpshooter

    09 - 6603 - -0.41% --- Sniper - Virulence || Gunslinger - Dirty Fighting

     

    These number the average dps for a 1.5 mill dummy..?

  8. For example with alacrity I on a dummy could manage putting in ravage+blast in gore window without berzerk - but never in ops evnironment, because of ability delay and lag.

     

    Not all of us have ****** computers lol and I have not noticed any ability lag in a long time.

  9. Sucks you spent money on trying to get that lucrative 2 weeks before an expansion top parse but you uploaded your log to her site lol sorry its not there. You could use http://torparse.com/ if you really only wanted to analyse your parse. No one cares if it was for the lulz you broke the pretty standard parsing standards (legacy, class buffs, nim pilgrim) and got 5500 with that then expect people to believe you got 5500 again in 1 single parse. a whole 300 - 400 higher than anyone in (PTs) 2nd place and below. And a whole 140 more dps than the top PT who people actually know in the HM/Nim community and has proven he is a top tier player in actual raid scenarios. Okay mate good luck trying to convince us all of that god rng you had ;)

  10. Just curious, but do heroic moment legacy abilities do more damage than regular attacks or something? As in, does Legacy Project hit more than regular Project?

     

    I thought they were just like their normal counterparts (only not restricted by class and costing energy).

     

    They do significantly more damage. Normal orbital strike does around 6k but, heroic moment does about 30k.

With what they just posted about Critical giving Lower % for both crit chance, plus Crit multiplier then it currently does, and Virulence/DF needing a good amount of crit to sustain it's rotation, will it even be viable anymore? I ask, because it's my Preferred spec, and I really don't like MM/SS (tho I do use it for certain fights).

     

    Might be better to run alot more crit in 4.0 than you would now seeing as it increases 2 stats now as opposed to one stat.
