  2. aye, im having a BLAST. Usually i just get such a kick from PvP...well PvP still wins by far though, BUT it really feels like one of those REALLY good bioware games. Good story, I care for the first time about ALL my companions, etc...

     

    The graphics in the new areas are GREAT.

     

    The new PvP armor sets, specially the "non-ranked" ones look like crap though.My only complain...and I usually complain A LOT.

     

    It feels really KOTOR-ish

  3. why did you force anni into the dot spreader template? nobody wanted it, and it's pretty plain at this point, everybody hates it. anni was always the highest single target dps against real bosses. the cost of this was no viability in pvp and weak dps in any target switching environment. AND EVERYBODY LOVED IT! it wasn't broken before, but since 3.0 the only conversations anybody have about it are how to fix it, when is it going to be fixed, why are the proposed fixes so lame... why....?

    Now it seems the whole game is boring actually; the only fun class for me is Deception assassin now...rage or fury what ever jugga is too unidimensional. Vengeance is just...well not for me; I'ts quite easy to defeat imho. but mara; my main since beta...Im sad

     

    Last nail to mara...I even considered returning to wildstar even if the queues are 20 mins

     

    NOONE ASKED FOR DOT SPREAD AND AOE DAMAGE FOR A CLASS THAT WAS SUPOSSED TO BE, AND WAS A SINGLE TARGET HIGH SUSTAINED DAMAGE CLASS

  4. This didn't answer anything really. All you said is that Annihilation and Carnage are fine GG. My question in the previous thread was about changing how Annihilation / Watchman plays, not about it's damage and you didn't even mention it.

     

    This just confirms that the balancing team is completely disconnected from what the player base wants.

     

    Exactly; im sick of this guys; they made a decent game into BORING game to play.(Anni/watchman)

    and the one spec they claim is underperforming is actually the one which works "less ****" in PvP

  5. bolster must stay below 60, but in 60 bracket we dont need it.

    what we need is recruit gear with smaller main n sec stats than current tier 1 but with 2018 expertise.

    recruit gear could not be exchanged for credits and would be moddable so anyone can have their look's :p

    expertise check when queing would be mandatory, so if you got pve gear, you cannot que and play wz's

     

    Aye, that would be really cool.

  6. If you do that, here's something that will happen. Necessarily, (A) there will either be PvP gear, or (B) there won't be. If (B), it's probably because bolster makes gear irrelevant, or that the only gear you could get would be from PvE but then it would make PvP a farce and I doubt it would happen. So (B) will definitely be the case. From then, there are necessarily three possibilities.

     

    (1) PvP gear is the same as PvE gear in terms of power i.e. hardest to get in PvE = RWZ gear

    (2) PvP gear is better than PvE gear

    (3) PvE gear is better than PvP gear

     

    (1) and (3) are unacceptable for most of the PvE crowds who will rightfully feel forced to do WZs to gear faster, because of how flawed and tedious acquiring gear in PvE is. We don't want the backpedaling bads invading our RWZs, got enough mouthbreathing clickers in regs.

    (2) is unacceptable for most of the PvP crowd. I, for one, dislike everything about operations from forming groups, to the loot system and to the fight themselves.

     

    Seems like expertise is the better option. OR, they could make PvP gear bolster to be better than PvE gear in instanced PvP, but seeing how bolster never seems to work as intended, I doubt it would be implemented with much success.

     

    Why are we even talking about this. The day they make PvE gear influence PvP im gone forever. I HATE PvE and PvErs in WZ. Just no.

    I wont and havent left my deception; gameplaywise its TONS of more fun than hatred. Its fast, reactive bursty whatever.

    tried hatred a couple days in wz, and the gameplay just nah for me; too slow.

     

    I´ve been doing average 900k with good healers 500k in normal pugs, never lower than 3rd place in wz.

    usually most solo kills and killing blows too.

     

    Its just so confortable to play.

     

    Hatred could not stand it; and fighting against some hatred sins, duels, etc, I´m wining a lot of 1v1, maybe 60% dependso n the situation; duels , most of them;

     

    i think everyone should just play what feels better for them; you will always perform better; dont care what others say. this is PvP ofc.

  8. my mara was my main.

     

    I have a vengeance and a deception toons at max also.

     

    playing my mara I feel gimped now in comparisson at all I can do with the other classes.

     

    I usually go into some wz with the mara as warm up, keep reflexes sharp etc; then I logg with my assassin, and I just laugh at everything.

     

    Now , that makes me sad, cause I feel marauders are in an unfair place from the competitive point of view; they r still fun.

     

    I have my mara now only for crafting till they rebalance the game. I really miss our sabre throw; REALLY.

    And the heavy armor + defence of my juggernaught is INSANE. ***! If they make enraged defence a warrior ability, or swap it to mara in exchange for that stupid easy to nulify undiying rage; it would be fair.

     

    Think about it, we r squishy and have to, in order to survive ONE cc, let go of half health, now, my jugga has heavy armor + that enraged defence...+ roughly the SAME dps; etc..

     

    Man, Mara I loved you so much, but the best mara right now is a vengeance jugga.

    It s so good in comparisson, i feel like a freeking traitor for playing it; but yah well...mara to the crafting shelf right now for me.

    SWToR ruined HeroEngine, HeroEngine did not ruin SWToR.

     

    Be sure to read the comment sectior relies from some HeroEngine devs who provide info such as EAware not taking updates from the HeroEngine devs that would have made the engine better than EAWare's cobbled together alpha.

     

    Look at the actual HeroEngine as it is today, then look at the HeroEngine as EAware shaped it. Big difference. But HeroEngine gets vilified because their only mistake was licensing their tech to EAware.

     

    TESO abandoning HeroEngine was a direct result of clueless moronic sheeple thinking of SWTOR's version of HEroEngine and slapping Zenimax around with bad PR over it. "ZOMG!! You're using the same engine as the Tortanic! OMG you're gonna so fail! I'll never buy this game!". Zenimax caved like the inexperienced suits that they are. "Oh, no no! We're just using HeroEngine to make the mock up! We promise!".

     

    If the HeroEngine devs had a way to legally sue EAware for ruining their reputation, I'd back them 100%.

     

    Errr... when you install TESO the first logo after zenimax you see is HERO ENGINE on blue letters etc.

    so what are you talking about??

  10. I'm sorry but I can not believe, in PvP, pure healers are allowed in combat Vanish...Just wow..wow...

     

    its freeking stupid to say at least, that a pure healers class can stealth IN COMBAT...

    is easy to get em out of combat etc, but anyway this is a no go

  11. Warhammer had a pretty good concept of how it could work, and I would kill to see it properly included in SWTOR (PvP team still has some guys from Mythic, I believe)

     

    well, the guys forom mythic that did the good stuff went away from that game ...then came EA and that game sank FAST.

    they did, without any exageration, ruin what was good about that game and put a fat PvEr as game designer who destroyed what was good and implemented some TERRIBLE game design features.

     

    game went down so fast you could not believe it.

  12. Well, even though it's new content it's not really what was asked about. Starfighter is basically a new PvP Arena, isn't it?

     

    What was asked for was events that make the whole game world come alive. There's a difference.

     

    EXACTLY, i wouldnt even think about going TESO if they would implement HALF of those ideas (nice OP!!)

  13. Nope! I wouldn't mind more terminal boxes for side quests, but for class and main planet story arcs, no way.

     

    . . . well, actually, I'd probably enjoy my Consular more if I never heard his voice. :p But I'd miss some of my other character's voices.

     

    And besides, based on what Bioware has said, I think a lot of people overestimate how big of a cost voice acting was/is. Not saying it is negligible, but I don't think it is this huge gigantic expensive barrier that some folks seem to think it is.

     

    it is not, i record voice acting for games at my studio ; and quite frankly it is really cheap. also what they pay to the actors is laughable.

  14. They are indeed underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I demand good free stuff, but if they're going to make a big deal out of it, they should show that it's a big deal. If they hadn't done anything for this beyond mentioning it there wouldn't have been an issue, but by hyping it they are pretty much setting this up.

     

    tldr; Meh, oh well.
