  1. Hi, many years away. I don't play much these day. The only thing I remember about swtor was feeling I had no choice but to cycle lots of alts for some reason. It made me quit.

Is it rep grind, or do you feel you are forced to have piles of alts?

I have played all class storylines already and all of that stuff. I just can't remember why I felt forced to use alts so often.

I would like to try returning and playing on one char if possible.

  2. Real bad mechanic, I have to basically stare at the tac advantage icon, since gaining them is so random at times, very hard to get a rhythm going. Sometimes you can hear the audible, but its a terrible way to play. Forget rotation, just waiting around for a "giggle", wasting time keying skills that don't fire, or wasted a builder. Just stare at the icon, forget watching game play, lol, weird.

  3. I sincerely hope they revamp it completely, down to the last thing. I like to craft in games, when I face crafting in swtor, I leave the game for a year or two. Please get rid of this thing and start over.

I want a master craft character, there is no reason 1 char can't learn all.  Tie it into completing all 8 storylines if you wish, I don't care, just make the crafting less of a hassle and a chore.

  4. I figured it would be rather obvious that allowing new chars to choose 2 would = allow veteran players to choose 2 with existing chars.

They can make this happen easily, the mechanic is already there in pts, let us change it. I want more choice, not less. With ability pruning, this is not going a good direction.

  5. Yes, please. The 30-59 bracket is broke due to expertise. You can generally tell who will win by which side has more 55-59's. Looking at the 55-59's, I can see even with terrible and no real damage rotations, they are simply crushing 30-54 players.

I don't care if bolster is fixed to where you can show up wearing no clothing/armor and still have full stats. At least it comes down to skill at that point.

What is worse is that the 55-59's seem to like it. I have seen, multiple times, level 59's leave a match right before the wz completes to not get the xp. These guys just sit and farm to keep out of the 60 bracket.

  6. Take heart, I once had 52 fails in a row and I know players who have had more. This game has a terrible crafting system, so I stopped crafting entirely.

Its one of my love/hate things about the game. I will play/sub only a few months out of the year, but they are slowly improving things. Maybe one day I will keep a sub year long.

    Who knows?:D

  7. Hello guys, have an odd question.

I have been playing and leveling since the game began by PVP and only story line missions.

Pvp being so terribly limited in this game, I have lately been very bored with it. I would like to find out how most people level up WITHOUT having to do every completely terrible little side quest on each planet. Main reason I dislike pve in most games is the "kill 2 mil" and "fetch my lunch" missions.

Can it be a series of dailies + story line missions?

What is your program to progress your char through the middling levels up to end game?

I have 20 + alts so I would like to log into one, do 1-2 daily type missions, then switch chars. Is this possible through all level phases (L10-60)?

    Thank you

  8. I don't care for the guild ship, but I am no idiot, this has "mass quitting" written all over it.

There are a couple strains of opinion on this.

    1. Those small guild people who feel it is too much and will quit.

    2. Those from rich guilds (non-pvp'ers, lets be real) who light their toots with 50mil credit notes. They are loving that the space peasant guilds will be excluded. They can barely contain their glee over this.

So, in my outsiders view, bioware needs to heed the writing all over the walls of these threads. They have actually made people angry and no small amount of them. Bioware exists to wring the last bit of money that they can out of this IP. That is their only reason for creating this game. It would seem counter-intuitive to go against the grain of this "profit at all costs" ideal.

  9. A galaxy wide network of races that have developed an ability to quickly get around something as massive as an entire galaxy would then have to deal with the next serious step. How to move to the next galaxy which would be order of magnitude more difficult.

So yes, an advanced future group of species could indeed hit a plateau which would last thousands of years.

What about after the universe is completely explored and all galaxies dominated?

Next step is in breaking out of this universe to the trillions of layered universe that surround and envelope our own.

So the blink of an eye of only several thousand years is tiny in that perspective.
