  1. I've been playing this game on and off since 2013 (mostly on). I could go on and on about how much I love about this game. It's a high-quality, well-thought-out game that has a lot of diverse and interesting content.

I'm a 50+ female player on disability. I use this game to pass the time and distract myself from the problems in my life. I've survived some awful abuse in my life. After a lot of therapy, I've learned to be intolerant of those who would abuse me. The problem is the rampant abuse and offensive player behavior that I witness frequently.

I found that in order to play your game I'm forced to submit myself to abuse I would never tolerate in face-to-face situations because I want to play the game and need the distraction in my life.

I recently read the Rules of Conduct and found this offensive behavior to be in conflict with these rules. I've tried to talk about it in chat and usually get told I'm too sensitive and if these things bother me I should be playing the game. I've logged off the game countless times because of this negative behavior I witness and experience first hand. Yes, I have been brought to tears by some interactions over the years.

I recently decided to make it my mission to report all of this abuse, but I soon realized that if I was to report every time I witnessed or experienced it, I wouldn't have much time for playing the game. Yes it is THAT rampant! I suspect others may have given up on fighting it also.

Anything and everything you do to improve this would be much appreciated.

    Thank you,

    J

  2. There are so many jerks on this game that the current Ignore function is clunky and ineffective. I literally have to ignore on every character. I could get the same jerk on another one of his characters. I don't want to block the characters as much as I want to block the person. We need an account-wide Ignore function, PLEASE!

At the very least an ignore at the Legacy level. Anything to make ignoring these people easier! Thank you!

  3. In the mission log for "An Enemy Twice Over" it says "Return to Lana Beniko". Upon entering the "Rishii Hut" to talk to her, there are two of her with markers over both and neither will talk to me. This happened on my Imp character Mega-hurts. Logging off and back on did not change it and there's no way to abandon or reset it.

  4. I'm experiencing the same issue. I skipped around a lot on the Shadow of Revan stuff, but wanted to go back to complete it. I'm on "Chapter 5: Shadow of Revan" which says "Speak to a Local". The mission pointer lands on Qaraah a bird-man, but when I attempt to converse with him he says "Uh... have a nice day!" Resetting the mission does not help and I cannot abandon it. Its taking up much needed space on my quest log.
  5. In the game, I just wanted to let you know that there's an extra space in "Camouflaged Sniper". I included a link to the item in torhead so you know what item I'm talking about, but in the game this item has an extra space between "Camouflaged" and "Sniper".

This extra space makes it impossible to shift+click it to search the GTN. You have to manually remove the space.

    Thanks!!

  6. Startide Rising is now recruiting. We're a new, friendly and helpful guild with 10% XP/Reputation Bonus. Respect people is our #1 rule! Let me know if you would like to join.

To find someone in our guild for an invite, use the "who" search box. Type "Startide", then change the "Comment" field to "Guild" to find all of our online members. From there you can whisper any of them. All members can invite.

    Thank you,

  7. Given the complexity and quality of this game and the relative price this is a wonderful product being provided to its user base. Compare this game to a movie in a theatre. $15 would pay for two movies. Four hours of entertainment for $15 compared to roughly 700 hours a month available game time.

Even if you only played 10 hours a month, that would be $1.50 per hour of entertainment. I dare say many of us far exceed that on a regular basis. :)

Yes, subscribers pay for this service. Yes, this service should be available. But I would be willing to bet anyone who had even a little understanding of how much goes into design, programming, maintenance and enhancement of this game would be willing to cut these guys some slack when things go wrong even for a day or two.

I, for one, appreciate this game and the people behind making it happen.

    Thank you! :)

  8. Its not a bug, I had the same problem until I searched the web for the answer. Although I do believe a change needs to be made as the final area is not very clear for others to locate.

Its found in the most southern part of Map. After the bridge, take a right up to the top of the mountains and go south into the unknown area until you get it.

Zeargon is right. I traveled as indicated. Keep going south and up into the mountains. When you think you can't go any farther drop down into a little section at the very southern-most tip. Then it will open up. It says I'm in Aslakan Overlook.

  9. <The Crimson Alliance> (<The Crimson Alliance> on Republic side and <The Dark Crimson Alliance> on Empire side ) is an group of friendly, family-oriented and helpful people where mutual respect & decorum are required.

    » 10 % Reputation & XP Bonuses

» Full Calendar (including Flashpoints, All-Level Operations, Datacron Hunts, World Boss Hunts & PvP)

» Access to a Wide Variety of Gear, Buffs, Crafting Materials in the Guild Bank

» Generous Weekly Allowance of Guild Funds for Repair

    » Alliance Website (Registration Required)

» Variety of Channels on TeamSpeak (Download/Use Required)

  10. I search the "who" list for people without a guild. I usually put in a certain level (ie. 55) to reduce the result set, then change the "comment" field to "guild" and sort that field. All the characters online without a guild at the moment at that level will rise to the top of the list.

I then whisper them the following message:

"Hi, [their name], I noticed you don't have a guild. <Guild Name>, a sociable & friendly guild, is currently recruiting. 10% Rep/XP Bonus, guild bank, full weekly calendar. Web Regist. & Teamspeak required. Interested?"

I've had a lot of success with that.

Note: to copy their name, click on their name in the "who" list, then whisper. Highlight their name, then Ctrl+C (copy) and Ctrl+V (paste) their name in the message. It will copy their name character for character; even odd characters.
