  1. I use a combination for 2 reasons:

    1. I have small hands (I can reach shift & 6 at the same time, and ctrl and 5 if I stretch but nothing passed them)

Just trying to figure out how this one is relevant. I have every single one of my abilities, including ones that I would never use, along with stuff like seeker droid, speeder, medpacs, bound with just the left half of the keyboard and shift + the left half of the keyboard. I don't have anything as far as 6 bound with shift (don't have shift+5 either, actually), and I don't use ctrl for anything.

  2. Well those are specific lvl 55 quests. Doesn't this seem super random to have an achievement to kill thirteen lvl 28s and one lvl 50? It doesn't seem logical to me.

It also doesn't seem particularly logical to require killing 1000 other players on Alderaan, when it's pretty much impossible to even get *one* kill on a PvE server, and this achievement would just inspire mass ganking on a PvP server. I think it's pretty clear the achievements system isn't quite full of logic :p

  3. Right now there's zero incentive to run old content for anything other than achievements.

And even this much isn't a great incentive to actually use GF for that old content. If you're going for achievements, that means you need pretty much ALL of the bosses, including the ones that GF groups almost always skip (every bonus boss, the general in Black Talon, like half of Boarding Party, whatever boss it was you can skip in Battle of Ilum....). With the level cap at 55, it's easy enough to just solo the 50 HM's so that you can actually kill ALL of the bosses needed for achievements, not just whichever bosses your average GF speed-run feels like killing.

  4. Surely planetary achievements should be achievable at the level of the planet (either the normal planetary level or the bonus level)?

Logic hole: MCR-99 droids. You have to go back to all the planets with a high-level character to find those droids, so there's nothing wrong with having something else to do on the planet at the same time with that high-level character.

  5. So, the main thing I've been caring about lately in this game is the achievements. Is there anything I can do with Cartel Coins that can help with getting achievements (serious question, not cynicism)? If not, then I couldn't possibly care less about this reward. But then, I'm not sure what else they really could have given me that I would actually care about, so I see little reason to complain here.
  6. Also, look at Ashla's response. ;)

Actually, I think you should look at that response. That post says that the requirement should be logging onto the account on ANY toon, not having to log on with every single one of them to ensure that a couple names don't get taken, like you are suggesting.

Logging in/out with every character is more than a minor annoyance when the game freezes for 5+ minutes every time I try to log out (and it's not only me with this problem), then making it necessary to open the launcher for each character, which itself takes a few minutes to load after some recent patch, not to mention the pre- and post- character selection loading screens, each taking a few minutes. Just logging into ONE 'inactive' character, logging right back out, and then logging into the character I want to play with, would make it take 25+ minutes from the time I sat down to the time I actually get to start playing the game, which is presumably what I sat down to do in the first place. And of course I have more than one inactive character to deal with, having a total of 12 toons myself. This is why it should be the account itself that must be active (as suggested in the very post you just told me to read), not each and every character.

  7. An easy way to make sure your name isn't taken from you is that you get an email from SWTOR Support saying that if you don't log into that character in X amount of days, your name will be free for anyone else to take.

This is a bad idea. I never check the email address associated with my SWTOR account. Why should I need to or be forced to when I log into the game itself every day?

You can see in my sig that I have two Imperials still at level 50. I haven't used those two characters since before 2.0 was released, and I still won't for awhile longer. Since those characters have been sitting still for so long, surely I don't care about them and wouldn't mind if someone else took the names away from me, right? Wrong. I am trying to play through all of the class stories before I go back and start using those characters again, but I do certainly intend to go back and play those characters up to 55 and use them in endgame content. But going through all the Republic class stories takes time. Enough time for your proposed system to automatically take my names away from me, even though I am an active player with every intention to keep and use those names. Just stop.

  8. I sent a bug report about EV HM a full month ago, do those actually get read? :(

Anyway, can anyone else clarify for me, is EV the only one messed up in this way right now? In other words, should I bother going for the KP/EC achievements right now, or are those messed up in some way as well? I'd rather not waste my time getting a group together just to find a bug that'll make me do it again after it's fixed :)

  9. yikes, that's true, there is no WB on republic side balmorra. The devs should correct this. Maybe an oversized collicoid at the lake near the bugtown outpost would be awesome, or an enormous droid on sobrik's spaceport :D

Or what they would probably do if they did anything at all would just be to take the imperial balmorra WB (the Grandfather) and plop it into the republic side with a lot more HP. And then accidentally add a million HP to the imperial one in the process :p

  10. You can tackle the champs on Ord/Tython with any pair of reasonably competent players (I've killed the Savrip champ *loads* of times on Ord with another Trooper).

The droid on Tython is definitely much stronger than any enemies on the other three starting planets though; you could say it's sort of an 'introductory world boss'. The Savrip you can do with just yourself and your companion very easily with a hefty Presence stat from legacy, but when I tried the Tython droid with the same Presence stat, I barely knocked a quarter of his health down.

  11. I have noticed this happen a couple times before. Once, it was all Coruscant achievements that I had tracked. I logged into a character who was on a different planet, got this error, tons of random letters and numbers showing up on the tracker. Then I traveled to Coruscant, and once I got onto the planet (where the achievements are actually relevant), all the achievements were showing correctly again. Amusing coincidence, or significant information about the nature of the bug? Hmm...
  12. Okay, it seems like this bug is connected to the Jedi Temple. Something those other two characters of mine had in common is that I fully explored the rest of the areas before ever heading to the Temple for the first time. I just went back to Coruscant with a third character (sigh), who already had the Temple unlocked, but not a couple spots on the Senate Plaza or Black Sun Territory. I unlocked those areas (finishing with Black Sun), and the achievement popped this time.
  13. The Mutated Collicoids have been added to Imperial Balmorra outside the final Inquisitor mission at the end of the planet. I got this in May I believe after a new patch came out.

When I killed those colicoids, I did not receive the entry. I still had to go through the Inquisitor phase to get to the old ones to complete the achievement. This was at the end of May.
