  1. Honestly, I don't care when the expansion comes out... I love this game and I'm sure whatever they do will be fun as well... Personally, I've not even gotten a capped character yet (fairly new and been too busy making an alt of each class) and I'm glad I've got time to get a character or two to 50 before the expansion. Besides, it's $10... I've gambled much more than that trying to get something decent out of cartel packs...
  2. Yea, I was kinda shocked at the population difference between the Republic and Empire when I first started playing... even I have fallen into it. I've got a Jedi Sentinel and a Commando, but I don't really enjoy them, meanwhile I have 1 of each advanced class for Empire... the stories are better and it feels good to go dark side without having to worry about messing anything up..not to mention most of the people that play Republic are *****s while the Empire's players tend to just relax and enjoy the game and joke around.
  3. Honestly, everything.... I've played over a dozen "popular" mmo's and I have to say that this is by far my favorite.... the best I've played since wow (pre-expanded)

The story lines are fantastic, I really enjoy the Star Wars setting in general. PvP is great, but I will admit I HATE Huttball in Warzones...the character models are well done and the leveling system is set well. Most games are either too easy to level or nearly impossible to keep up with. I know this game has its flaws *cough* lazy devs *cough* but it's still an amazing game and I'm thinking it can last just as long if not longer than SWG did. IF the devs start paying more attention to what the players want instead of panicking about the players that were already lost... it does a company no good to worry about the loss of players, they need to focus on how to keep the ones that stayed and how to draw in more. Personally though, I'll be playing this game for years to come even if there never is another patch... I enjoy it too much, but I do hope they don't disappoint with the RotHC that I pre-ordered...

  4. Actually, Amazon says they still have the CE for sale both in store and through third party vendors. So its possible still if you want to shell out another $150 dollars for the CE.

There are some still sealed on amazon and even ebay for only $60... but wouldn't the code of expired by now? Considering it's been over a year since the release... I know the pre-order crystal codes expired 12-31-12, but not sure if that's the same as the CE

  5. I'm going to guess that you weren't alive back when we used to say "why would you ever need more than 10 floppy disks?"

The bottom line is, don't worry about the way someone else chooses to play their game.

Actually, I was, and I had several cases of floppies... man that sounds bad.

I'm not worrying about it, nor was I trying to be a jerk, I just simply don't see why anyone would want that many characters.. that's more than enough to have 1 of each advanced class and a few more...

  6. I just suggest that you skip the pack.. my entire guild purchased the packs as soon as they were released... none of us got anything good... emotes, crappy pets, useless materials...

I agree with you, I'd love to see some nice Bounty Hunter armor brought out!

  7. Appreciate all the responses. I'm going to roll a Knight. It'll be good to do the whole "star wars hero" story, and play the melee pub class.

That's a good choice, I enjoy the story, but I got bored in the mid 20's... too "good guy" for me lol

  8. I don't understand the big urge to play a new species... aren't there enough already? Everyone keeps freaking out about a new species, but after a year, why not just enjoy the species you have? I am the type that would much rather get a new class(which i know will never happen) than a new species... all species play their class the same, I just don't understand the fuss for the Cathar...
  9. Hey all,

I just finished the Agent story. And, it was absolutely a great ride. Is there another story in this game that remotely gets close to the agent storyline? I'm not entirely sure I want to go through the end game raids, maybe TFB since that's the only op I haven't played currently, so I'm looking for another character story to enjoy.

Basically, I'm looking for opinions on the Sith Warrior, Bounty Hunter, Jedi Consular, Knight, Smuggler. I've already gone through the Inquisitor and Trooper.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I'll be honest in saying I haven't finished any of the stories yet (only been playing a couple weeks).

Going by my experiences so far, I think that the Bounty Hunter's story may be one of the best and the Sith Warrior is fun as well...

  10. An easy way to bring in some cash might be to just run something like underworld trading while you're doing your missions. From there you could choose if you wanted to just sell mats for an income or actually have a craft...different servers have different profits and (mine as example) many times you'd be better off selling mats than making any crafts.
  11. I also have this dilemma! I started this game when it went free, and i subbed in the first 15 minutes, well worth it. I'm a pretty experienced MMO player so i can safely say i can play any class with great efficiency, but choosing between these two classes has got me wondering, how can 2 sub classes be so different!

I don't have a lvl 50 yet, because i keep lvling alts to test which i like best. And im also more PvP inclined rather than the usual endgame raids, but i have plently of raid experience. So maybe my opinions might hold atleast some weight.

I have a lvl 43 Mara, and a lvl 25 Jugg. Both decked out in advanced crystals and Mk6 augment slots.(Thx to cartel coins). To be honest i really like them both, but mara gameplay seems so fluid and it requires a certain finess that i cant explain. While the jugg is just a beast.

Leveling as a mara was so quick, i slice through mobs and Heroic 2s solo. while my Jugg feels a little sluggish but it gets the job done, i think that's because i dont have alot of skills as a Jugg, since they seem to get better skills at higher lvl, but the marauder rapes right off the gate.

In PvP, my marauder usally tops the chart. 200k+ damage per game always, and my top was 350k in one WZ. and my gear is not that updated either, and i have field respec on both so i play all 3 specs and they pull around same damage.

Ive done plenty of research for both the classes, and watched many PvP videos to see how the class is normally played. and as much as i love the quickness and fine saber work of the Mara, it just feels like i have to stick to a certain guideline, even with talents i dont have many choices to play with, its either one spec or the other.

With jugg i wanna get him higher so i can use most of the avaible skills to have a test run, and looking at the talents it seems that jugg is so much more flexible, and so many ultilies and abilities that can be used in many different situations, specifically talking about force push and the aoe terror skill. and as far as i researched they pull about the same DPS, while Mara has nice raid buffs(Predation etc.) Juggs can contribute alot.

IM SO UNDECIDED. Life of an altaholic =/

PS- Im at work didnt proof read, so excuse the grammical hell i have posted.

It sounds like you're experiencing the exact thing I did... I've only got level 20's, but I've got about 9 different classes that I've been testing out. So far I seem to prefer my juggernaut though... my marauder seems to get over powered too easily, but my jugg, although weaker, can withstand so much assault that I don't really have to worry... although I have noticed that my jugg levels slightly slower than my marauder, but that could simply be due to my short gaming attention span xD

  12. Why are the masks so popular anyway? I know they're rare.... but I don't understand the urge to have an ugly mask... I'd rather have an Nihilus' mask over Revan's any day...

As for spending $80 on packs for 1 mask... why not sell all those packs and buy anything you wanted off the gtn

  13. I've got a commando, but I didn't quite enjoy it... what's so special about vanguards that makes some people go so crazy about them? Are their heals as amazing as everyone claims?

If so, what level does it take before the vanguard starts separating itself from the commando class in heals and performance in general?

One thing that worries me is that everyone always talks about how you're close quarters as a vanguard.... you have a battle rifle, so why would you be limited to almost melee distance? I understand that for tanking or for the occasional stock strike, but why does everyone act like it is mandatory to be up close and personal as a vanguard compared to the long range of a commando?

  14. Can anyone answer the question of which is better in pvp? Marauder or juggernaut?

From my experience, the Marauder seems to do much better in pvp situations... although I've never been able to progress through missions as easily as with my Juggernaut :jawa_biggrin:

  15. I'm talking about how some items like the Sith armor set pieces are around 100-150k a piece (max), but the jedi set pieces sell for upwards to 3m (max I've seen for the chest). There are many more similar cases, but I just wanted an example.... for some things like Revan's mask, I understand the rarity of the item causing it's price.... I don't see how two items bought for the same amount of cartel coins can sell for literally millions in the difference of price... that being said.. instead of buying packs, why not just buy these expensive sets to sell and make millions instead of several 100k's:rak_02:
