  1. I liked Huttbreaker from Mek-Sha. Has a backstory and stuff and I really can get behind her motivation - while two groups of utter, unbelievable, incorrigible imbeciles would fight each other again instead of, you know, rebuilding their devastated Empire and Republic, lets fleece those suckers by selling fuel and guns to both of them. After all, a fool and his money must part.

Too bad our characters helped according factions to set her back. But I have faith in her coming out on top this time too. :D

  2. So did anyone draft the obvious path the story goes...or, rather, slowly shambles towards like a geriatric sloth with aching joints ? That is, Malgus wants to do with his galaxy what commander Shepard did with theirs in the green ending (tm) - that is, unleash some sort of force plague that either wakes up latent force powers or infuses with them if an individual doesn't have any and so makes everyone into force users. That is what Null's sorcery do, that explains why Malgus boasts it will shake the foundation of universe - because it totally will!  Current development also supports this theory -

    Spoiler

Null got booted from Jedi for heresy and then broken by Emperor

, because both factions gatekeep their status of chosen special people more fiercely than gamers of Dark Souls cult.

Of course we the Chosen One will thwart his plans, but not before someone tries it, I'm undecided if Heta will, I'm sure Riikan will, and I hope the game lets me kill those two bastards before maintenance mode comes.

  3. How delightful I am too see how the first idea to "fix" game economics is to make life harder for poor people while leaving the filthy rich unscathed. Just like real life! 🤑

Have no idea how to fix this mess, of course, don't even know if it's possible at all, I'm just here to laugh at BW's surprised Pikachu face when things were obviously going this direction update after update after update. Like, what did you guys expect?

  4. "Spinny boy" is from Nathema, not Copero.

Anyway. Did a few runs for Conquest (or whatever is the new hamster wheel called) points lately, assassins level 75 to 80, companions melee 30-something level, ranged 40-something level, but did it with ~15 Temple before as well. A few tips.

Ignore adds, they do negligible damage, if they do any at all. Do not stand in stupid, particularly red conical stupid, also big yellow circle stupids, red small circle stupids are not too dangerous. That means you have to move around quite a bit, but that's just all that is. Run about when it starts telegraphing its attacks, hit it when it stops.

You can also ignore adds in the next boss fight, but not in the optional boss fight, damage from those adds up. It;s better to just kill 2 out of three to prevent respawning.

  5. My Kira is a tease. I found the alert, zipped to the Force enclave, and what do you know -- she's not even there! :D

Not sure if I play hide and seek with her or wait for a bug fix, because with Scourge I did not even get the alert.

  6. Speaking about those two, what 's the deal with Scourge going "I need to talk to you in private" and then being unclickable and without a quest mark over the head or anything? Or is it just knight-only dangling hook for the next (outlandishly ridiculous) plot point?
  7. Honestly, I think Huttbraker is the most sane character here, I did kill those two council members (whose names I have trouble to spell right now) so her people could remain neutral.

I think the Huttbreaker character is writers winking at us with "Yeah, we know this idiotic eternal war between two factions makes no sense, but that's what the majority wants, so" :D

  8. It seems like the Empire is more busy killing off their own then they are troubling with the antics of the Republic. The capable generals are used as puppets in Sith games while capable spies get killed off because reasons while capable Sith get killed off because whims of other Sith. How, how, how does an army like this even function? How did they even grow as powerful as they are? How has this not blown up in their faces???

Yeah, I don't get it either and the only possible answer I can muster is "Because Emperor aka Darth Cthulhu''s will holds everything together".

By the way, you can also play Imperial Agent's story -- it asks the same question and even gives a little more grounded answer.

  9. Starting to feel the whole traitor arc was arranged by Lana to get rid of our trusted Theron so she can manipulate us even easier.:D

"Trusted" my butt. :D Him and Lana both run the Alliance, and the Outlander is just a glorified errand boy/gal. That's why he kept mum about infiltrating the cult of bad hair bozos, because he ain't obliged to inform his co-workers about his plans and even less to his underlings (aka you :D). And that's why he tried to justify his fail to Lana first, because opinion of an equal carries more weight than opinion of a subordinate (aka you :D)

  10. And Malcolm unnecessarily gets himself and a lot of people killed trying to seize technology he didn't understand and wouldn't listen to our warnings.

I wouldn't hold Iokath against Malcom. He's always sounded reasonable before (unlike his kid, what with Ziost and stuff) and it's not really his fault the writers decided to hand him Jupiter-sized idiot ball.

Anyway, now when I played KOTFEeeehehs, Traitor and Ossus in a row, I gotta say Iokath is absolute nadir of writing. It's like Saturday morning cartoon episode of SWTOR. Wooden lifeless replicas of previous characters with brand new bastardized characterizations, everyone talk either in cliches or stock phrases ("I cannot fail! Republic needs me!"), exaggerated reactions to things that should be mundane by now given how common they are -- "It's a superweapon!" (*gasp* Oh no, not one of those things we used to disarm by dozens in our home Galaxy, what should we doooo?!?), "But it's superweapon that is eleven times as potent as previous superweapons superglued together"!!! (Really? Just how do you measure their superweaponizery? Are they like Gilette razors, where iteration N kills trillion gazillion dudes, and brand new improved iteration N+1 kills trillion gazillion dudes + those 5 dudes who escaped previous massacre? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

The only saving grace of the whole Iokath and Traitor mess is voice acting, particularly Theron's who got really lucky with his VA. The man sells the sh†t out of the character, and considering inane script he had to work with it's nothing short of a miracle.

  11. Um. Why do you guys think they are dancing to the fanbase's tune in the first place?(Well, besides the obvious human tendency to believe one's self-importance into gigantic hot air balloon every time a chance presents itself. "Oooooh, the writers listen to our wishes, we're so like totally matter, we have da powar". Stop and think for a second, will us all? Everybody dunked on that Galactic Grind mechanics as soon as it happened, did it go away? Nope! Was it even the first thing audience hated? No! Did they ever change anything because of negative feedback? Nuh-uh! Should have if opinion of the fans is so important, yet it did not. So if gameplay designers do not listen to popular opinions, what makes you think writers do, eh? Deaths of this or that? Isn't it more plausible that the writers have the outline of the story, they know which character has a future and which has not and in case of the latter, then maybe write a death as a possible option because -- again, with fanfares! -- it will not matter in the long run and can be used to make some drama, and nothing makes some easy instant drama as a death. So no, guys. We do not matter much besides the obvious "how much money we're ready to spend on it" reason.

Now, before we derail this thread into yet another never ending whine of self-pity and "NO U!" where each iteration is more boring and repetitive than previous one, how about we make fun of that nonsensical traitor arc like the tosser deserves? Like, we can:

† Invent jokes ("So Master Sumalee, Darth Baras and Theron's boss walk into the bar on Nathema...")

† Come up with outlandish motivations for unlikely people (like Vallllssss. My contribution: Theron plainly charmed the pants off him. Search your feelings, you know it's true :D)

† Speculate on the haircut (Seriously. When trying to hide, you'd want to make yourself forgettable, which should be hard when people take a look at you and think "Here goes the guy who let his twelve year old kid do his hair")

† Why did Forceys only choked Theron a little and then let go? Forgot to charge the battery before leaving, no sockets on the train and the choker died on them?

So much potential here, come on! :D

P.S.: Yesterday I auctioned Vinn Atrius holo on GTN for 5 credits, because dude's worthless garbage and so is his holo. Today I received the GTN mail with 25 creds attached. He's such a piece of trash that GTN pays you back five times just to get rid of him :D:D

  12. Well they chose to do it.

My JK tried 3 times to convince Acina not to sit on that throne, not to activate the weapon and shut it down, Quinn also did it (he does it even more if you play a SW who sides with the Republic and she force pushed him on a wall for that), so yeah she chose her own fate at that time, and she's as much responsible of her own death as Theron for giving the intel on the superweapon

As much as Orgus chose to get on that ship, ready to sacrifice his own life if it meant giving a way to his former Padawan to save the Republic if he was unable to do it himself... Wich he did. No one forced him to sacrifice himself, but he did, because he though it'd be the best chance for the Republic to rely on his former Padawan to stop Angral

Ah, the good old (and ever so logical) "I like the character = their reasons are good and valid, I don't care about them = its their own fault" argument. :D
