  1. This complaint isn't even a case of beating a dead horse... It's like slipping and falling in a enormous puddle of rotted dead horse paté and then complaining EAware didn't put up a "caution wet floor" sign.

    my 2 credits anywho...

    This so hard lol

And it's not like they are forcing you to buy it.

Next you are going to complain because they give too many credits during missions.

  2. Insolence?? Oh mean like telling someone to leave the forums.. Get over yourself dude.. You clearly don't want to discuss anything.. All you want to do is talk trash and smack at other people.. You have my sympathies.. Let me know when you actually make a point.. You do not have the right to tell anyone to leave the thread or the forums.. You do not have the right to demand that name be taken from other players so that you can use them.. Notice a pattern there?? Some entitlement issues there??

How about you stop trolling your own thread and make a point here.. Nowhere have you stated WHY someone should lose their name... Nowhere have you explained how this is fair to all and the right thing to do.. Like I have said.. You have made no points.. Your problem is that I do read your posts..

I honestly don't know why you are so against this.

If they are less than level 10, and haven't played again in over 6 months, it's more likely than not (way more likely btw) that they aren't coming back to this game again.

If you have one item, and find another item more interesting, and throw that item out into the trash, and it gets sent to the dumpster, would you really care if some homeless man decided to make that item his.

It's not theft if you deny ownership of something. If I decide to give my clothes away to goodwill, and someone else wants the clothes, I couldn't care less if they got the clothes or not.

There. That's two hypothetical situations that I just typed out off the top of my head. I know that it's not going to change your mind or anything because you are pretty dead set about which way you think things should go, but I just get satisfaction from proving people like you wrong.

    Good day. :)

  3. Ugh, it's a game.

Mortar rounds aren't that short of range anyway (M203s aren't really either). It's just a name for a skill, get over it.

This is like the glow stick players who are mad that lightsabers can't cut through armor like butter, or snipers that think the 30m max range should be increased to 1000m. There have to be some unrealistic limitations to keep this a game.

If you want it realistic, step away from the computer and call your local recruiter.

But all those other examples you just listed would actually unbalance and generally mess up the game-play.

All we want is a change of animation.

  4. I know you didn't say that, but you are not getting my point. OP said this :

Let me give you another example, if the very same NPC had a very dark skin. Would say BW is fostering a hostile environment for dark skinned people ?

Another example, if the very same NPC was a male and light skinned. Would say BW is fostering a hostile environment for white males ? What if the NPC was Asian looking ? what if the NPC had a middle eastern features ?

Violence in this game is indiscriminate, so I repeat my question what does BW have to do with this ?

I agree with you on that actually, Bioware doesn't have anything to do with it.

It's just a group of terribly bad players that are to blame.

As I posted earlier, it's the context that makes people mad, not Bioware.

  5. It can be tough sometimes finding a decent group that knows what it's doing/has done the flashpoint before. If I find I am dying more often than I should be (an occasional death is normal imo) then I just leave and continue doing what I was. I'm almost always queued up for FP's though lol.
  6. Wrong how? There aren't any "official" statistics, but in popular culture (namely, movies, action flicks, in particular), for every female character death there's about hundred male character deaths. Usually a lot more brutal, too.

As far as history goes, wars. This vid does a good job explaining how the "

    " works.

I was mostly referring to the females in history.

Even in modern times really. Females are seen as the weaker beings, and are therefore seen as easier targets for murders and rape.

But especially in history. Males may not have had it smooth back then, but women back then were in a way deeper boat.

I studied, and actually major in history, and I can safely assure you that I know what I am talking about.

As for your wars comment. What do you think happened when a country lost a war and got invaded by the enemy? The enemy just lay their weapons down and said "Ok guys, good job, let's go on home now."

Nope, I can assure you that the women and children in the occupied country were treated far worse than the men in the actual war. Sex slaves, ect.

Just an example, look up the information on the Nanking massacre. Keep in mind that this was a dark time in history anyhow (WW2) but it's still la valid point imo.

There are countless other accounts that I could list, but I don't think I can stomach talking about them.

  7. Out of my 6 characters, none of them can craft anything above level 16 mods. I still manage to keep my gear a bit leveled up.

Also, don't let one incident soil the whole thing for you. I've lost count of the amount of times I been kicked for not DPSing right. Or not tanking right. Or not healing right. (apparently healing the tank and keeping your other teamates from dying is not how a healer works.)

If you have a high enough alt, try running dailies in the Black Hole (I think thats what it's called..) and buy mods or modded armor that way.

I highly recommend FP's though if you can't craft or afford to buy mods from the GTN ( I can't do either one of those) as it's a pretty easy way to get moddable gear. And if you don't like the way the gear looks, just rip out the mods.

Edit: I also find that mission reward gear isn't good enough to keep you alive, as it doesn't give you gear often enough. Imo at least.

  8. This is a bit off topic, but I kept getting killed on Tatooine because I was trying to sell loot at the medical droid. It was the enemy medical droid and it had the high level guards around it, but I want paying attention and was very determined to get to that medical droid. I tried like 6 or 7 times.
  9. The easiest way to get rid of a troll is to burn them. Trolls are weak against fire, always remember that.

They say, "LOL you can't push past 75k damage LOL"

You say, "LOL I have a life man, I'm so sorry that I can't devote the majority of my life to a game."

This usually makes them trip up and say something like "I work everyday and pay my own bills" usually with several typos because they don't know how to react to getting burnt (See the susceptible to fire note up top).

You can counter this by saying, "It's not normal for a man to wear his parents shoes man..."

That's not the strongest trolling, but it's the main gist of it really.

You could also ignore them...but who honestly ignores people in this game anymore >.>.

  10. I think the problem here would most likely be your gear. Check to see if your gear is leveled up with your character, or at least a portion of your gear is.

I always have underleveled gear on my character, but I always keep a few items at my characters level.

Right now on my trooper for example, I have a level 11 generator, and level 15 boots and vambraces. Everything else is in the 20's (my character is level 25) and I'm finding my missions to be fairly easy (I'm also a bit overleveled atm, so I will take that into account as well).

When I find my gear is underleveled, I run a few FP's and find it easier to either get gear, or overlevel myself that way, making missions on those planets extremely easy in the long run.

  11. I really don't get this, you are mad at Bioware because some idiots decided to behaves like jerks ?

The flashpoint you ran 15 minutes before arriving to that convo is centered around you "killing" (not hitting or mistreating, but killing!) hoards of men and women, but head butting the captain with a rifle is the only thing you find questionable and misogynistic ? Just because of some idiot sitting behind his PC ?

If so then you are employing double standards and you should complain about every dark side choice that leads to an NPC being mistreated.

In fact, I find portrayal of women in this game to be fair. They are portrayed as senators, leaders, generals, military personnel, thieves, spies, murderers, heroes, there is no discrimination between how men and women are portrayed. The misogyny is only within you and not on the screen!

I think it's more of the context at which they do the action.

Like they probably laugh and say crap like "Wish I could do that in real life LOLZ" or something stupid like that.

I've seen it happen so many times.

It might be a bit double standardish, but it's extremely annoying to see it. Usually when I see it happen, my troll mode activates, and it all goes downhill from there.

  12. I do agree however that almost all Consular gear looks like crap on Males...but the same could also be said for the Inquisitor end gear. and the Warrior end gear as well. The Inquisitor End gear looks like it was made for a female character to wear. That head gear does not look manly at all. And the Warrior end armor, looks like it would fit a Male character the best. I couldn't imagine my female character running around in that type of armor.

The only gear, imo, that doesn't look gender specific are the non force classes. Imp Agent gear fits both genders pretty nicely, as does the BH armor. They both look alright on both genders. The Trooper armor and Smuggler armor, both look good as well on either gender.

This is just my little opinion though, and I may be speaking a bunch of nonsense.

  13. i am loving swtor bioware on republic side consular shadow BUT honestly the war hero gear for consular shadow is haphazard

i really do not understand why the sith inquistor artist is awesome

i know developer has posted that the gear is in a cycle and changes cannot be rapidly made but please seriously begging you something needs to be done so that i can keep my war hero stats but NOT use the graphics that were chosen.

here is my character screenshot that is amazing artist for consular

Call me crazy, but I actually like the Jedi PvP gear WAY more than the Sith PvP gear. It might be because I have been a fan of Japanese and Chinese culture for a pretty long time now, and it looks great on my female Shadow. I use that armor for PvE now, more than I do for PvP.

  14. Not all Samurai were bad. Most of them followed the Bushido code, or another variant of that code, or there own code. Most people back then saw Samurai as keepers of peace, and there were a few renegade Samurai thrown in within the ranks of the good, but that is the case with every single countries military then and now.

Even our military has soldiers in it that should not be able to be around a weapon.

Not ALL samurai were evil though, just a few. Most fought honorably.

  15. Not sure if this has been made yet or not, but I am just a bit curious.

Mine is based off of the characters from Claymore. She is even named "Claymoré". she has the whole white hair and silver eyes going on, and her personality fits most Claymore characters. She is cold hearted, but inevitably ends up saving people because she is doing her job. She only connects with people that have grown close to her over time (Kira for example) otherwise she treats everyone else as if they are in her way.

She also has high respect for other Jedi in the order, but reserves most of that respect for the Masters. She does not like unfair fights, unless she is the one outnumbered, and simply considers those instances to be "minor challenges". She is extremely merciful, unless she is fighting a Sith. She will kill a Sith even if they give up and surrender. If it is a normal soldier, or an officer from the enemies ranks, she will spare them, but if they try to double cross her, she will not spare them a second time.

Thought it'd be interesting to see how this character plays out.

Feel free to add your own.
