who cares you don't get as much Arena battle, just continue regular warzones queues.
I've played for 11 months and already got sick of those repetitive maps, they could easily build new ones with the exact same game modes, it would barely take any money or time, and would easily prevent many pvpers from unsubbing.
I can't imagine how boring people that have played since launch find them.

As the title says i am thinking of transferring my main (lvl 27) to this server. I got to tatooine and decided i wanted some PvP action.
Before i do the transfer i want to make sure i am not walking into a dead server. I play on the Imp side and am looking for serious information about server population (in relation to Begeren Colony) i have checked websites but wanted first hand answers.
Also how is faction balance, and is the GTN a busy market, on Begeren it is fairly easy to sell stuff.
Please no rants about the dire state of the game in general, i enjoy it, and i am looking for some fun relaxed PvP. But just want to know if it a good server. I play from Asia so this is my only choice in PvP servers as it is on the west coast.
a whole lot of the good players either quit or moved to pot5. the bastion is dead ranked wise, and even regular pvp pops take a while. no idea about regs on pot5 but I know the server population is higher, and it's 10x quicker if not more for solo ranked (I've waited 1-2 hours for 1 pop on bastion, longest ive had on pot5 is like 10 minutes and it felt long.)

I'm shocked at bioware's lack of caring for the pvp community, sure we spend less money on cartel coins, but if they want the ranked feature of their game to be dead they did a great job. If they really didn't wanna upgrade the servers to support cross server queues, they could have at least merged some PvP servers together, instead of these stupid 300~ people servers, maybe 500 MAX at rush hour but that includes a ton of PVEers and people leveling...
I'm only playing MMOs that have cross server or at the very least VERY high server population from now on, swtor will be a lesson of what not to waste my time and money on. I complained about this problem over 6 months ago when 8v8 ranked was versus ONE other guild on the harbinger...moved here and it was only two guilds...

I'm tired of sitting on fleet for nonexistent solo ranked pops and my guildmates/friends are either MIA or unwilling to queue against DP so let's try this:
I'm willing to take on any relatively geared geared player (at very least min/max conq) of a semi-viable class that doesn't fall into one of these three categories:
1) Is a dbag
2) Is garbage at the game
3) Is in a queue-syncing guild (see #2)
Aka not these people
If you fit the criteria and are interested in learning about/getting some group ranked going whisper Wakalord/Wakasoperative on imp side. I'd love to get some skilled and consistent players together for more frequent ranked games.

But the short term solution is the long term solution? Getting 4 people to queue solves the problem. Its that simple
never saw you in ranked stop acting like the only one playing it, so glad to leave this game in which everyone has something to say about the game dying yet none of them are ever in my group ranked matches.

I blame myself, 30% of the people queueing were my friends queueing with me and the other 70% were people who hate me and wanted to queue against me.
I WAS THIS GAME. kidding. I'll play a bit in a few days when I come home but I don't think I'll resub if it's as bad as you guys claim it is.

I think you're probably right that a majority of people that this post is trying to appeal to don't have the skill to play Group Rank (maybe they can learn by themselves or something).
The new objective should probably be the merging of all guilds who are interested in doing Group Rank. And each guild leader can meet together and form even teams that will allow for competitive play.
*However, I do know that there are a few good pugs and solostars out there they could be pretty decent in rank
Again...it seems unrealistic. The only person that might work with happens to be me, since I'm probably quitting and so is Elizabeth, UNFORTUNATELY most of the people from sweatshop who play ranked aren't in sweatshop anymore or quit the game all together.
The best option would be cross server pops or server mergers which we all know won't happen, hence why I'm quitting. Free server transfers would be nice, I would check out pot5 on my mara or sorc, but that also won't happen because bioware wants my money and I'm done giving it to them.
sorry if I seem like a negative nancy. but what you wanna do is a desperate attempt to revive ranked that simply won't work with so few players in general, let alone ones that want and then that are ready to play ranked. There are a bunch of players that only do regs or solo that could be great in ranked, try to find them, they're usually in the guilds we've been talking about though (but I rarely or never see them in group)

At the end of the day, even if MVP merged with DP (which they kind of already did) and merged with the few of my guildies who can do ranked merged with synergy merged with BOSS, that one mega guild would still have an A team and then some teams that couldn't quite beat that team.
Your best bet, bornstellar, is to become the best operative healer you can, or merc dps (that **** is very good, I've lost to DP by getting netted at ~60% hp and dropping to 0 within half a GCD because of how quickly they swapped), and joining a team of 3 good players that stand a chance versus the best teams.
The people you're trying to rally with this post aren't good enough to play ranked. You can play regs with people and try to make them better, but at the end of the day the only reason me and synergy put up a good fight versus the best guilds is because we got crushed by them many times before picking up on their overall strategy, their personal play styles, all the while working on our own.
Even after beating Breakfast and DP and even MVP once (ONCE...), I still didn't feel that much accomplishment with mediocre noobs telling me I'm not as good as I think I am on the forums. In battlefield 3 people would say I'm not as good as I think, and I would literally compare my KD ratio, my win/loss ratio, my accurcy, to theirs, and tell them in real numbers how much better I am than them. My vanguard is pretty high ranked in both solo and group, but what does that get me??? PvP is like... I don't wanna say subjective, but there's a lack of reward and sense of gratification from it.
TLDR: Consider working on your personal game and seeing if those teams I mentioned will try running with you, that's your personal best bet at playing in the ranked scene without queueing up with people who lack the experience needed to survive more than 45 seconds versus those teams.

WoW is what most of ITK and myself are playing, don't do FF, Wildstar is going to be subpar, ESO is going to be the best joke since Swtor.
I've been slaving over Dota 2 more than anything else. It keeps my busy.
Edit: Starcraft 2 is always a good time waster.
my buddy gave me a free code for dota 2 AGES ago (maybe 1-2 years ish), I played the original dota in wc3 back when gambler was a hero (this was in like 2005 lol), I might check that out. I haven't enjoyed a storyline in any game since wc3 RoC and TFT, so all I'm looking for is PvP/Online/Quick queues.. My best bet is probably bf4, although I did enjoy swtor PvP a lot until it got boring and repetitive.
why didn't bioware make new maps for the same games, like a different shaped hypergate, a civil war that's not just left/righ/center, a novare that's smaller and less triangular, a new huttball map would have been amazing... I've been playing for almost exactly a year and all they've added in my time is 4 arena maps which are tiny and which rubberbanded me like hell for their first few weeks of release. Such wasted potential, thats all they would have needed 6 months ago to keep the majority of people from quitting (majority of PvPers that is).

lmfao. suggestions for new games to play? I don't like MMOs generally only liked star wars cuz you can pvp all day and cuz there are lots of abilities and strategies in pvp and 1v1 or 1v2+ situations. Played bf3 a lot and warcraft 3 a lot before this.
wildstars looks too comic-y for me... might be down with bf4, everyone from bf3 moved over and battlelog is connected.... anything else worth trying?

ummm we both used our Cyros, both used the proper bursting abilities (fire pulse + canon combined with ion pulse to save ammo since I'm tank stance, then pulse canon at 3 ticks)
keep in mind I'm tank stance, 5% less damage to all abilities and I don't get 5% bonus damage from the other stance.
why am I explaining this to you I don't even know you, I imagine you're as mediocre at this game as maniac.
